[ Introduction ]
Hello Friends!
This video is part 1 of my Heaven and Earth Designs Series where I will be showing you EVERYTHING you need to know about converting a Heaven and Earth Designs cross stitch pattern to a diamond painting, from selecting the design, to purchasing the materials needed to complete the design and all the process steps for completing the project from beginning to end. I will be showing you the traditional conversion method using a blank canvas. And, I will be showing you a new process I developed that will allow you to complete HAED designs faster, easier and for a lower project cost than using a blank canvas. During this series, I will be starting and completing an actual HAED design as I show you each step in the process. So, please join me on this journey and let’s have some fun!
Hope you enjoy the video!

Love it - Love it - Love it - so proud of you Tammy. You've actually created thé HAED conversion Masterclass. Looking forward to the next episode. Big hug for you 👼
Oh Lisette! Coming from you, that means so much to me! With your faith in me and supporting me by promoting my channel and encouraging 50 of your subscribers to subscribe to my channel before I EVEN had the first video up was a HECK of an incentive to MAKE me finally put out that first video! Thank you again for helping "push" me out of the birds nest! I needed that push and I'm really enjoying getting to interact with the DP community through these videos. It is SOOO much fun! And, so rewarding! Thank you, my dearest friend! BIG BIG HUG back to you! 🤗🤗🤗 💜💜💜 (And, thanks for the angel emoji)... 🙃
😇looking forward to the rest of this series.
Hello Elaine! Glad you're enjoying the series! Thanks for the angel emoji 🙃

I have just found your site. Wonderful. I had seen the Heaven and Earth site, loved the paintings, looked at different parts and had no idea what anything meant. I am so excited to to have found your series. Thank you. Angel 👼

ANGEL - I've completed my first Crown canvas and loved it but am ready to go on the great journey of the 'blank canvas'! I didn't think I would enjoy/finish this video but I loved it - thanks!!!
Thank you for doing this series, your information is very helpful. I’m Catching up on your lives - I’m looking to do a head 2023/2024.😇
You are most welcome, Rochelle! If you're getting ready to do an HAED project, I think you'll really enjoy the series, hopefully! Thanks for the angel emoji! Have a great day!💕

