    I enjoy the fact that you’re not afraid to make a video as long as it takes to cover your topic. I LOVE not having to hunt for another video every 20 min. Enjoy your content. Can’t wait for the HAED video. I have the pattern, storage, most of the drills (using mostly spares, ordered and received 2 high quantities) and my blank canvas is on it’s way. I chose “Sanctuary of Knowledge” 160 x 120cm canvas. Treating this as a long term project. I always have a large canvas on the drafting table and a small one to work on outside while the dog enjoys the day. Thank you for your investment of time and money into your channel. Blessings.

      Thank you for the nice comments, DKL. (Cute dog in your profile pic, by the way!) Thanks for the feedback on the length of the video... Good to know. I looked at that image! Wow! Wow! That's VERY detailed. Diamond painting is very relaxing. But, diamond painting a library WHILE diamond painting? You are taking it to the NEXT level, for sure! That's amazing! And, it's BIG size. But, you'll need the size to get the resolution for the image to come out good. So, great choice! I think THAT size IS a long term project, no matter what approach you take to speed things up a bit! Have fun with it. I want to DEFINITELY see it when you finish it! 😃

    Awesome video! I really loved the washi challenge. I am rather obsessed with Simply Gilded. I knew it would be in the top 2 at least. I actually collect Irene’s washi since the beginning. I have every single roll! My collection is my pride and joy because I have been a planner chick since I was 10 years old. Washi tape and all things pen and paper will always be my first love. Finding uses for washi in diamond painting has been beyond fun.

      Hi Jess! Glad you enjoyed the challenge! I get the Simply Gilded obsession, definitely. It is BEAUTIFUL washi, for sure! Wow, you are a collector! Curious.... So, if you have every roll does that mean you won't use them now because it would make your collection incomplete if you used up an entire roll? I really admire people that get deep into planner development. I, at one time, was REALLY big into Steven Covey's planner system and I would obsessively schedule every day out. But, I didn't add anything pretty to it, like washi. I was just "functionally" planning out my schedule. These days, my schedule is a bit more relaxed since I work independently and I just schedule my workload in Excel for detailed action plan development and on my Outlook calendar. Keep watching my channel.. I have a couple of washi de-stashes to still show and another Simply Gilded haul JUST waiting to be opened! Fun stuff! Thanks for commenting. 💜

      Hey Norma Jean! I'm so glad to hear you are going to give it a try! I LOVE using it to section my diamond paintings out. It just makes it that much more fun to be able to get 12 to15 opportunities to feel a sense of accomplishment to get "one more section" done. One additional tip for you... When I am cutting the sides to lift up the plastic cover, I always cut down the middle of the washi. It's always nice to have a little washi supporting the edges of the plastic cover, both the piece that you are folding backward and the piece running up the sides because that way, you know you didn't accidentally leave a bit of plastic cover on the edge that you can't see... That can become frustrating when you go to place drills down and there's a small piece of plastic cover left on the edge and you can't see easily where it starts or ends to pick it off the canvas. After you try it, please be sure to comment again on my channel and let me know if you liked it or not. Thanks for your comment! 💜

    Hello Tammy! I really enjoyed your unboxings in this video. Bella Art De Nicole is one of the companies I have on my "must try" list for a rainy day, so it's always fun to see people unbox their products and try them out. Regarding the item that you thought was a tadpole, is it possible that it could've been from a ghost? It looked like when you set it down that rotating 90 degrees might've been more of a ghost rather than a tadpole, especially considering the theme of the box. 😁 I have yet to try Simply Guilded washi tape as I've been going through and using up my own stash. I inherited a lot from my mother's collection after she passed away (she was a paper crafter) and I found that a lot of it was cheap and had long ago lost its stick. Sadly, I discarded a bunch of washi that was no longer usable. I was at that stage where I needed to purge more items out of my stash, so it ended up being the right time for it, but I have to admit that I didn't want to let it go just because it had been my mom's. Thank you so much for the bone folder tip, by the way. I've used them to make envelopes and birthday cards in the past, and I think that extra pressure would help the washi adhere better. I hope you have a wonderful end to your week and an even better weekend!

      Hey Travis --- Oh yes, you MUST try Bella's trays. They are NICE. I am going to have to get the larger one soon. The small ones are pretty small. I will use definitely use them, but NOT when doing a lot of multi-placing, I think. I think the larger tray will be a great "all purpose" tray for sure though. So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I know that is hard. I lost my mom when I was 31 and it was really difficult to go through. I totally get it being hard to let go of things that were hers. I’m not surprised the DAC 3rd party Washi tape failed. The ones I’ve used kept lifting up. I’ve been using also dollar tree Washi but I really can’t say if it’s really good since I’ve been using it around the border to that cover that small bit of glue overlap. I’m assuming that the poured glue overlap is what is making it stick. I don’t remember which is DACvs Michael’s vs Dollar Tree (most of these I remember). But most of my DAC are still in the kit. The one DAC 3rd party I used on 2 painting and they weren’t really big paintings either (32x42 cm).

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem +1

      That DAC washi that I tested was awful... It barely stuck to the plastic cover sheet at all. I think that metallic washi doesn't usually stick as well, anyway. I haven't gotten a DAC washi that seemed to stick very much at all. And, yes, I think putting washi around the border has the advantage that it's covering a sticky surface already. Thanks for commenting. Have a great Sunday! 🙃

    The only washi tape that I've found that I really like to use is the glitter scotch washi. I jumped on the simply guided train from videos. Sadly, it still doesn't do as well as the glitter tape for me.

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem +1

      Hi Hartanna! I was VERY surprised the glitter scotch washi was the second to last in my "great washi challenge" test. It's the washi I like the best off Amazon too. I've used it a lot, myself. The only thing I don't like about it is that sometimes if you "overhandle" the canvas moving it around, I find it can come off the canvas some. I think that's because it's so thick and rigid though is why that happens sometimes. I thought about that after I completed the challenge. I think because the Scotch washi is so thick and heavy, it may have been at a bit of a disadvantage in the challenge because of the long tail of it I had running off the edge. It may have contributed to it weighing it down and making it come off easier. Although, all the other washi tapes had the same long tail, they were very thin and light weight, so that may have been to their advantage against the Scotch brand. Either way, I love the look of the scotch brand too. Thanks for the great feedback! 💜

    Great experiment 👍 I feel most washi is geared toward Journaling and not diamond painting. We need washi that is stickier and longer than Journaling washi. I also don't like the translucent washi. There are some good washi on Amazon you just need to read the descriptions carefully.

I also look at the pictures in the description to see if there is a picture of the side view to check out the thickness of it. Pictures also can show if the washi is translucent or not. Of course it is hard to resist a cute washi you really want. If I find a washi that is only 2m or 3m I'll order 2. The washi I like are the thicker almost vinyl feel. You would have thought I could have taken the hint that was ghost when ALL the other foam stickers were related to Halloween, huh? I am going to stick to my story that the purple glittery aspects threw me off from even thinking it was a ghost! So funny! Thanks for making me laugh. And, if I do a Wip N Chat in the near future, you can bet, I am going to have fun with that one! Have a great evening! 💜💜
