    Weiser Deadbolts are one of the most popular deadbolts in Canada to rekey and open. This is not the "Smart Lock" version but the "pin tumbler" version. Also, many lock manufacturers sell locks with the Weiser (W1, WR3, etc.) keyway. The Weiser deadbolt is extremely easy to pick open and a good lock for the beginner locksmith or lock picker to practice their lock picking techniques. Kwikset (KW1 keyway) and Schlage (SC1 keyway) Videos on the Kwikset and Schlage and Smart Locks coming soon.

    I’m actually grateful my houses’ lock was so easy to open with a credit card. My brother accidentally locked us out once while our parents were away (i dont have a key and he locked the garage which is where we go in from after leaving front door locked) so after an hour of lowkey panicking and trying to get in through my closed window on the second floor i looked up how to lockpick and found you could easily do it with a credit card. Thank god!

    Further proof that locks can hear and understand words. Mr. Locksmith picks the lock for a few seconds while talking. At 6:27 he says, "I'd give it five minutes or so and I'd just drill it." The lock HEARD him, because at 6:30, there it goes. It rolls over and cries, "PLEASE don't drill me, Mr. Locksmith! I'll be good, I swear!"

    Weiser is not very popular where i am, people use mostly schlage or kwikset. However, when I across a weiser, whether it's the smart key or straight pin- tumbler type my kronos elecropick opens them right up... you just have to use lighter tension with the smart key versions

    You should have a SC 20 and a KW11 and a WR 5/6;JetBasically 6 pin and Schlage L 6 pin (SC 20 /A1145L) for your set.

    • @24hrMrLocksmith
      @24hrMrLocksmith  Před 5 lety

      The Schlage "L" unless it is a Schlage Factory original is too fragile for bumping. KW11 in all Kits or sent free to existing customers and a few extra SC1, KW1 and W1 bump keys.

    You bastard, lol. My house was built in 2010 and I have six doors with Wieser deadbolts. Since watching your videos I now see I should get rid of all of them! This will get expensive because I'd like to go with something like the Schlage sense deadbolts. Problem with that is so far I can't find them in the oil rubbed bronze to match the other hardware I have, next choice is the Nest keyless deadbolt. The nest is $360 × 6, well it's getting ridiculously expensive. What's your opinion on the Nest lock?

    Full honesty, I figured yeah it’s easy for a locksmith to pick but the average joe ain’t gonna be able to pick my lock. So I bought the cheapest kit off of wish. It arrived. This is the truth it took me longer to get into the packaging then to pick my wieser lock. I have never picked a lock before and I was in in seconds. I’m off to buy a new lock. Thanks for opening my eyes!!!

    What is the best locks possible and most secure, bump proof and possibly unreachable without drilling...?

  • @Johnyrocket70
    @Johnyrocket70 Před 5 lety

    I seen many locksmiths work and none of them picked any locks. All the locks were cheap locks that could of been raked or picked open, yet they drilled them all then over charged them for another cheap lock install. Picking locks should be a mandatory 1st stage.

    • @Rocketlockopener
      @Rocketlockopener Před 5 lety +1

      New smart key locks defeat the force tool by shearing off the face of the lock and not opening it. The best way to open and manage these locks is to use try out keys that will open 98%.easy to make keys open with no damage.

      I made up about 200 try-out keys that worked great on the first generation SmartLocks. My success rate kept falling with the newer generations, so the tryout keys don't get used anymore.

    New subscriber here. Very disappointed you are advising use of WD40. That should never be used on locks or any delicate complex mechanism. It gets gummy and thick when the solvents evaporate. You should know better. Lock lube for locks.!! Graphite, silicone spray or teflon dry lube. NEVER WD40

    • @24hrMrLocksmith
      @24hrMrLocksmith  Před 5 lety

      W. Apnj WD40 is a “penetrating oil” so not recommended for lubricating Locks. I prefer WD40 for picking locks. I have a few videos of what to use for lubricating Locks and WD40 I had not recommended. Use, TriFlow, Houdini, etc. but never graphite.

    • @24hrMrLocksmith
      @24hrMrLocksmith  Před 5 lety

      If the lock is sticking a won’t open with a key, yes use WD40! After you open the lock lubricate it with TriFlow, Houdini, etc. and never use graphic.

    • @WApnj
      @WApnj Před 5 lety

      Hi, your logic is flawed... Once you use WD40 the damage is done. Already contaminated the inner workings and will always gum up the works. It needs to be flushed out with a solvent before proper lubrication is used. . You said it yourself, it's a penetrating Oil. Remember that novices are watching your advice and will go around spraying WD40 into keyholes without realizing the sticky consequences.

    • @24hrMrLocksmith
      @24hrMrLocksmith  Před 5 lety

      W. Apnj WD40 and I disagree. It is a lock not exactly a finely tuned watch. Listen to the video in full and watch my other videos on Lock Lubricants.
