    I think it definitely was your mom in those first three stories. I also think you are especially “sensitive” as they say some people are that pick up on things that others don’t. I definitely don’t think any of these things were coincidences. Your mom definitely was protecting you and, because she was such a giving person, she wanted to also protect your friend. Such interesting stories. I loved the wip and chat. Thank you for sharing.

      Hey Lisa! That's an interesting perspective that maybe it was my Mom protecting my friend. My friend, Kim, and I always thought maybe it was her Grandma since she had died just about 6 weeks before the event occurred. But, who knows... Anything could be possible, I guess. You have to throw logic out the window a bit sometimes, I think. Thanks for commenting! 💜

I do have a really hard time with believing the dream I had about my friend could have ever been coincidental because of the detail of it and the timing. Hi Linda! Thanks for the great comments. Yes, I very much, want to believe that. Thanks for sharing that you had things happen like that too when your mother passed. Sorry for your loss. I just wonder how common it is for people to experience unexplainable things like that after a loved one dies. That would be such an interesting thing to know. I'm sure there are a lot of people that have felt something like that has happened but they are too afraid to share it because they think they will be judged by others or thought of as crazy. I kinda wish I wasn't alone in my basement right now...! These kind of stories freek me out! OMG. I've had a couple of events also happening in my life. My mom passed away in 2000, and since then, I occasionnally have strange and inexplicable things happening. Too many of them to think they are just coincidence. I am a scientific and it always question me when things happen that I cannot explain, but I think there is more to it. We, as humans, believe what we see, but what if the invisible and untouchable were not just the fruit of our imagination? ...And I have to tell you that I was touched seing you so moved talking about your mother. I'm sending you a big hug.

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem +1

      Sorry Annie... Didn't mean to "freak you out" while you were alone. Thanks for the virtual hug. 🤗 Sorry for the loss of your mom, as well. Even though it's been over 20 years for both of us, I am sure, like me, there are moments when you can feel her loss like it "just happened" all over again. But, with time, for me, the intense pain from the loss has lessoned and it can only "take over" for fleeting moments now like I had when I was telling those stories. It's a loss you never truly get over though, I'm sure you know that. You just have to learn to accept and live with it. I'm really big into scuba diving and I spend a lot of time underwater when I go on vacation. I LOVE to watch nature in action. Although I have a very scientific mind too, it amazes me what I see in nature... Makes you think it can't all be "coincidence" or even evolution... There's got to be things we just don't YET understand, as humans. At least, that's what I hope. Have a great week! 💜💜

      @@annielebeau8900 Oh my gosh, Annie! I think you were MEANT to hear that WIP N Chat. Even though it will be 23 years for me, this year, since my Mom's passing, the anniversary time can still be hard, some years more than others depending what is going on in my life at that time. I'm sure it's the same for you. My mom passed away 6 days before Thanksgiving in 1999. She LOVED Thanksgiving. And, in the days leading up to her death, she talked a lot about what we were all going to make for Thanksgiving that year. She had ideas of what each of us should make. So, sometimes Thanksgiving can be REALLY hard, especially when preparing the food because she loved to cook and she really wanted to make it to Thanksgiving that year. We should have just went ahead and had Thanksgiving early that year for her. But, hindsight is always 20-20, you know. I hope you're doing better now that you made it past the anniversary day. Take Care. 💜 💜 💜

    When we sleep we are in the closest state of consciousness to the spirit state, it’s when our loved ones can enter our dreams it’s when the veil between our dimension and the after life is the thinnest. It is very likely that you were being shown the future so you could warn her.

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem

      Wow! That's insane to think about! I'm almost glad that I have the repeating night terrors instead of normal dreams, even though they can be terrifying. After having something in my dreams play out in real life, it would freak me out every time I would dream about something happening, if I had normal dreams. I think I would be obsessed with wondering what each dream meant and whether I needed to do something to help or prevent something from happening. When my father passed away in 2006. He had a big grandfather clock that he liked a lot and I remember when I was young he would always wind the clock late on Sunday nights after I was already in bed by raising the weights that were on chains. I really didn't like that clock because it was outside of my bedroom and I found the tick-tick-tick of the pendulum to be quite annoying to me, especially when I couldn't get to sleep. But, he loved the clock, so I never said anything about it. After he passed, I got that clock and moved it to my house and put it in my garage for temporary storage. When that clock ran, it would do the traditional hourly dinging. One bell for each hour of the day. So, at 6am for example, it would ding 6 times. A few days after that clock was in my garage, late one night it started dinging.. It wasn't even running before that. So, I went out in the garage. The hands were moving around fast and as it passed each hour it would ding for each hour as normal. But, very fast. It ran like that for maybe 20 minutes. I'm guessing that moving the clock caused a problem and that the weights released or something... Don't know for sure... But, it freaked me out either way because of the door bell incident that happened 6 years before that. I couldn't help but thing that maybe my Dad was trying to warn me of something... But, I had no idea what that would be. But, I did call my sister and brother and told them about it. And, we all agreed that we should be extra careful for the next few days "just in case". Well... None of us had anything concerning that happened. But, after something you can't explain happens, it definitely raises your awareness to other possible "signs".... But, like I said, I haven't had any weird things happen for 10 years now... Thanks for your comments. 💕

