- We're kicking off a new series of videos called "The Road to Horsepower." Our drivers all weighed in on their favorite "usable" power range for each platform while retaining a fun driving experience on the street.
While it is possible and we have certainly made more power with these platforms, the goal of this series is to aim for that "magic" number that maximizes your driving enjoyment and reliability.
We're kicking off this series with the mighty LNF! With help from the Snobalt, Ryan D will take you down the Road to 400 WHP! What's great about the LNF, is you have several options to achieve that magical number, and who better than Ryan D to go through them?
We hope you enjoy this new series and we will eventually cover every platform at ZZP. Let us know in the comments what you think!

Wheels on snowbalt 🔥
would love to see a Path to 400HP in a 3800 (supercharged) and a turbo setup as well! mainly because i want to see whats the most efficent way to reach 400HP that can keep up with modern muscle cars. (thats what most people drive here in Omaha.)
It'd be turbo efficiency wise I'd imagine
400whp supercharged is expensive and not easy, but possible, 400whp turbo is easy. Heh.
Wow that’s awesome Ryan D! Great info and nice car there man!!!!
Love hearing from zzp I've been missing the power hour podcasts
Awesome video! Very informational, I would love to see a similar video on the lsj and the other platform cars.
Keep an eye out, we plan to run through all the platforms with similar videos.
Good video, had a hard time hearing you when you were inside the car. I would like to see a 500hp video. All in all good job and would also like to see other platforms
I'd love to see a path too 400whp with the 2.2 if it's possible
An lsj video would be sweet
It's in queue!
A single vid like this for the 2.2 would be verry appreciated
Billet mounts and axles are night/day difference as well as completely necessary imo…more exhaust asmr please, I’m close to buying mine soon 😆
Path to 400 in the Sonic/Cruze 1.4? Pretty please? 😁
Already been done by @Dave’s world
300whp as a daily is more realistic, we have made well over 400whp in our drag Sonic, but it wasnt daily driveable IN MY OPINION at that power. We will be doing a 260ish whp video shortly.
@TurboTimZZP Turbo Tim, the goat! Thanks for replying. I'm looking at building something that I *can* daily, but is also gonna be competitive on road courses while running pump 93. What are your opinions on Garrett's G25-550 for a built 1.4 for ~300-350 wheel? Or would you recommend an HX35 or 20G?
Going to need stiffer mounts than the rubber ones that make the engine buck harder than a 12-pointer.
Do a road to 400/ 500 LE5
Side mrrors on the Snowbalt, more information please. are they custom?
Path to 400hp with a L61. I need that in my life
Wanna see half mile runs please
I have searched and searched but trying to find out what would be the better buy, the zfr 7163 or the Borg s257 turbo? And why?
Please do this for the 3800 sc (l32 no drive by wire)
The Stock internals can handle that much power?
It 100% depends on if you have a Gen 2 or Gen 3 setup. On a gen 3 rods and pistons are recommended, the gen 2 doesn't need rods and pistons.
The gloves are another 50hp
55hp. Dont skimp me on the 5 HP!
Great insight! I wouldn’t mind a 500 HP level Video Ryan!
Would it be the same on an LE5 (forged)? Everything you mentioned besides the injectors can be fitted on that engine.
i have almost everything for my lnf just need billet cams but still cant enjoy my car still waiting for zzp to fix my tune since they sent my PCM with the wrong tune and never fixed it for me
Hello,
ZZP will stand behind their tuning if something was missed . If you have emailed in you likely have either a return label or a solution in your email box ready to go.
I would love to see a path of 400 horsepower with a 2.4 if possible
I wish you guys made parts for the Hyundai N cars.
Don’t you need rods and pistons at that level
From everything I've researched up your ganna want to
