Nameless King and Friede were the two hardest for me. Was able to cheese NK by respeccing points into strength and using the Dragonslayer shield since it soaks most of the damage in phase 2

You can't hate on Asmon for the way he reacts to these but you can hear him honestly wanting her to finish the run and move on. He tells everyone how to beat the enemy and what to do to move on. It's hilarious how SUPER engaged he is while reacting to the Emiru playthrough

Reminds me of HS sports, when you'd be blowing another team out, and then we put our own Asmongold in. You know, the guy who was objectively terrible at everything, but tried REALLY hard. Then everyone would go fuckin' crazy when he touched the ball, or scored a bucket :)

I know it's a small thing, but I really hate that the worst parts of the Souls community have instilled almost all new players with this pointless need to do things "legit". Emiru really got to the end of Nameless King and said "dang, I had to "cheat" and use an ember and didn't do it with just flasks".
Bro, you just beat one of the hardest bosses that's come out of FromSoftware's doors. You could have used a broken mage build or bleed build and beating him is still an achievement for any new player, regardless of the method or build. They put the embers in the game for a reason: so players can use them.
Same, can’t use magic, can’t use shields, you like dex weapons? Too bad.

Did this fight for the first time last night. Very interesting fight. You can't go under the bird because that's when he flies up and nukes you from orbit. Just stay about 5 meters in front of him and poke its head on punish windows. By my third attempt I was consistently doing phase one no hit, and second phase is super easy because he's so slow, 2 tries for second phase. The exploding lightening puddles where the only thing that hit me I think.
I love this friendship the two of them have formed over the last year. I wish they would play some games together. That would be entertaining lol

After finishing Elden Ring and now watching this boss, it looks so easy to beat, and I have never played any dark soul game before.
Na bruh i too thought that at first but when i actually played ds3 after completing elden ring nameless king and darkeater midir fucked me up.
For me personally midir was harder than malenia .

i get the feeling emi isn't the first person asmon has tried to backseat in this game. he probably has an alt he backseats on cuz it frustrated him to no end so he has to pass the feeling to the next person.

I've fought the nameless king iver 50 times at this point and I've never seen him do the 4 piece combo
feels like in those games. the longer you fight bosses in a round. they end up adding a new combo or attack a bit faster. because normally it takes a few minutes to beat up a bit. but if it's on a 4 or 5 minute mark. than this happens. I notice when I was started playing soul games myself.
It's so ironic to see asmon acting like this when he was even worse than her when he was fighting this boss.

Once I got a controller with back buttons and mapped one to dodge so i didnt have to use auto lock the game became trivial. I say as i still take 10 tries per boss

I remember the first time I played Monster Hunter on PS2. I don't really understand the tricks and techniques of the game. Likewise with building weapons and armor. My hardest Boss opponent was Rathalos at that time. now without Potion I can kill Rathalos easily.