Hi Maggie! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the angel emoji! Have a great day!💜
🧚♀👼 Such an informative video ! Thank you for passing on your knowledge. Off to Part 2 :D
Hey Be Creative! Glad you liked the video. Hope you watch part 3, especially to see my reveal of the new method! You'll have to let me know what you think of it! Thanks for the angel emoji! 💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines I did see it and I think it's awesome!! No more waiting on full rolls of double sided tape canvases. Keep up the inspiring ideas :)
@@LeighKan Yay! Glad you loved it too! I love it! They are SOO fun to do! If you try the method out be sure to let me know how it goes! Thanks for the feedback! 💜
Awesome video! Very helpful as I'm prepping a HAED project. Thanks!
Great! Glad you liked the video. Thanks for the comment! 💜
This video was so very helpful! I really enjoyed it and learned a lot! Can’t wait to see the rest of them! 👼
😇 What a wonderful resource you are developing. I’d like to try a HAED someday and I know where to go to figure it out. Thanks
Hi Vickie! Thanks for the nice compliment. Yes, please. Watch the series on HAED to understand it all. And, then when you're ready, if you decide to do a HAED someday, you'll know how to do it! Thanks! Have a great week! 💜
So so I had a light bulb moment while watching this. I've tried repeatedly to fall in love with cross stitch. A design that would be of comparable size to a diamond painting would be on sized for 11 count adda. Because that's 11 stitches per inch. Or eleven drills per inch, so a diamond painting would be a tiny bit smaller than its cross stich equivalent .
Interesting idea. Kool dive into HEAD
Hey Ann! Thanks for the comment. Glad you liked it. Have a great day! 💜
This video was FABULOUS! You are an 👼 😊. You presented this like a master class and I have a page of notes to prove it. Completing a HAED is at the top of my dp bucket list and now I feel prepared to avoid beginner mistakes and make an informed decision on my future purchase. I can’t wait to see the next installment of this series.
Ahhhh! Thank you "Mommy of 2 Muggles". Such nice comments. I am SOOO glad you enjoyed it! I thought I was the ONLY one taking pages of notes sometimes when I watch creators... That's funny. You ARE my soul sister in that aspect! Next video we'll be getting into the new method. So, stay tuned! And, thanks for the angel emoji! 💜
Very much enjoyed this episode of the series. Very informative and I do love many of their artists designs. When I first started I purchased one not understanding size but I did understand how much and how many drills I would need. Must have been angelic guidance. The canvas was humongous and I purchased the drills. At the time the drills were $125.00 approximately. I don’t remember the size but it is called “The Secret Door” I believe. Looking forward to more in the series. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Hi Bev! Glad you enjoyed the video! I looked at the HAEDs... Was it called maybe "After the Secret Door" by Babette Vandenberg, maybe? If so, that is HUMONGOUS! Beautiful artwork though... Could be worth it! Curious... How long have you had that DP and have you finished it yet? Thanks for the comments... And, thanks for sneaking in the "angel".... 🙃💞
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines It is the same artist but only now found it as “ mini secret door”. What drew me is a Nancy Drew book “ The Hidden Stair Case” . That’s what I thought of when I first got this about 2 1/2 years ago.
@UC%F0%9F%98%80%F0%9F%98%80H3GWIhsvKCztL73R_NApYQ That's GORGEOUS! Love that artwork. I used to love reading the Nancy Drew mysteries. So fun! 😀
I watched till the end. Thank you for sharing.😇
I am so excited to learn more about how to do a HAED. They have always scared me, but now I might be able to do one. You are an angel, thank you 👼
Thanks for the angel emoji, R.w.D.! 💕
I'm getting ready to level up on diamond painting. Your Heaven and Earth video was so helpful. I am definitely going to check out your other videos before purchasing my first big project.👼
Thanks for this video series. Not interested in doing any big HAED items for myself, but then you said something about Hannah Lynn being on there -- she is one of my favorite diamond painting artists! Might wind up with an HAED piece for myself one of these days!
😇 I made and I took so many notes. You’re the first person that explained HAED page and the conversion in a way I can understand it. Thank you and I look forward to your series and channel.
Ahhhhh, Keisha! You got me... I teared up when I read your comment. First time a subscriber's comment has hit me like that. I am SOOOOO glad you got so much out of the video. You are WHO I am doing this series for, girlfriend. People that wanted a more detailed explanation. Stay tuned! I have more to show you in the next videos! 💜 💜 💜
What a fabulous video, being able to do the HAED opens us up to so many more pieces of art work, I love that, can't wait for the next video in your series. 👼👼

Hi Again, Lonna! Ahhh... Thanks! You are too kind! 🙃
Thanks so much for taking the time to share all this detailed information. HAED page is very confusing, but becoming easier to understand thanks to you. Your an angel 😇 for taking the time. Can't wait for part 2.
Ahhh, Jennifer! That's so sweet! Thank you for the angel emoji! I'm always wondering if I'm the ONLY one making it to the end of the video! I know I am probably wearing some people out by then because I "drone on" sometimes ! 🙃 Have a great day! 💜
👼👼👼Thank you SO much for the fabulous information. I learned SO much and will continue to seek out the rest of your HAED series!!
I’m a many years cross stitcher and just started diamond painting a week ago. I am super excited to see the next parts of the series. 😇