      Those pens that your husband made are gorgeous!! I have a ton of different storage systems and the Elizabeth Ward trays are still my favorite. I have 7 trays and tons of the tiny, small, medium and large containers. Like you said, it’s so versatile and especially works great for large diamond paintings. I don’t have a problem opening these at all with my fingers. I have a few of the Harbor Freight containers and I don’t like them so they’re sitting here collecting dust.

      @@LisasColoringCorner Thanks, Lisa. I am especially loving the green one he made. I've been diamond painting away with it since Saturday night. He bought some more pen blanks and I CANNOT wait until he makes me the pens out of them! One has cherry pits in it and it LOOKS so cool! You're a girl after my own heart with your tray choices... I love the Elizabeth Ward trays. I have 4 sets and I bought some of the extra containers too so that I would always have whatever combo I need. Beside how functional they are though, I think my absolute favorite thing about them is how beautiful really pretty diamonds look laying in them. You can see the colors so well in those containers. Just adds to the diamond painting experience, especially when there are brightly colored ABs. Yea.. the Harbor Freight containers are great for starting out. But, they become annoying quickly with the way they sit in the container and how the diamonds get stuck on the back lip and you have to remember each time to open up the containers over your drill tray or otherwise, you'll be picking up diamonds every time. Those stories were definitely intriguing. I personally don’t know what to believe. I have never had any experiences myself, but my mom has had several and is a very strong believer in angels, ghosts, and demons. As for your husband making those pens, something you might want to do is have him create just a couple that you can give away at an event or at a mile stone, like 1000 subscribers. Or perhaps find a charity you believe in strongly and auction them off. Just an idea

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines

      Hey Dragonlove! Yes, it's very confusing to me to have experienced something I can't explain.... The things with my Mom could entirely be coincidental. But, REALLY odd... But, I really can't figure out the thing with my friend, Kim. It just seems so "beyond" anything I can put any logic to it to make it explainable. And, in spite of having had these things that I cannot explain, it definitely doesn't mean I "believe"... But, I DEFINITELY wish I could just put my faith in it and say "Yes... I believe"... I am a little jealous of people that have such strong convictions in their faith. Sure would have made my grieving process for my Mom go easier, I think. You are reading my mind on the pens... I definitely am going to do some type of giveaway with them eventually around the channel. Thanks for your thoughts! 💜

    When I was young, I would have a funny feeling that my sister shouldn't go out for some reason and she would listen and the next day we would look at the news and found out something happened at the place she was about to go to the evening before...
    I have a question also... Have you ever started on a diamond painting and half way though found out you didn't have all of one color or you got two of the colors mixed up because they looked to much alike, if so,what did you do? This just happened to me but I storaged the rest of my drills and started another diamond painting kits and throw the other away.

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem

      Hi Addines! Wow! Good thing your sister listened to your intuition on those things. That's crazy! If you're missing a color, you could try contacting the vendor to see if they will send you the missing color. If you bought the kit from a company that licenses their diamond paintings, I would say you will VERY likely get them to easily send you the missing color. If you got two colors mixed up and they looked a lot alike, I guess it depends on a couple of things... 1) If the colors are THAT close and you can't really tell that it's negatively affecting the image enough to be noticeable and you've placed a ton of the color, I would probably try to proceed forward, assuming you have enough drills to do that. 2) But, if it's really noticeable that it's going to negatively affect the image, I would definitely say pull off the drills and fix the problem. Now, if you do pull off the drills, be sure to not put them back in the same container as the original drills because they will have some residual adhesive on them and they will likely stick together some and be hard to shake in a tray to get them flat again. Just keep them separate. I know it's a PAIN to pull drills off a canvas. It's my least favorite thing to do in diamond painting... But, if you've completed a lot of the design already, just grin and bear it unless it's a HUGE # of drills. You can fix it. It just takes time. You'll be glad you did if you are way into the design and it's not that many drills. I've never aborted a design in the middle of it. But, it really depends on how important the design is to you, how much you paid for it and how long it will take to take the drills off. I guess in the end, it's a very personal decision really. I've always fixed the issue. In the 2 years I have been diamond painting, I've only had to spend maybe a total of maybe 1 to 1 1/2 hours pulling drills off to fix issues, across about 3 different times I had misplaced them because the symbols were the same, but just sideways or something... Very frustrating when it happens, I know. Don't know if that helps or not... 🙃

