No devil fruits for Mihawk, he’s just an extremely strong badass like Garp
It's not made so clear in the episode, but it was Mihawk who sank Don Krieg's 50 ships and killed his men.
They showed it while Garp was on call with him
it wasn't clear in the live action that gin (the starving guy) was apart of Don krieg's crew though.@@markcruz359
@@markcruz359 Yes, but no one who hasn't seen the anime knew that Gin was part of Don Krieg's crew when he came to Baratie. So it looks like Mihawk only "took care" of one ship. It would have been so much clearer if Don Krieg had said to Mihawk, "Why did you sink my fleet?".

I think it was actually a good decision for the live action tonleace that ambiguous.
It makes the grand line feel more scary if a fller of ships could be taken out by any random thing, instead of by the World's Strongest Swordsman (who is one-of-a-kind by definition).
Especially since the live action also cuts Gaimon, so you lose a seperate instance of the Grand Line being hyped up.
One thing i love about one piece is, it was able to make us instinctively say, "us, our, we" when we talk about it like we are part of the crew, manga and anime did that and the live action miraculously manage to do that as well
I've definitely seem emme use "us, our, we" before, I think likely in the MCU journey. Another one where you really end up feeling part of the family they found.
Mihawk DOESN'T eat any devil fruit... He is naturally strong
I don't think we have proof that he didn't eat one. Even the Kaido image doesn't prove it. He most likely doesn't have any fruit mind you, but there's no absolute proof of it.

Mihawk was introduced so early, cause Oda wanted to show the power scaling of his world. While Luffy/Zoro are freakishly strong compared to "lower tier" pirates like Buggy, the Black Cat Pirates, or some lower tier Marines, they cant hold a candle to the real big guys like Mihawk out there in the grand line... YET!
The crew has still a long long way to go... Like 1100+ chapters! 😉😁
Oda didn't plan for this much power cliffing. If he did he never would have made Shanks lose his arm to a fish

He literally wouldn't need to. Did you even read One piece. Characters move faster than lasers and causally tank enough force to destroy a country. Shanks is above all of them.
The sea king wouldn't even perceive him or be able to hurt him if Oda had an idea of making Top tiers like Yonko have world destroying power. @@XxSircampsalotXx

@@Agent-57 Did I say he had the entire system completely figured out, or that he had already planned how strong Shanks is, or what his role in the later arcs will be? 2 things can be true at the same time.
Oda hadnt figured out the exact power levels and power systems we have right now in the later chapters. But he also used Mihawk to show how weak our protagonists are and how hard the road in the future will be.
So stop being such an artogant smartass. Cause your comment has nothing to do with what I wrote.

Mihawk is a glimpse into the Grand Line. The Grand Line is no joke. The entire area is treacherous. Never mind the ridiculously overpowered pirates that dwell there like Mihawk. Those waters are not meant for some half assed ship crew to sail on. The StrawHats have their work cut out for them but that’s where the adventure really begins.
Also, and this is just a comment on other reactors who noticed adult Luffy having an accent while young Luffy does not. I think this can actually be explained if the live action introduces Dadan and if the LA version of that character has the same accent. It could just be explained that young Luffy unconsciously adopted the accent growing up around Dadan.

Mihawk has the best anime character introduction of all Live Action.
In one piece world, some get to the top with devil fruits and serious training; some just went through tons of serious training, such as Mihawk, Garp and Shanks.

