Heh, what??? HE'S BACK??!!!
*Shocked Cornelius Fudge Face*
Great to see you uploading again, Kris! You're totally right about now being a great time to buy.
While having Intel Quick Sync is great and all, you would need to have a non-F series CPU with the iGPU built-in to use it. In other words, 13600K and not the 13600KF that is linked in the description and shown on-screen in the video. The difference in price is usually only $5. This was probably an editing mistake though because Kris did say the correct SKU.
it was corrected after i saw this ty
Glad ur back, plz more vids !!
Love the content✌️💯
Kristoferyee basically rode out the whole GPU apocalypse and now returned.
Great video! Please continue to upload, I love watching all your videos!
glad to see an upload from you man, please don't stop for another 4 months pretty please
Glad to see you uploading again my friend ✊👍🥰😇🥳. Love seeing your content when it drops. It’s know it’s been a while ….. but I would love to see a TYC and KY collab again 🥰💪
👋
Earned a sub for being so real in the end
You got that last part right.
Nice to see you agin tho keep it up
Thanks for the great insight!
Great job, good explanations.
Radeon GPUs are such great deals in the new market right now, its awesome. Also, I would advise spending the extra on 3600mhz RAM and if possible, CL16 3600mhz RAM.
thanks for the info kwis!
Already have a computer, but this is really helpful. Good to know for people who don’t have one.
Games is the last place you will notice the extra cores from the 13600K over the 7600X
LIKED, COMMENTED, AND SUBSCRIBED. YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT TO DO KRIS. (Thank you for this very resourceful video)
I have been using a 240mm ID Flow for about 2 and half years with out issues. Great Value for sure.
Definitely am not super savvy in the PC building space so thank you so much for the information Mr.Streamer.
I know how you feel with the upload schedule because i have been the same lately lol. However, whenever you do come back and upload its always good stuff! Awesome content at usual!
Just want to point out for the Fractal Design case, it's actually plastic and not tempered glass, but its still a wonderful case with plenty of space to build in!
cap i bought the case it’s def glass
I missed your PC Content
Throwing raw PC parts on carpet is the new meta
It’s crazy how I literally just bought some similar spec parts. I went with a i7-13700k which was about $40 more than i5, z790 motherboard 32gb 5600mhz ram, 1TB storage plus the 1TB I’m using from my previous system, power supply included with case, and wait for it, instead of the amd or nvidia I went with Intel Arc a770 which was actually the same price and even cheaper than most 6650 without any rebates and far cheaper than 6700, with more memory 16gb. (Of course it’s nowhere near future proof as it’s a new product altogether but if I’m going to need anything more than that then I might as well shell out hundreds of dollars more which in this moment I am in no rush to do so and can upgrade that part anytime in the future) Great video glad to see you posting!
I really enjoy your content, been watching since like 2018ish?
I was just about to buy a 3060ti. You made me realise how much more cost-effective the 6650 XT is, thanks a lot :)
Ehh
if ur able to just get the 6700xt it basically competes with the rtx3070 and has more vram than the 3060s
my man kris at 0:50 with the tarkov open im proud
It's about time you posted a new video. 💪💪💪
I missed this dude holy shit. More fb marketplace builds pls.
The i5 13600K is such a beast. Pog video!
My man is back!!
This is sweet. My budget is a bit higher than this as I game and edit. So it’s good to know I have more components to work with.
I was looking for a upgrade to my i5 11400f and i wanted to replace it with r7 5800x3d and you actualy Saved my life with this CPU
Well structured
ive been using my 6650 xt for a bit now and ima tell you now if you are comfy with just 1080p this thing is gonna last you for years for sure. I don't really see the need for higher res than 1080p other than just being eye candy but thats about it.
For anyone on a tighter budget, Microcenter has a bundle right now for a 12600k and an ASUS Z690 TUF mobo for $299. That's less than the cost of the 13600k by itself. They also bundle the same mobo with an i7 or i9 if the i5 isnt enough for you.
In store pickup unfortunately...
After reading this, I drove 45 miles to the nearest store and the total price was only $252 +tax. What a deal for those who don't need the absolute latest gen. Not a gamer, but this will upgrade my 4790k and Asus z97 mobo with DDR3. Thanks for posting this, otherwise I would never known about this or even have considered Microcenter as it is not close and they don't ship.
@@retprof9922 Nice
Also they have a deal with the am5 cpus where you can get free ram to offset the price of your build
Thank you!
wish i had seen this a bit sooner. However, i did myself a favour by getting a gaming laptop as i might use it for school. i picked up the legion 5 with r7 5800h and rx6600m, yes its all amd. got it for 1000$ where i live. i feel that it is amazing and can run any game at high settings. Thanks for this video though, in the future if i want to build a pc i will definetly come back to this channel as i seem to relate with alot of what you say.