      I got my diamond painting kits on Amazon. Do they sale the kits for different companies like belle there also. If so, how can I get to them. And do u have web site you get your diamond painting kits from? Sorry about asking so many questions

    • @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines
      @DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines  Před rokem

      @@AddinesW No problem on the questions... We are all here to help out new diamond painters... After all...We were all new at one time... My response is going to be a bit long, but
      here’s how I look at diamond paintings and the value of them… Amazon is a GREAT place to start. Most people buy their first diamond paintings off Amazon. And, they are FUN to do. Most people that really get into the hobby soon realize that there are other options out there to purchase diamond paintings. And, some companies DEFINITELY have much better quality than others. That’s a given. In diamond painting, you get what you pay for. So, if you’re asking because you are looking for better quality kits, I can definitely point you in the right direction…. Better quality kits cost a little more per kit. But, let me help you crunch some numbers by an example that can help you evaluate what is a GOOD buy in diamond painting kits. When I bought my very first kit off Amazon, it was Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. It was advertised as a 50cmx40cm kit. I paid $16 for it. When I got it though, the area you actually diamond paint was 43cmx32cm. That’s VERY common when you buy off Amazon. They often advertise them by the canvas size, not the drill field size. So, if you do the math, that’s a total of 1376 square cm for the canvas I purchased in drill area. So, I paid $1.16 per 100 square cm of product. The quality of the canvas and the drills was not very good. It was a round drill painting. Some of the drills were smaller than others. So, it was a little frustrating to work with. But, I was so excited about just doing one, I overlooked that quality issue. The canvas was a bit crumpled up and the threads frayed. Again, I overlooked it because I was so excited to just be doing a diamond painting. And, the size of diamond painting wasn’t really very good for the artwork. It probably should have been a larger canvas to get reasonable quality of image. But, for your first couple of diamond paintings, you usually overlook those things too. But, once you see others doing a really quality diamond painting that looks great and you start to realize that you’re putting a LOT of time and effort into doing these diamond paintings, you start to really value the quality of the results.
      So, if that’s what you’re looking for… Here is what I would suggest... Try buying a kit from either Diamond Art Club (www.diamondartclub.com) or Craftibly (www.craftibly.com). Those are two VERY reputable companies that have high quality canvases, drills and images. You can’t hardly go wrong with any kit on their sites. For a low cost example, I am doing “I Am Brave” off Diamond Art Club right now which is a 51cmx61cm painting… It is on sale for $27 right now. (It’s a square drill painting, which is what I prefer, but some people only like to do round drill paintings.) So, it’s a total of 3111 square cm. So, while it cost me more than the $16 canvas I described above that I got off Amazon, the cost per 100 cm is actually only 86 cents per 100 cm. So, the cost is quite a bit lower per hour of fun! And, it’s an EXCELLENT canvas, drills and image. So, you have to take into account the “value” you are getting, not just the cost. For Diamond Art Club, you can use the discount code of “KATIE20” for 20% off your first purchase. And, for Craftibly, you can use the code “SHAY20” to get 20% off your first purchase. And, an added bonus is that when you buy from companies like Diamond Art Club and Craftibly they license the artwork from the artist. And, the artist is being paid for the use of their artwork, which is only fair. Oftentimes, on Amazon, their artwork in diamond painting for is not licensed. The companies there are "in effect" stealing the artwork from the artist because they are not compensating the artist for it. Also, Black Friday sales will be coming up at the end of November. And, the diamond painting companies will be running lots of sales. So, watch out for those too... Hope this has helped. If you buy something, be sure to let me know. I would be interested to hear what you got! 💜💜💜