In manga luffy accidentally shot the head chef with cannon ball (he didn't take much damage) and that was the reason he became chore boy
As for the treasure slot thing makino the green hair girl we saw in shanks flashback give luffy food let's say for free in a way (luffy made a promise he would pay her back once he had find big treasure ) so that's treasure slot meantioned here

I just realized that this technique is the basis for Gear 3, This is just normal innnnflation of the body, namely the lungs and stomach, Gear 3 is him inflating his bones and muscles

In fairness so far, both in the manga and LA, at this point in the story both Luffy and Zoro have pretty much steamrolled every opponent they've faced with little difficulty. Certainly each villain had a gimmick that caused initial problems but were quickly overcome. It's like watching a varsity football team take on nothing but freshman teams, then they challenge a pro team and get wrecked. If you don't know what the top level is then all you can base the top level at is what you've seen. It's why Oda brought Mihawk in when he did, to show us that the Straw Hats are just big fish in a small pond.
That and you naturally vote for the character you know especially if they haven't lost...you assume the hero will just keep winning

"eat at BaratI-" Well that's how it should be pronounced since it should be based on French and in French you don't pronounce the "e" at the end of a word looking like that, but that's not how it is pronounced. You should have been right though.
"how convenient of that fog" I mean Luffy just destroyed their mast, they're not able to pursue Luffy, fog or no fog. The fog is more there to help with scene transition that to escape Garp xD
"What about Zoro. Have we considered that?" Zoro has been considered for greatest swordsman and then promptly laughed out of the room. Zoro isn't the one cutting ships in half from half a mileaway xD Also as far as we can tell, Mihawk can do that *without* devil fruit.

So season 1 here covers about 60 episodes. In the anime the whole Garp reveal doesn't happen until episode 300+. So here it is early, and honestly they did a MUCH better job of it in the live action. It happens during some action and chase. While in the anime Garp just shows up, punches a hole in a wall, and reveals who he is.

Some OP trivia for you :
- The snail thing is called Den Den Mushi in the manga, it's a mean of communication in the OP world.
- Warlords of the Sea is called Shichibukai in the manga. Shichibukai are special positions, held by powerful pirates that work for the Marines/World Government. Since they work for the Marines, they have immunity when they deal with Marines and they have the "license" to pirate officially. For these privileges, the Marines use them for various needs/tasks, just like Garp sent Mihawk to catch Luffy. They are essentially the Marines' lapdogs.
- There are always 7 Shichibukai slots available, so they will be called Seven Warlords of the Sea in the live action. When someone dies/resigned, it will be filled. Pirates want to be a Shichibukai for the privilege and it will raise their status.
- Current Shichibukai as of OP live action Season 1 (in no particular order) are :
Dracule Mihawk, Bartholomew Kuma, Boa Hancock, Mr. Crocodile, Gecko Moria, Don Quixote DoFlamingo and Jinbe.
- The next story arc after Season 1 should be Arabasta arc where the Strawhat Pirates will deal with one of the Shichibukai who's also a devil fruit user. It will be the first real challenge for Luffy, ability/power wise.
If any character has eaten a devil fruit, they will brag about it. In this season the only two characters who have devil fruit powers are Luffy and Buggy.
This show is really a master class, but episodes 5 and 6 are just my favorites.

I know it’s hard to remember but this is based off a anime so people are crazy strong so not everybody needs a devil fruit to be strong and like they said, people with devil fruits can’t swim so you’ll know if they do
She should watch the Anime episode with Mihawk. It's only 20 min, and its basically self contained
The starving man was a member of Don Krieg's armada and it was completely destroyed by Mihawk.

nothing garp said or did so far was bad... pirates are not the good guys.. we should already know that by now after seeing what alvida, buggy and kuro did or tried to do to people
and i am sure my grandpa would not send me 20 bucks in the mail if i told him that i want to become a criminal, because that's what pirates are...
one could even argue that luffy isnt even a pirat but just a sailor.. the definition of what a pirate is, is very clear in my opinion and luffy does not fit that definition.. plundering and attacking other ships and sometimes even towns is very much part of the job description of a pirate and since luffy is doing none of these things he is basically just a sailor and adventurer...

Mihawk didn't show mercy exactly he gave Zoro a wound that not just any normal man can survive. If he dies then he wasn't we worthy for them to meet again but if he does then they'll fight again when Zoro improves.

This is the worst series in the world, it has no connection at all, and it lacks a lot of important details that they never used. As for the real One Piece, the anime One Piece is just the best, nothing else, and the talk is over.