A laptop though ? $1000 bucks?
Glad your posting PC content again, that being said, 2018 is over, stop recommending the Focus G, k thanks!
tip on the PSU if you live in the US you can always visit EVGA B-stock I got a Supernova 750 GT for $60 right now it is on sale for $110 new OFC what is in B-Stock is constantly changing sometimes there are good deals sometimes there is not.
thanks man, ggs :)
Please recommend fractal designs focus 2! Its around $62 with everything you would need, great airflow and very minimalistic.
I picked one up immediately and I don’t even know what’s going in it yet
Wouldn't personally pair a 13600K and a 6650XT, both amazing value propositions but not a great pairing since you're bottlenecking your CPU a fair bit. Also if you're a streamer and content creator, something like the 6700/6700XT might be a bit of a better option just because of the extra VRAM and they can often be found for similar prices. But if you're trying to stick to that 1000$ price point the 6650XT is probably the way to go.
Also, for storage, it might be better to get a good 1TB pcie4 nvme ssd, and a 2TB hard drive. You get an extra TB of storage for the same money or 5$ extra.
An Rx 6800 (non-XT) is the best value card you can get right now and would definitely pair much better with the 13600k
@@cluckern9614 as a rx 6800 non xt owner, i like this comment
@@Xenoray1 best card I've ever owned and so much faster than the 3070 I traded someone for it
31k+ in Passmark 3d Mark
17k+ in Time Spy
30% faster in games than my 3070
I honestly wasn't expecting the card to OC so easily and then manage to stay reasonably cool while only drawing about 230w for what I feel are bordering on RTX 3090 levels of performance in some situations. The thing absolutely rips and will probably be in my system for quite awhile
@@cluckern9614 Just helped my buddy pick out a new build this week, went with a 12600k & 6800 (non XT, those all sold out around $500 unfortunately. Bright side less TDP)
Was around $1200 b4 new 1440 monitor and peripherals. Could've knocked about another $100 off had he not NEEDED everything to come from amazon.
This combo you're getting WAY more GPU, with a more sane CPU combo that wont bottleneck. Reducing CPU saves about $100, while upgrading GPU adds $200.
Only $100 more you're getting quite the performance boost over 6650XT.
Yea 13600k is a bit overkill for a 6650xt, I have a 5600x with a 6700xt right now and never get cpu limited
That Cougar Argon 2 looks unmistakenly like the Fractal Focus G 🙂
Miss seeing ya on CZcams Kris!
Yeah bought a rx 6750 xt for 380 bucks on newegg. As well as a 750w, full mod, 10 year warrenty PSU for 65 bucks.
The deals only lasted a dayish-- so I am in fact, very gald I spent my money quickly.
HP Victus ($699) at Costco was out of stock December 8, 2022.

512GB SSD
Wi-Fi 6 (2x2/160) Gig+ and Bluetooth

Great build! I bought a ibuypower pre-built right before Black Friday with a i7 and 3070 for $1150 + tax. I did install a water cooler that cost me $85. But I think it was a very good deal for the hardware.
How much ram and ssd storage

legend bro, legend!
kris ive missed your videos buddy
GPU tariff exemption got extended another 9 months. No rush anymore, just wait for good deals
Well now I'm just confused.
In doing some research, the i5-13600K did look very good, so was thinking of picking it up. Then, a friend who works in tech told me that was a bad decision... that an i9-12900 was better for running a single pc gaming AND streaming setup. So, figured I'd hold off till I could afford the price difference.
NOW, this vid tells me my initial research was on the money and the 15-13600K would work well.
NotLikeThis
Just get a 13700K, it's better for gaming than the 12900K and beats it out on most benchmarks (both also have the same 8 Performance and 8 Efficiency core design). If anything, 13600K is your budget option. If you have the extra money though (Or if you have a Micro Center near you, where the 13700K is only 379.99) just spring for the 13700K.
Make a pc build guide for the parts you’ve shown in the video(please)
So nice to see you putting out content. I think this build is unbalanced. A 13600k can handle a lot more gpu. I would get an ryzen 5600 for $120 and put the $190 savings towards a gpu. You can get a 6750 for $390 or a 6800 (non xt) for $500.
Also if you live near microcente, you can get a 7700x for $350 with 32gb of ddr5 for free. Plus $20 off a mobo. So around $530 for cpu, ram and mobo.
13600K is gonna last 1-3 more GPU upgrades, depending on the person's needs. 5600 is not. I think there's an argument for both, but I strongly support getting the 13600K. (7700X is a great option if near a microcenter)
@@WHOAitsCharmander my rule is never pay now for performance you will need in the future. In three years 13600k level performance will probably be available for $120. I would maybe think about the upgradability of the platform, but I would pay for cpu performance I wouldn't maximize right now.
@@WHOAitsCharmander by the time u need an upgrade the faster 5k series CPUs will be worth next to nothing.
