- Today we do a full comparison of the Arrma Typhon 6s and the Arrma Kraton 6s we race them, bash them and let you know which RC is best for you!
Both of these Arrma RC's are very popular 1/8 scale, 4wd rc cars that come RTR but you will require your own lipo batteries, charger and 4AA batteries for the radio to get these trucks going!

I heard some good things and some bad things about the TLR arrma at present a property upgraded typhon V5 is better and more cost affected, also as tunable if not more for less money

I had an older Kraton and a V2 Typhon, both on 6S. I personally found the Kraton to be more of a stunt truck-basher and the Typhon to be a race-basher. The Kraton was easy to do flips and stunts and jumps with, but I found the Typhon was better balanced in the air but harder to backflip. I got rid of them both but regretted selling the Typhon... As luck would have it, I now own a V5 Typhon and I LOVE it!!

great video, I have the standard brushed Typhon for garden bashing, jeepers thats quick enough! wow and Ive thrashed it and it wont break! both those are superb, so yeah, just have to buy both maybe :)... I also fly r/c ducted fan jets and I tell you now driving around that course with those beasts is far harder, so well done, keep up the great vids, your filming, editing, music, is exceptional! :)

I think the way the Typhon really effortlessly climbed that mound while the Kraton struggled it’s way up is what did it for me. I was unsure of which car I wanted, but seeing that the better power to weight of the typhon in action helped me realize what I wanted more out of a 6s car.

I run the Typhon 6s usually on 4s at our local private track, and I am currently building a new Kraton from the ground up. I loved your video and the comparisons. Keep up the good work.

Great vid Kiwis 🥝 I’ve got a Traxxas WideMaxx and personally I feel like it compares to the Kraton 6S. Similar speeds and everything. I think I’ll go with the Typhon for my next basher, plus that price difference is a perk. WideMaxx = Stunts. Typhon = Long jumps.

I actually prefer to run my Typhon on 4s just seems more controllable and funner for bashing. 6S for speed runs.

i wanna gear mine down and put some narrow 1/10 MT badlands. Itll act more like a kraton and be quite controllable but faster then a kraton still

I love you guys, you guys should check out the Floureon Lipos. After being in the hobby for over 20 years, I truly believe these batteries are overpowered. I once ran my X01 with some "Ovonic Lipos".. its top speed was 80mph, with those and it couldnt get past that, I later switched to the Floureon Lipos and it reached 102!
Very nearly bought the Typhon (no doubt I'll get a buggy soon enough, cos ya know, it becomes additive to collect), but got the Kraton today! After shimming the diff, managing to squeeze in a Gens Ace 6800MAH 6S 120c, took it out for a bash. Absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for me though, I forgot to calibrate the steering so I killed it after 20 mins :D Lesson learnt! Got a 35kg on it's way.

I have a highly modified Xmaxx, K8S and O8S. Out of the 3, the Xmaxx is still king of durability. But the O8S and K8S outperform it in open fields and long distance jumps. I love all 3!

Out of my 6s Arrma rigs that I've had (V4 Kraton and V2 Outcast 6s) the Typhon v3 has been the most durable one of them. And it can run better on the road, and since I put K6s hubs on the front and rear, plus K6s axle ends, I can put 2.8 or 3.8 monster truck tires. Plus the body lasts way longer. The Typhon 6s would be my choice. Good comparison and video as usual 👍
Typhon is an absolute beaut to drive too - so controllable - love it - never tried a Kraton though

I have a Typhon V5 and I have done many upgrades including shock towers bash bars Springs wheels tyres and different oils all round and the thing is a beast on the track I would have one of these over the Kraton any day as I also have a Kraton EXB
Me 2 kraton hard keep gears tires in tact o have regular kraton too , I may use to truggify typhon , its just easier get most out typhon even the outcast with same chassis , tge kraton just a lemon compared

Kraton eats the Maxx any day. It's just that the Maxx is nearly as expensive as the kraton 6s but it doesn't mean the 2 are comparable. ✌️

@@freddieparrydrums 4s batteries are cheaper. At my country they are priced the same but Arrma has really bad parts support here and Traxxas has a distributor who has everything on shelf. So for me parts support matters more. Even if I had the Maxx for almost 2 months now and nothing has broke on it. Not even the chassis bent ;)

They’re Identical just different tires and body
@@jameshankssr466 the wheelbase on the Notorious is shorter. That's why it does more wheelies and flips with ease.
I own both, yet I bought the Typhon after. Both are great ! Kraton is more fun in my fleet. Yet I love my Typhon!

Would you recommend the ready to run typhon? I honestly would rather get the ready to run for now and do upgrades as needed instead of buying the expense of roller version and then adding another few hundred dollars in electronic

Agree 100%, I typically get entry-intermmediate rtrs or kits and just mod what I want, they can be just as fast and durable. Some of these $800+ rcs I'm like I could buy 3 nice 10th scales for that.

I am on my second typhon 6s, first one blew up got another on warranty, for the stock rtr version of the 6s it is impressive, I keep up with my buddies an their 2k losi eight e, if you are going to run that spectrum motor I will say take it apart after every few runs they suck in alot an I mean alot of dirt an dust, I have sealed mine off with set screws an shoe goo around motor wires, the only open hole in my motor is around the front where the gear goes on because that is hard to seal up, and blew the tires off the rims, an that was only the outside bead,, other than that it's been a really good buggy, typhoon 6s v5 rtr

Hey there! Not at the moment, its a hard thing to sell an RC 😅
I swear I was subbed to this channel . 100% was subbed . So got the K6s . It’s sweet . The copperhead 2 s are large . I might try some 4s backflips to see how it handles . I can always go back to copperhead 2 s 👍. This sucker is scary with a 6s battery , for real . I’ve been satisfied with 4s battery power mostly but it’s nice to know it’s there . I do the same with the 1/14 size 2s/3s brushless cars . 3s seems to be a faster way to repairs . Nonetheless , very fun . After trying different sizes 1/8 -1/16 I won’t be getting any more 1/16 or 1/14 due to handling but he rlaarlo 1/14 truggy 3s (2s): does handle good imho . The only other size I can compare with is the rlaarlo cf Omni termknator . That sucker is sweet . Really like that one . She gets down like no other RC I’ve tried thst size . I d say it’s a 1/12 . I d like to see a 1/10 version of the OT . It would be legit

Man the only thing I dont like about some of those arrma kratons 6s is the motor peeking out the chassis ! That scares me as I fear a rock or a bad fall on that engine would suck. All the other truggys have there engines safe and sound wholly withen the chassis.
If you are still not sure you want to ride or fly your next RC choose an Arrma ; ) - I have the two; the two are great, the Kraton better for bashing because higher - the Typhon faster and stronger. Nice Vid !

Typhon 3S is nice at the track, just enough power and quick lap times.
You will find that tire selection will help improve your driving and handling a huge amount.