Hi Carly! Glad you liked the HAED video! Thanks for your comment! Have a great day!💕
I'm not proficient with computers but would like to be able convert cross stitch to diamond art. I've only been diamond painting for 6mo. It is the best hobby . It seems complicated to transform patterns. Happy emoji.😘
Excellent video, WOW 😇
Love your profile name, "SparkleZlady"!... So glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the comment and the angel emoji! 💕
I agree with Mommy of 2 Muggles. This video was FABULOUS. I have been considering doing a HAED for a while now and your video has answered many of the questions I had. Really looking forward to the next in your series.👼
Hi Linda! Thanks so much for the great feedback and the angel emoji. Stay tuned... I can't wait for it either because it means I can start my HAED project I have waiting in the wings too! 💜
😇 I am new to diamond painting and have heard about HAED think that it is something I would like to try someday your information on the website was very informative.
Hello Isela! Welcome to the diamond painting community, newbie! You're in for a lot of fun. It's a WONDERFUL hobby and the diamond painters in the community are great to talk to. You're going to fall in LOVE with HAEDs after you do one. They are addictive! 💕
I'm not sure I'll ever do a HAED but i really enjoyed this video and looking forward to future videos! You must be an angel because you put a lot of work into this video!
Hi Lynn! Well... Maybe after you see my new HAED method that is easier to do , you might change your mind. 🙃 So, stay tuned! Thanks for the nice comments and the angel emoji! Have a great week! 💕
😇 I just watch your first CZcams and the rest of them. I really enjoy the heaven and earth part one now going watch part 2 and the rest of your channels. There alot of information that help alot also I'm new subscriber on your channel I can't wait watch your rest your channels .😇😇
Yay the first part is out! And boy oh boy did you deliver. So much information that I never realized went into the conversion. I am so excited for the rest of your series. However I do hope you still include a video here and there of boxing or post reviews of pieces you’re finished or possibly even wip and chats. 👼🏻
Hi Dragonlove! Absolutely! I have other content that I will be doing.... I still have a ton of stuff to unbox! And, there will be post reviews and wip n chats. It's just taking me some time to kick things off. It's a bit of work starting up a channel, learning all the new video'ing stuff, etc... It's all taking more time for me to do right because it's all new to me. And, I'm finding myself taking more notes to prep for videos. Later on, after it becomes "more natural" for me to be "on video", I'm sure I will get more relaxing and it will take me a lot less time to put out videos because they won't require as much prep. Thanks for the feedback. 😀
I have learned more from you in 1 hour than I have in 2 years. You answered questions that I have had about HAED. I can't wait to hear your new method. I'm not brave enough yet to attempt counting a chart. I've had my eye on mini caged ever since Lisette created her.
Hey Cheryl! Wow! Thanks for the great compliment! I really appreciate that feedback. The counting aspect of the normal HAED process drives me crazy for some reason. I just CAN'T do it! I had to find a different way of doing those HAEDs because I was dying to do some of those beautiful paintings. But, I just couldn't see myself enjoying counting out the drill positions, even with using Pattern Keeper. It just DIDN"T look like fun to me. And, I have way too many diamond paintings in my stash to spend that much time on one project! That Mini Caged DP is the bomb! I LOVED watching Lisette do that one. I LOVE the freckles across the bridge of the girl's nose. I think Lisette thought about taking out the freckles. I thought "NO", you can't do that! They are TOO cute! She is so funny! Have a great rest of your week! 💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines same to you
Love it. Great video. I am a newbie to diamond painting, looking forward to doing a heaven and earth design project. 👼
Just found you, the video was great and very informative. I going to watch the whole series.
WOW, just WOW! That is absolutely stunning!
Hi Francesca! Thank You! She's AMAZING, isn't she? I fell in love with her red hair instantly after I started diamond painting that part. It's my favorite DP I have done so far, for sure. Thanks for commenting! Have a great rest of your week! 💕