Similar to what i would have said for value gaming atm, R5 5600 and R6600 or R6700 family are just wildly good value atm.
damn, now that you mention it the ssd i bought it still around the same price it was on black friday
startin to think i've been bamboozled lmao
Dudeeee misses u bro
Hi, the ram listed for 78 is out of stock at those specs but you can get the same 32GB stick set at 3600 for only $6 more. Isn't this speed faster than 3200 even if the CL is 18 instead of 16?
2:43 I see you havent noticed that AMD will release SmartAccess Video, which is the rough Equivalent of QuickSync.
Great vid.
What about windows? Do you recommend getting windows 11 or sticking with 10 still?
Also used GPUs are still viable but beware as many have been mined on and not taken the best care of in the current stock available
A used 3070 can be squeezed into a 1000$ Pc build budget nowadays
Or stick with a new 6700 XT and not roll the dice on a used GPU. I do not get people suggesting buying used GPUs for inexperienced builders, or hell, anyone. It's not worth it unless you are getting a crazy deal and you're crazy lucky.
@@PitH0und Completely incorrect, unless buying from FB marketplace, craigslist, or locally thru like Offerup. Via Ebay, as long as someone finds someone with a decent amount of positive feedback and sales, buying there is relatively safe. Have bought so many used GPUs (mining or otherwise) from ebay and have had relatively no issues even after several years of gaming use. Haven't even needed to take advantage of ebay buyer protection which really should alleviate alot of worry. Not sure how well this would work in other countries or where ebay buyer protection isn't as easy to use, or not available, but at least in the US and Canada its a relatively safe option to go with for beginners or otherwise.
@@PitH0und 6700XT? 6800 is more comparable in performance, and price to a 3070. You can build a new $1000 computer with a 6800, no bottleneck, no problem. Probably low storage/RAM unless you add another hundred or two. Hard pressed to do that with a 3070 using about 60% of your budget new.
Used GPUS can be a GREAT DEAL, if you know what to look for. Just because a card was mined on doesn't make it E-Waste. I have questions at that point with the seller to verify if this card was taken care of, or put through hell. If they Don't know what I'm talking about, Red flag. If they seem to be just telling me what I want to hear, Red flag. If you personally think you don't know enough / aren't willing to deal with used, then by all means don't put yourself in a uncomfortable position just to save a buck.
Personally got a used 2070 in 2019 still rocking it today, probably one of the best purchases for me ever. Right before the GPU crisis hit and all of a sudden my GPU quadrupled in value. If it wasn't for that sweet deal I'd probably still be rocking a RX480 8gb.
That’s basically me. Some friends sold me a B-550 mobo and 5600x cpu that was a year old for $250. I paired it with a new 3070 I got for $500 straight during the height of gpu shortage.
The best places to buy computer parts here in Sweden offer computer building/testing for $75-80 which i find a reasonable fee. Personally i build my own computers and friends and family's computers. I do not understand how prebuilt computers get away with such high markups.
Missed this guy, I'm proud to say that I finally got a sim card and can join the discord. And never be Active
That is exactly what i was about to build the only thing i would change is the GPU 6800xt was what i was on to but now im waiting for the upcoming AMD gpu cuz that intel 13600k is a beast of a CPU
It is a fire cpu. I just wish it wasn't on a dead chipset. Upgrading again for me is a drag so I went with ryzen for a long term build. Also the new amd gpus are gonna be a crazy good value
does the price hike of gpu also affect Canadian or is it really a US specific deal
Kris is back?!? Lets goo
You just made my year
Been doing that since 2018
Okay yup
You just sold it too me lol I’m getting the 6650xt but is the 12100f a better option for cpu or no?
Plus using the b660m ds3h ddr4 MB by gigabyte
I absolutely cringe at the way you drop your components. I love it.
imo best budget cpu out there is a ryzen 5 5600x, its usually 60% off almost everywhere
A lot of his suggestions dont make sense in my point of view...
Like why would he spend so much on a CPU and then buy such a "low end" GPU instead of shifting it around
Could have saved 200€ on the CPU to invest it in a better GPU and get overall more performance...
@@jenshennig759 yeah the 13600k should be used in 1400+ budget not 1100 budget

The prices bout to go so high after this video
Just got the ID Frostflow for my partner's build for £55
You can grab a B-stock refurbished Arctic AIO from ebay for cheaper. It's backed by Arctics warranty.
i really like the kolink observatory light mesh i think its around the same price
Not sure why it took twelve days to show up in my recommended but I clicked instantly!
Hmm. I've found B650 MBs for around the same price as Z690 boards. What are you talking about that you'd be paying more for AM5?
microcenter just had a deal for a 12700k and z690 ddr4 motherboard for only $320 if you have a location near you i would definitely scoop up this deal before theyre sold out
I’m new to pc gaming and considering buying this pc. Would I be able to buy any mid tower case and what type of fans would work with it ?
