FULL BUILD | Rebuilding A DESTROYED Porsche 911 Turbo!

- The original owner took a $100,000 loss on this Porsche 911 Turbo build and now it's up to us to rebuild it! After shooting a rod through the block 300 miles after a 1000hp build we ended up buying this down on it's luck 997 for about $45k, which seems fair considering most of it had to ride back to shop in the truck bed..
Sit back and enjoy the journey from start to finish!

When are you going to show the doge demon car again we all are waiting for to see you finish it
Facts💯
As soon as it’s running, sorted and on the dyno! I don’t want to post another video until I have something good to show you guys
C’mon LEE we need the DEMON!
@@LeeCwe are all waiting for the demon!!
Check back bro
You should set the block/crank and rods into clear epoxy and turn it into a coffee table!!
Great Idea
That FIRST start up?!!! 🙌🏿💯😫🙆🏿♂️
WHAT???
OH MY GAAAHD!!!
That felt SO GOOD!❤
Poor Fernando can’t catch a break. Always a new project! Love these videos. 911s have become a favorite of mine recently
Excellent!!! After 40 years of personal experience, gained from the backyard repairs I struggled through, I have considered myself to be somewhat knowledgeable in auto mechanics. However, after watching your rebuild, I now realize that I am still in grade school. Just great!! Truly impressive!!! Props to you!!! Great Job!!! Great Reward!!!
Once you get a garage set up with a lift you will be just this good it's all about being away from the elements and having lift man once you get a lift you could do these CZcams videos
Sell it back to the guy you bought it from.
Considering the amount of things he undid from the previous owner, I doubt he'd want it back.
Good luck!!!! NO REFUND or EXCHANGES!!!!! Lmao
The original owner was very corect...you are very lucky with this amazing Top Turbo 911, and with all the original and rare& expensive parts...Top content, like usually, thanks!
Maybe think about stripping the crank case of everything - hinging the top and bottom - add a little Red Flag to it (potentially using one of the Rods as the flag post) then it becomes the coolest mailbox for the shop ever...
Is this the Best CZcams Build I've ever watched?
FELT SO GOOD! BEAUTIFUL! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
I don't know the first thing about restoring cars, i'm not a porsche guy nor have i ever owned one, and I don't plan to...but still watched this 1 and a half hour long video and loved it. Good work
I know the old owner. He got shafted hard by the dude/shop who built the engine but glad to see you rebuilding it and treating it right!!
How did he go in court suing the shop who did it?
Fricking Sunday night metal shaping CLINIC by Mike Bello. Dale shine, Mike!!! That’s how an old school pro does it kids.
thanks for the educational content! i know little about car mechanics but its very entertaining to watch you explain stuff.
and the video is incredibly well edited, especially for its length.
This is my favourite channel. It shows the fixing before and after. Love it!!
Road trip them to Monterey for car week this summer!
I just came across your vid on the 1988 911 CE. You indicated that there was a missing Carrera badge on the rear of the car. I don’t think it was missing. I inherited one of these cars from the original owner. She drove it off the lot and has maintained it perfectly ever since. The car only has 18k miles and looks like the day it was driven off the lot. Within the past 2 mos, another 88 CE sold for $147k on BAT. The buyer of the car that you highlighted on your show got a great deal.
You guys keep crushing it 💪 keep it up loving it
Shout for the Happy Gilmore cut!
Absolutely one of the best videos I’ve ever watched! Thanks so much for sharing and teaching!
What a beast. Love this car.
Give him the nutz Fernando! You heard the man! 😂
I'm psyched for the Macan GTS build. I actually drive one daily.
First time seeing the channel. Great video quality. Good details and flows well. Definitely subscribed 👍👍
Yo Fernando be doing everything showing u how to do it we know ur doing all Fernando 😂
I’ve have enjoyed every minute of this video great job.
Awesome episode 🎉🎉🎉!
Amazing build! What would it cost if you were adding in labor costs?
Those tires are amazing on that car. love it!
Another great vid and made me appreciate how much money is required to reach 1000hp and how quickly it can all go up in smoke. Thanks for sharing 👍
I love watching yo vlogs for sum reason I love watching ppl rebuild nice kool cars
I've seen cranks and other parts placed inside a clear glass coffee table. The top usually allows access to the parts and the ability to change things out.
Thanks for making my Sat night this was great!
Hi Lee. I already have a comment in because i saw this video before. I'm just watching it again lol. And I love the way you know all the parts and how good or bad they are. You stole this Car for that money. Lovely Yellow colour. Beautiful Car Lee. 👏👏😅😅🇨🇮
Tail of the Dragun a must, Leave it stock and drive it every day.
Lee. I'm sorry about the "brang" comment! You said "ran" ! My apology! It brought back memories from my childhood! I'm bad but laughing! LOL! I corrected my nephew on that one also!
Sad to see the 4G go back to stock, cause you were the only other good 4G racing content out here. Excited to see the j37a build on the Type S though🤙. Might as well sell the 4G, and get the TLX Type S 🤷♂️ haha.
