tbh yea I hate when a game suddenly asks for 10th gen CPU and I go complain about how stupid it sounds and then get the people who say it is a 4 year old CPU how you don't have it.

Got a 7900xtx, soft was buggy fuckin trash. Traded it to a bud for a 3080ti and 250, with installation and driver removal and installation. Fixed all my crashes, bugs, bluescreens, everything. Is it last gen? Yes. Does it play literally everything I want and better than the supposed best of the best? Also yes. AMD gpu, nice, AMD drivers, dogshit if you're a technodumbass like me. If you're not tech savvy, go nvidia. That said, my AMD processor, 7900x3d works incredibly well.

Function over form, every time. Get what you need and maintain it for eternity.

Im using an 11500 and a 2070 and its doing great

i still use a computer from 2011 , i had to upgrade graphics card 5 years ago, because the old one could not handle modern games anymore, other than that i am still happy with my computer )

Get ryzen 7 5800x3d (for all the rgb) and a 3070 and congratulations you can now play any game at 1440p over 120 fps

I got a 3070 and i love graphics but 8 gigs of vram i wish i did more research i thought 3070 is better than 3060 ti because of the number

You gotta, to an extent, think long term though. Sure to an extent a 3080 TI will play the average AAA game today, but 3, 4, 5 years from now, maybe not. I see your point with the buzzwords thing, but sometimes it is worth paying $3000 over $2500 or something of the sort.

Working as an audio engineer, I kept seeing people upgrade their pc’s but facing the same bottlenecks … completelt ignoring me telling them “just max out your ram” … A computer you buy should not need part uogrades every 6 months … epecially when you spend only a third of the time and probably even less, maxing out its capabilities

I built my PC 11 years ago. In it's life time I've had to replace the power supply and a CPU fan. That's it. I built it with the idea of owning it for 15-20 years before building another. My PC does everything I want it to do will do so for the next decade. My GTX1060 holds up perfectly fine to this day.