If you get a good case that comes with fans like a corsair 4000D airflow, or the one shown here you shouldn't have to worry about installing extra case fans.
GPU, and PSU will come with fans pre-installed as well. If you end up getting a case with no fans installed generally 120MM are good but check your cases manual for size compatibility.
Your CPU cooler will be a choice between air tower cooler ( my preference as its generally easier to install)
AIO (all in one) Liquid cooling, or Custom water cooling (absolutely no for a new builder.)
You can get a Peerless assassin SE for like $35 rn which is half the price of the AIO shown, and its certainly more then half the cooling of the AIO. Don't have to worry about RAD placement either with a tower cooler.
Also for gaming (especially @ 1440p resolution or above) you'll probably want to bump that RX 6650XT Kris recommended up to a RX 6700XT or a RX6800.
For only about $40 more the 6700Xt is a no brainer.
For about $200 more the 6800(nonXT) still makes sense to me especially if you pair it with a more reasonable CPU as the 13600K is overkill for a 6800.
So if you take $100 off going to a 12600k, and add $200 more for the 6800 that would be the best bang for your buck combo IMO. Only $100 more and the performance difference from a 6650 to a 6800 will be noticeable.
You should also go for a 750 W PSU instead of a a 600W with a 6800, but that should be maybe another $20-$40 at most.
@@BlackAxe101 thanks so much this was helpful
holy shit a KristoferYee video is hell freezing over?
I was lazy and bought one off Amazon and ended up paying 1199 plus the protection and tax ended up being around 1300. I tried to build a PC once and forgot one tiny detail on the network card: a standoff. Other than that everything was perfect. Yeah, I'll never do that again. Worst feeling ever. A former corporate IT guy (Z/OS IBM Mainframe operations) that ruins a pc build, yeah, it was a big hit on my IT ego. I might try it again. If not for nothing else, just to beat myself down again. Man, I need help.
Will the 25% increase affect gaming laptops as well?
GODDAMMIT I WISH THIS VID CAME OUT WHEN I WAS BUYING PARTS
barring the SSD, which component is the costco PC scaled back on?
Seems like a pretty good deal. I forgot all about the 25% increase coming at the end of the year. oof
Do you get quick sync with an Intel chip paired with an AMD card?
Welp now I regret wasting my money months ago even sooner. Its still going to be until at least the end of Jan before I can afford to get a prebuilt or build my own but with this... it might be more so March- April.
Maybe I should just build something with integrated graphics so I have a functional pc again at least and then install the gpu a month or two later
If the GPU is not available ? Is there another option people recommend that will work with this ?
uncle kwis posted again widepeepoHappy
Damn using Reverse Psychology to get me to like, comment, and subscribe
if you want a PC that's actually good get the following instead (literally 20% faster in gaming, than this guys and has an actual color scheme that's clean(white and black too))
Ryzen 5 5800X3D $359
WD SN750 500gb $49
SG Baracuda 2tb $49
Asrock A520 MATX $59
TG Delta 2x16gb 3600mhz $99
Evga B-Stock 600W semi-modular $39
Altogether it's a over a $100 cheaper since you don't need to by a CPU cooler since the 5800X3D comes with a very good one, and the 5800X3D is 20% faster than 13600k in gaming
Tbh for me I went with a better psu, new ryzen cpu and better parts because I'd have to upgrade earlier, spend around the same if i go with Intel and I'll have to buy new parts again. Where as buying the am5 chipset all i have to buy if I want to upgrade would be a new gpu or cpu. Also i wouldn't have to build the whole thing again
Liked, commented, and subscribed. Your upload schedule is atrocious
It is just hurt that you shackled those pc part
I don’t live in the us, but the prices here are like 100-200 dollars more expensive for full builds
Is it true that if you pair AMD cpu and gpu you get more fps performance. If it's true is it better to get AMD cpu instead?
Yeah I’ll still take pre built
Idc to build my own i don’t wanna learn I just wanna game on my Rig 🤷♂️ and have fun

Helloooo...i have a tight budget, is ryzen 5 1600 still a good buy? And a 1050 gpu?😶
what's your budget?
if it's in the 300-400$ range, I recommend you search up a z440 build and see how you like it
Idk man, i built my current pc on a dead chipset because the 10/11th gen intel would be "good enough". They are fine, but the 12th and 13th gen came with a giant leap in performance. If i had to start over i would probably do AMD and go from a 3600 (i current have a 10400f) to something like the 5800x. Also the AMD gpu, since you going intel 13th gen for editing, wouldn't it also make sense to go nvdia, since they have some tools to help editing/pro tools like CUDA?
Yea the only thing is nvidia gpu pricing is pretty horrible rn compared to amd gpus.