Hi April! Thanks for the feedback. That's really helpful for me to know. And, thanks for the angels! 💜
Thank you so much for this I've watched both you and @Kimba HAED videos and appreciated the information so much. I have been so nervous about ordering one of these, but this content makes me feel much more comfortable. New Sub
Hey Susie! Kimba is GREAT! I love her channel. Thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy the HAED series! 💜
Thanks for video. I learnt a lot, now to create a wish list
Great video, full of great and useful info
Love this!👼
😇 Looking forward to seeing your method. I’ve tossed around the idea of doing a HAED design, and I think having a good idea of what goes into it will be super helpful to me.
Hi Denise! Great to hear! You have arrived at the right time for this HAED series then. Thanks for the angel emoji! Have a great day! 😃
So happy I found ☺️ you cause I have two HAEd canvases JBG that I want to do in round I was just about to order the blank round canvasses but your channel popped up on my page and i am so happy cause now I will wait and see 👀 how you do the round one and what canvasses you used looking forward to the next class 😊 thank youuuuu
Hey Melissa! Great to hear you got some JBG's you want to do in round drills. First, I am putting up training on the square HAEDs. Then, I will do the round HAED training. So, it will be a few weeks before that goes up, maybe 4 weeks or so. Keep in mind, if you were going to try to do it on a blank white canvas, that background would show through and look kind of awkward. The solution I will show you will provide the correct color behind the drills. After you see the training on it, be sure to let me know what you think. Thanks for commenting. 💞
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines am patient its one of my projects for 2023 so i5s ok and I want to see everything ,am sooo excited 😊
Loving all of your content! I'm also a numbers person and love hearing you break everything down
Hi Hartanna! You're a girl after my own heart! I can't help but see numbers everywhere in diamond painting... Inches to CM, total square centimeters, drills per hour, etc... I love running the numbers in Excel when Diamond Art Club has a sale and figure out which diamond painting is the best "value" of all the ones I really want to buy! It's SOOOO nerdy, I know... But, I love to get a great diamond painting for a great price for the amount of time I know it will take me to complete it. I was talking to Lisette of Lisette Crafts and Tells one day and I said, "I like to figure out which ones are the better deal".... And, she said, "I just buy the one I like the most"... And, I said, "Well, I take that into account too, of course!"... It was so funny to see her cock her head sideways like a cocker spaniel because she just didn't get my thought process. She's so funny. We're really good friends. Have a great day, Hartanna! Glad you're enjoying the videos! More number crunching is ahead! So, keep watching! 🙃💜
You are an Angel!!! I have been interested in doing these HAED designs for a while but never knew where or how to start so i will be very interested in seeing what else you have to say about this hobby. Thank you so much! :)

😇 Thanks for the video. I knew all the information in this video and doing the HAED on a blank canvas as I have one so what I’m really interested in is your new method of working on one. Is it still working on a blank canvas? I can’t wait for the next video. Thank you for the very detailed video. I’m sure it’s going to help those who have never ordered a HAED pattern and all the steps involved.

I love how much detail you are going into with this so us newbies know what mistakes not to make! I can’t wait wait for the next episode 😉 in your series. Thank you for taking the time to do this! I want to do this with Josephine Wall’s merry go round painting but was too nervous to buy anything. I can’t wait for this series so I can finally purchase it. You are such an angel 👼🏻 for taking the time to do this.
So glad to hear you are enjoying the series, Coffee & Diamonds! That Merry Go Round DP is AMAZING! That will be SOO much fun! Is it as windy in Northern KY as it is here today? I was in a parking lot earlier and went to open my car door and got it about 4" open and the wind caught it and pulled it out of my hand and SLAMMED it into the car next to me. It was NOOOO fun going to find the owner to show him what happened. But, he was a REALLY nice guy about it. Great that I have good car insurance because it REALLY dented his car. Yikes! The wind is just absolutely WICKED here today! 😬😬😬
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines oh my goodness!!!! That is CRAZY!!!!! At least no one got hurt. Yes! It is just as windy. We didn’t go anywhere today but my husband was outside trying get collect the leaves and it was not working out in his favor lol.
@Coffee & Diamonds Yea... Not a good day to rake leaves. Lucky for us though. We live next to a lake and when we got home almost all our leaves were gone. Assuming they went into the lake. Oh darn! 😁