    I think it was your mom and your friends grandma. Your mom was still trying to help people through you and because of where they were going it showed you your mom was there with you.
    My Granny passed a month after my 15th birthday, on her wedding anniversary Feb 26, and when I was visiting her in the hospital before she passed, she had been in a coma since the previous September, well, when I was visiting her she was still in her coma, but she grabbed my hand, pointed at the door and told me to go, eyes still closed but she told me to go, so I walked out and not 30 seconds after I was out the door she started seizing. That was the last day I visited her before we got a call the next night at 2am that she had passed.
    Fast forward to around my 20th birthday, I had moved out and had my first apartment. It was maybe a week or 2 around my 20th birthday and I had a dream about her. She looked healthy, she was in her wedding dress and she looked so happy. She told me everything was ok. She was ok and she was happy. A month later I found out I was pregnant with my now oldest son. When the doctor asked you know the normal early pregnancy questions I was told my conception was about 4 days before my 20th birthday. I was TERRIFIED but I think she was telling me I was ok and everything was going to be ok. I remember that dream like it was yesterday. And when I woke up I swear I had seen her at the end of my bed looking exactly as she had in my dream but it was like she was fading away.

      Oh my gosh... The story of your Granny grabbing your hand gave me really strong chills all over. Oh my gosh! Your dream about seeing her in her wedding dress is amazing! I bet that brought you great comfort. Wow! Now, I have to ask... Had you ever seen what her wedding dress looked like from pictures? And, if so, was it the same dress? Or, do you not remember enough of that kind of detail from your dream? Just curious.... My brother swears that my mom sat at the end of his bed one night. He said he didn't see her, but he saw the bed dip down and he "felt" her presence. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Makes me feel "not crazy" to hear others have had things like that happen too. 👼

      @@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines I had chills through all 3 of your stories!! I truly believe that was your mom protecting your son, helping those people through you, and your friends grandma. I think sometimes our friends family may come to the friends in a time of need, because they know their family member may need to hear something from someone else that may not know a whole situation but still be close to that person. If that makes sense.
      I had actually never seen her dress until after my dream and I asked my mom. And it was definitely the same dress.

      @@T1Diamondbetic It is such a nice thought to think that our loved ones are watching out for us at times. That's comforting to think of as a possibility. And, oh my gosh! I am officially freaked out that you NEVER saw the wedding dress before and you were able to confirm that the dress you saw her wearing in your dream was actually HER dress! I'm getting chills ALL OVER from that! Wow! 🙃

      @@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines I know. That’s what truly convinced me it wasn’t just a dream. Someone told me once that our minds are more open while we are asleep and it’s easier for a spirit to contact us in our dreams than while we are awake. What’s funny is my oldest son, would always point to the mantle above my mom’s fireplace and talk to “someone” and refused to call my mom Granny. He calls her Gege (not Gigi) and would tell her your not Granny, she’s Granny, and would point to the mantel. Her picture was not up there. And we saw a medium, and she looked at me while I was pregnant and told me I knew who his guardian Angel was and she would always be there for him.

    Seriously though, your husband did a fantastic job. Those pens are beautiful.

      Ahhhh! That's sweet! Thanks for the comment. I showed him your comment and he got a kick out of it. He's toying with opening an Etsy shop because he's been making some really cool wooden and silver rings that he enjoys making. Not so much to make money, but to fund the hobby, which I think is a good way to look at it. He said the diamond painting pens are fun too because he likes the way the acrylic shavings make really long strings that look like fluffy paper when he turns them. So, he might decide that he wants to do those too eventually. Who knows... I've been diamond painting with his pens today so I am definitely coming up with new ideas for him to make more for ME! He doesn't know yet that he's opened Pandora's Box with making me some of them. I'm feeling like Gollum out of "Lord of the Rings" about the green one... "My Precious!" 🙃

Some green and pink with a little rose gold mixed in 😘❤️🤣

      Hi Kelly. So, sorry to hear about your recent losses. I lost my mom when I was 31 and my dad when I was 37 and that was very hard, of course. But, I can't imagine losing a parent AND your husband that close together. You know, when you lose someone they are so "foremost" in your mind for quite a while. I've always wondered if having a recent lose makes you just so hyper-aware and looking/hoping for some signs that they are really still "with" us that we try to put things together that are just coincidences. But, I really don't think what happened with my friend, Kim, could have been a coincidence. I know "deep down" that it had to be something more than that. It was "beyond" what I can accept as a coincidence. But, the logic side of me has a REALLY hard time coming to terms with what that all really might mean too... Makes you feel a little "nuts" at times. But, it is what it is. I know these things happened. And, I WANT to BELIEVE. It's very comforting to think that our lost loved ones really can let us know that they are ok and watching over us. I REALLY hope that's the case! Thanks for your comment.
