Good points, the first reason I got my windows tinted on all of my cars, is I can't stand when people look over at me at red lights! Another reason is the heat, ceramic tint is the best when it comes to blocking heat!

I got 2 layers of 5% on my camaro in Texas and never gotten stopped for it, I’ve been stopped for speeding but they never once told me anything about it 🤷🏽♂️ maybe because they know it be hot asf 😂
Hell yeah, this video made me love my tints even more, and I thought that wasn’t possible. I’m proud to say, about 3 weeks ago, I took the final plunge and got my front windshield fully tinted with 30 percent. With limo tint everywhere else, damn it’s sexy.
Tint is so amazing. It protects the interior, keeps the car cooler, and no one can stare at you. It's so dumb how some states don't allow dark tint. I live in a desert and they only allow like 55% in the front Windows 😠😠 waiting for the day when I get pulled over because of my 5% lol.

sarina xoxoxo 5% tint is illegal for a good reason. Say you get pulled over and your car has 5% all the way around. The officer that is walking up to your car cannot see inside and therefore might think he is in danger because he cant see what your doing. Im a fan of window tint but I also understand the point of the limit on how dark you can go.
Eugene Krabs I understand that, but that's why you roll your window down. Also in my state there's only limits on the front Windows that can only be tinted like 55%. So if you get pulled over and roll your window down it's kinda useless those laws are there. Some states also do not have those laws and the cops survive there just fine.

When I bought my obs ford it came that way it looked so good I got compliments all the time one cuz my truck looked like new and it’s over 20 years old then the tint set it off now it’s lifted with 20x12 wrapped in 35s and I seen a truck set up the same with no tent it dose really set it off

I see a lot of 5% tint cars in Arizona & Nevada where I live. He’s right about it blocking out the heat. Law enforcement seems to understand that considering how hot it gets out here in the desert.

i got pulled over for tint a few weeks ago and had to rip it off my front windows and ive been driving around with no tint and i absolutely hate it, i can feel the heat coming in and my truck gets really hot, and i also hate how people can see me in my truck. i wish my guy wasnt so backed up because i need my 5% ceramic

MaxiiBoii it depends on your state some just need your doctor to fill out a form and some do all kinds of checks and you have to get it notarized and all that

Its good for blocking the sun and privacy, but i bet its really hard to see at night, especially when raining.
I got 5% tint on my car in 2003. Wasn't until 2016 that I got pulled over. He measured it at 3% . Guess it got darker as the film baked in the sun. To be honest, it was getting blotchy and needed to be redone anyway.
I went to 20% to attract less attention (35% is the max here), and it's definitely warmer in the car now. It's easier to see at night, but now I have to hold my hand up to shade the sun going certain directions during the day.

I have a eco boost 2019 Limited F-150 that has 40s on it and a 10inch coliovers lift with king racing shocks. Airbags in the rear im adding bigger twin trubos and new intercooler with straight pipes to a Y pipe down pipe with 2step going be sick. We are trying push 1000hp i get 26mpg right now. Gas is 2.00 im getting a 2500 GMC AT4 Duramax this year as well really dont like the new rams i have a 5.9 24 06 with 3million miles on still runs its all stock.

I prefer 15-20% tint on all sides and rear window. I've had 25% and 35% tint and to me its too light and not worth it. The windshield strip I prefer 5%. It really does block out the UV rays, looks good. Though it can be difficult at times trying to back up at night. But that is when you roll the window down. I've only been stopped one time because my tint was too dark and living in Ohio at the time the local officer couldn't see my front plate due to tinted licence plate covers and front car bra. He let me go with a warning because my driving record was clean and I also believe I was dressed in a shirt and tie for work. Any time I'm near a officer I make sure to roll those windows down. I did take off the tinted license plate covers.
I just tinted my car windows but I badly messed up the tint on my back windshield. In 2 or 3 weeks from now I will get it done by a professional. Lol it was my first time tinting but I was wondering can I buy temporary tint for the back windshield only to tint on the outside just for temporary? I know tint on the outside is bad but it's only for temporary...
People never know if someone is in the car or not that’s why I love tints they reduce theft a lot

Florida is the most hot place to be. You definitely need to take your windows. The sun will bake the car from the inside out your windows very valuable information.

+Ryan Mayer 3M does the "top dog" of window film: 100 micron security 5% tint - can't see you, can't touch you !
So does 3M 5% offer better privacy than other brands of 5%?
+REVIGOR For a better absorption of the outside light, get the BLACK tint, not the charcoal. (3M does it, along with suntek e.g.)
More light is filtered by black tints. And the darker it gets inside the cabine, the more privacy you have.
You can also use legal athermal tint for the whole windshield (it comes in 92, 80 and 70%) which acts like a one way mirror like you have in police rooms. If you have 5% all around with an athermal windshield, nobody will see you, even on a super bright day. Don't forget about the tint strip, it darkens even more the interior of your car.