Hi There! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching the channel and subscribing! 😀
Good presentatoni
Great content. I'll have to watch a couple of times to get a better understanding (not you its me lo). It is on my list of Diamond Painting to do. Thanks. 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Hi Diamond Girl 4ever! I LOVE your profile name! Cute! Thanks for the comment and watching to the end. Love all the angel emoji's... Heaven and Earth... lol... 🙃
Thank you! 😇 I’m an avid cross stitcher and occasionally dip my toe into diamond painting. Currently I’m on a diamond painting kick 😂.
I have many HAED designs and started looking at my stash that consists of mini’s during this video and now I want to know more about making them into diamond paintings. I’m sure you will get to it, but where do you source drills from? I’ve only purchased diamond painting kits up to this point.
Hi Heidi! Be sure to watch the series part 2 & part 3 it shows you how you do a conversion the traditional way and then shows you a MUCH easier new method so you can convert them without having to count. There are several different places to source drills. I will have that info in a future video. Also, it's Cyber Monday and HAEDs are 50% off today! Not that I'm trying to enable you or anything! Thanks for the angel emoji! ❤
Thank you for this series. I won't ever buy a Haed design, but I'm very interested in learning all you have to teach as it's just plain interesting and I'll be able to enter in better when others buy and create. 😇
Hey there! Thanks for the angel emoji! Curious... If you don't mind my asking, why have you decided to never buy a HAED design?
I think it's the amount of work it involves. I used to cross stitch years ago, and I'm done with all the counting back and forth. But maybe your nee method will resolve it all.
@@llijable Yes... My new process takes out all the counting. So, stay tuned! An HAED design might be back on your future.
❤
👼👏
Thanks for the angel emoji, Anneke! 💜
Love this series! Your video was so helpful because I was definitely thinking of purchasing a HAED but did not know how or where to begin, so thank you for this! 😇❤️ I was looking for that first canvas and it seems they don’t have it anymore 😢
Hi Aracely! Glad you found the part 1 of the series helpful! Yes, VERY said that Dakota Daetwiler's artwork is no longer available on the HAED site. Diamond Art Club has some of her other artwork as DP kits, though. Thanks for the angel emoji! Be sure to watch part 3 of the series before you purchase a canvas. That part shows you an entirely new method to use that might affect how you want to approach the project. ❤
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines yes I actually have one of them but I saw the one in your video and I’m just mesmerized 🥰 it’s beautiful 🤩
@@aracelysoto8413 Thanks! It was REALLY fun to do using the new method I show you in part 3 of the series. I LOVE her flowing red hair!
Missing you, Tammy 👼
Great video Looking forward to the rest of the series. I tried to find the first canvas by Dakota Daetwiler however it looks like it's not available any more?
Hello! Thanks! Glad you liked the video. Sorry... I forgot to mention that in the video. Dakota had artwork on the HAED site in January. Then, after she licensed with Diamond Art Club a couple of months later, it was all pulled off the HAED site. Don't know if that was just a coincidence, or not. I love her work too... I couldn't find the "Dreaming of Being Human" artwork as a diamond painting kit or a pattern now. But, she does have a few other designs on DAC's site. If you are interested, here's a link to those: www.diamondartclub.com/pages/search-results-page?q=daetwiler
Thanks for the comment. Have a great day! 💕
👼💕
I am looking forward to watching this series. I would like to do a HAED at some point. I have watched some people doing them and seen some patterns I like. One of my concerns is once you purchase the pattern and you purchase patter keeper, how difficult is it to get the pattern onto the pattern keeper app?
Hey Karla! I have published part 2 & 3 now. So, you'll have to watch them and let me know what you think. It's not hard to get the pattern into pattern keeper at all. Part 2 of the series, shows you exactly how to do that. But, if you watch part 3, you'll see that with the new method I came up with, you don't even need to look at the pattern or pattern keeper. So, once you've watched part 3, let me know what you think. Have a great rest of your week!💜
