I would most definitely change out the plastic diffs cuz I have the armor sent in mega and put the VXL 3S system in it and the diffs didn't last no time blew the rear out like in seconds

The coolest thing about the mega 4x4 and 3s/4S line is you can easily just change power modules from chassis to chassis

My vorteks with the almost the same gear 20t 55t on 3s goes 56mph before the 85amp esc goes in to thermal shut down

I plan on putting a brushless in mine also just not sure what yet, I have a hobby wing combo I could run 4s with but thinking of buying a castle system. I have the tlr typhon also looking to run 6s in it.

The arrma typhon 3s does 47‐48 out of the box. Some forums say you can not reach 80mph on 3 or 4s but it might be possible.
80+mph on 4s is very possible, just have to put on 6s infraction wheels and change clutch to locked with different spur. The wing puts too much downforce and any bump up front will flip especially pushing 70+. The typhon mega is an awesome platform for all kinds of builds 🍻😄
My car also have done the same thing..moving by itself.
Thats how it got run over because of batteries in my remote should have been changed.
When these cars are not calibrated...like you said it have a mind of it own.
Just changed mega arrma typhon to brushless waiting on a program card to adjust its speed and start up.
I've hD the video typhon and a few and a couple kratons and 3s senton...there's something about the typhon 3s that I think would be faster than the 6s..I think its the weight...my question is the... mega v3 conversion to blx...what could I do to bulletproof it...other than the diffs as I'm going to get the new metal diffs...

Ok..other than the motor and esc whats different between brushed version and box version...I thought the gearing pitch or something dealingvwith gears were different..and maybe center support bearing...?
The gear on the mega is a 48 pitch the gear on the brushless is a .8 mod (32p) and the Center support bearing
I hit 48.6mph on my converted mega on 3s the other day...... ran out of runway tbh. The system I used is 4s capable... guess I'll have to give it a try lol.

Wellll… I’m gonna have to do this to mine. I put the 3s system out of my granite and I’m only getting 36 mph with the 15t pinion. I figured it would be faster than that. I would hit about 48 on the granite. Any ideas on why it’s slower?? I have a 20t i can throw in it too
Hey bro you may need to get a program card to increase speed and start up also brake efficiency.
Did you change only the system out or did you also change your spur gear? .
@@JayTeeRC changed everything over. It has a 57t spur and 15t pinion
Slower because of smaller tires.
@@Fpsnut i ended resetting my esc to factory setting and that did the trick. With the 18t pinion i was able to hit 55 mph 👍🏽
Did u leave the stock mega gearing ?
Only in the gearboxes. The spur gear is a 57 tooth

I don't think you ever did a follow up video. And you didn't run it again like you said you would with the bigger pinion on 3s. Also, your GPS was obviously off for the 3s runs.
I need to know if using this setup on 3s will keep me at speed with a larger than 20t pinion.