“I just closed my eyes and it splattered all over my face”
After watching this starting to rethink my choice of buying a new Porsche
looovee this series, so cool
Kinda feel like the coolant reservoir is gonna cause a problem. Its not even needed on this because the radiator fill is the highest point of the cooling system. With the reservoir being lower than the radiator fill it would be overflowing before the radiator was even topped off.
"No Intercooler Pipes.
No Fuel.
No Problem."
When are the shirts dropping? 🤣🔥👀👀👀
How much of a cut do you need 😂
@@LeeC Any! 😂💯🤷🏾
Turn the engine case into a bar b que, just needs a grill on top, and a cleaning internally, for quality cooking conditions.
dude no way i knew the previous owner of this car! what a NIGHTMARE he went through with that thing
The only thing I'd have done differently was kept the color matched intake piping. That splash of yellow would really pop the stock bay. But I get trying to reduce the overall cost.
The old engine could be turned into a coffee table, with a clear top, similar to the V8 on Top Gear?
If the original owner is looking in... Kudos to you, you loved that car. Sorry how it eventually treated you and that you had to let it go. Hope you go onto better things.
Literally watched the whole video no skip for a whole hour and half 😂
Amazing work 🎉👌🏻💯
Lee. What is the word "brang" It brought you this much? Dude I am screwing with you! Great video! I had a problem with that word when I was a kid! I have not heard that word since? As you know it is "it brought you" It brings back good childhood memories! LOL! That is one of the words I had problems with as a child! Mazageens was another one! " Magazines" LOL!
Bro has Napa Auto parts in his garage!
Looks so good and sounds really good as well.
Color matching sticky notes😂
Been a follower for a while loved the content keep up the great work😀
Great work, beautiful car!
Fun and stressful to watch thank you .
I love long winded videos ❤
Me encanta 😍 saludos cordiales desde Venezuela 🇻🇪
Fernando rules
That dude bent the turbo or something with the jack at 51:15
I’m the scrapelife we trust😈
Yall some bad mofos.....love yalls work
You should send the damaged parts to Christopher Michaels to create some sort of art piece for the channel/shop.
This Turbo911, reminds me about the legendary car Yellow Bird by Ruf...
I’d drive that thing like crazy!
I want DA BIG ONE 😂
Stunning litttle car 👌🏽
Almost there with saving up to buy me one!
I'm surprised that this 1000HP engine had crappy H beam rods. They should have used I beams.
After researching what people typically use for rods in these engines I was surprised to see that most people use h beam rods. Most of the aftermarket options are h beam rods. Pauter makes I beam rods though which is what I want to use
Man I'd pack my shit up and move for job like this
same here man, Maine is a good state to live in to.
He’s in Maryland lol
Hi just a simple question- Why do you not clean the engine and transmission ( exterior) and make it SPOTLESS before reinstalling, in fact I would clean EVERYTHING before reinstalling
Upgraded turbos and headers!! LoL
Hey Lee awesome series supa outcome
Excelente 🎉
Porsches tend to hate having their sunroofs removed. They’re like a kid with a bad haircut - they tend to act up until it grows out. The purple one will never run right until you put the sunroof back in. 😂
I'm more into Harley builds myself now. But maybe we can share some knowledge w eachother and find new interests!
What a great car
I want to see More Porsche content please , how's that Gt4 ?
I want the big one… lol that seemed awkward 🤦♂️ lol
😏
Please get a green one and name it Gumby 🤣
If you can let me know when it’s up for sale 👍. Nice work 👍❤️
It’s for sale now, give Alex a shout alex@leecparts.com
omg bird poop on the bumper!
TURN THAT INTO A WALL SCONCE!
I like this car so much more now
I want the big one.
Next time code rear C.U. For a fixed spoiler
Awesome car, have you ever put a k24A in a 911?
19:24 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
I’ve been looking at these again since I sold my last, it is difficult to find one at a good price with decent history.
1.37.17, the money shot
How’s the demon video coming along
Can nyou use the crank case in a vw or audi upgrade?
Fernando is funny. He needs more air time.
Nice
Take it over to Germany and do the nurburgring nordschleife 😁 anybody else think this is the best idea?
Where u guys at in Maryland? I live in Hagerstown and would fn love love love to come see yalls shop! I'm only just discovering your channel and I really dig what yall are doing! My name is trav if u couldn't tell from the screen name. If u comment and I don't get the notification I'll die.lol my brother would love to see you guys work as well even though he never said so. He has a small business working on cars and he's always had some cars he's building up just usually a Honda 4him. Me myself love Porsches and have never gotten to actually look at 1 up close! Dreams could come true with 1visit to u guys though I know it. Not to mention I can tell by your personality that we would get along great!lol
I say put it together and upgrade it because that is what people want, really! If you are young enough, go for it! Me, I do not have enough time left! ;)
What camera do you use, and what micrphone its great qualtiy and audio!
Man. Sucks something was dropped on that rear bumper. Nasty paint gouge.
Quick question guys : was the car running on E85 ? I'm running my Cayenne S 4,5 on E85, but never dared swith to E85 on my 997.1 CS 2
I'm really wondering why you don't just repair the crank and block. I have seen engine cracks that broke in half get repaired and put back into service. It sounds to me that you would rather have the story and the wall art. Just get it fixed.