@@javaman2883 It's exactly the same as athermal windshields that comes from factory on a lot of cars and SUVs. Just look at the new Skodas, VWs and Audis, it's a green reflective tint. So it is very legal, it passed the inspection before being commercialized !

My tint is 50 on the whole shield with a 10 inch 5 brow. 5 over 35 on the front and double 5 over 20 on the back

I drive a f150 reg cab , 3% back window , 5% sides , 14inch low 5% sun strip and i love it.
I want a lower sun strip mine is too short

This morning I filled up my truck @ $3.83 for 91 (I used my .10c off/ gallon with shell). My truck took $101.33 for 26 gallons or so. I wish I had $2.75 / gallon again

To avoid prolonged exposure to UV radiations, one can stay indoor, wrap yourself with a ceramic tint or wear sunscreen. I normal wear sunscreen.

Ryan the heat will come through the tint when it is sitting in the sun. Most of the heat comes through the metal of the roof and side panels. Just park under a tree.

Pedro Clemente If you have not done it before, I would suggest Gila window film which is sold at AutoZone and other similar stores. It is very inexpensive and it is of good quality. I've used it myself to tint the back window of someone's car and the front windows on mine. It's sold in 5%, 20%, and 35%, and in dyed or metalized versions. I will say though that the basic film has a blue hue to it which I don't like.

Window tint is helpful for me because I have a 1995 Firebird. The plastic interior doesn’t like the sun.
Here in los Angeles our diesel is like at 4.18 and premium gas is about 3.80
One day when I was sitting in my truck with my windows tinted a car parked next to me a lady got out and hit my truck with her door then walked straight into my mirror face 1st I was laughing my ass off
The tint isn't what holds the glass together it may help but car windows are made out of laminated glass for that reason so that if something hits them they do not shatter and sending shards of glass into the car
The front window is laminated glass, maybe the rear on a car. But all side windows are tempered glass. So the side windows will shatter.
Here in Pgh unleaded is 3.09 and some places 3.15 diesels damn near 4.00
biggest safety hazard i think is when its around dusk or just after. You have to be careful when pulling out or turning cuz theirs those people driving around with there lights off

I couldn't agree more, I drive an 09 Passat with 20% on the front doors and 5% on the back doors and and windshield, and I absolutely love it, I also think tint on black cars is absolutely just perfect, my cars black and I feel the all black look is just too hard to beat, it just pisses me off how I live in a state their illegal and it's so stupid how their legit illegal only because the cops want visibility in the car when making stops like GTFO and you wonder why so many people look over the stupid ass laws when that's the reasoning behind it because cops don't want you having privacy in your car because they see it as every car with tints is either about to go do a drive by or is a drug dealer they don't look at tints like an ordinary person does and looks at all the benefits, their like oh they have tints their definitely a drug dealer, yeah and no wonder people now a days have a hard time trusting police, since we can't even have privacy in our cars without getting pulled over for it, and I've been pulled 3 times, got a ticket but I'm paying the fine and moving on, especially during summer time no way my tints are coming off during the hottest time of the year

It’s a look for dodge guys to have their towing mirrors all the way out all the time. Don’t know why, towing mirrors angled like regular mirrors (see the back corner of your truck) can’t see shit.

So true man! I've been trying to tell law enforcement ect. in my area this stuff for years! (Front tint is illegal in VT) but they for whatever reason just won't budge. I get pulled over all the time out here just for, in my opinion, having an extra safety feature on my car & truck.
What is your opinion on front windshield tint? I do a lot of night time driving and I want something that’s going to help with sun in the day but also not be a hazard for nighttime driving. Would 5% be too dark? I already have 5% all the way around and I see just fine.
Gus 5% down the windshield would be way to dark. My friend has 35% down his windshield and he has Trouble seeing at night but only because he has tinted headlights, the darkest I would got would be 35% or even 50%
My brother has 35 percent on his windshield and it works fine against protecting against the sun and it’s not too bad at night but it looks really nice from the outside.
5% is very dark for a windshield, if you like dark and have 5% already a 35% front would be good! Keep the car blacked out but you could still see out!

$3.05 for diesel. Here where I’m at it’s almost $4 a gallon for diesel.
Some cars look better with tint but on others it makes them look bad. In the lowrider scene you’ll notice that very few cars have tint. Tint on older cars just doesn’t look right.
