You speak decent portuguese , hard for most brits , youre the example for many , Parabens rapaz .
Speaking Portuguese is important to us as we have so many Portuguese friends.🙂
Throughly envious of your fluent Portuguese.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
You seem like good peeps. If I see ya around one day, beer's on me.
👍And the second is on us 🍻
Stay well. Greetings from Miami.
Thank you! You too!🙂
Nancy loves you Alex x
I think she does😍
Thank you for posting the Tireshop, will definitely go to Alcains next time i need my tire to be fixed.
Any time!
I thought it might be the valve. Good spot just in time.
ooh man, i put a new outer valve part in as was leaking air and thought that was it..... not much room when wheel is on the tractor so glad i took it off and found that leak👍🙂
Yup, job done. A better day tomorrow 👍. Alex, you have a great daughter. She is like your "right hand man". Molly is awesome 👌👏.
Inflation is all over the world, Alex.
Some grease around the rim where the bead sits against should help with any small leaks due to improper seating
Keep up the good work
Great show, 👍 thanks again folks. Looking forward to another trip once Europe opens up.
Our pleasure!.... I know mask restrictions are lifting thankfully .... bring back normality please🙏🙂

Good to have a good tyre shop you can rely on nothing worse than a flat tyre, goats goats everywhere they are looking great the goat that was sick looks better.
We are very lucky with so many good services around us,
Sadly today our goat did not look so good, i hope for good news for next video but it is touch and go right now 🙁
A had two times in 40 years there was a pinhead hole in the wheel rim and rust in the valve hole is another problem with bad painting at the wheel rims.
Great Video thanks for sharing. Love your beautiful farm 🚜
Obrigado!
nós agradecemos! abraco
Good to see the tyre situation sorted out. Love that little goat Nancy!
Us too! was driving me mad👍 Nancy is a cutie🙂
Everything ( prices ) are going up... last time I bought 3 litres of Fula cooking oil ( sunflower oil) 2 months ago the price was 5.5 euros today in the supermarket it costs 11 euros....
When will it ever end🙄🙂
somewhere over the rainbow there are tyres that will stay inflated .... what a good guy the tyre man is , good job guys !
I bloody hope so... He did the tires for free because we filmed it for him🙏🙂
Wow, how cool are they!
Hazel ☘️ …
Very worrying the animal feed and hay situation !
One thing for sure you have learned in your years on the farm is adaptability … at a moments notice you have to sit down and prioritise your priorities , very stressful indeed … you just motor on , what else can you do ?
☘️🙏😘
Yes the hay is a worry as it started running out 2 months ago it is getting tight now.
If you have to adapt every day brings now problems or challenges..... gotta keep going 🙏🙂
Awesome vid.
Every time you show us the nitty gritty of life as an expat in Portugal - the good times and the hard times. It reminds me of something I read in a Dick Francis story: The protagonist is an artist. At some point in the story someone asks "What does he paint?" and a character answers "Golf pictures" (technically correct), but then someone else says "No. He paints the indomitability of the human spirit."
You personify the indomitability of the human spirit.
I'd say "don't give up" but it's redundant, because you wont.
That is probably the best comment we have ever had!🙏
Somebody left us a comment the other day hinting i was negative, it made me chuckle... telling a story of many negative experiences does not make somebody negative.... if we were negative we would have left a long time ago and we would not be here now.
You can either lay down and except it or get back up and have another go.
And nope! we wont give up!
Thanks for seeing that
🙏👍🙂
Thank you so much for showing the goat you named Muffin 🥰
Not a problem, sorry it was only short, we will show her more next week.🙏🙂
🌟👍🍀💐
Thank you for videos beautiful family love your goats was wondering where you bought your property looks beautiful thank you
Search our farm name, Quinta Fonte da Pipa, in Google!🙂
This brings me back some memories . Between 18 and 22 years old ,this was job , fixing flat tires. Using exactly the same machine . The correct way to fix a puncture is with a patch inside the tire , like he did . Opening the hole from the outside and filling it ,it's the wrong way , it's going to break the wire mesh that is in the middle layer of the tire and soon or later the surface is no longer flat , looks like 'egg' shaped , and can blow up or causing damage to the wheel .
It had one of those sticky rubber worms in the old nail hole, when i tested it, it didn't leak... just glad to have them fixed and like you say properly done now... cheers Victor👍
👍🌹
I am sure I will make use of that tyre shop in the future, thanks for posting the business card in the video. First time I,ve commented on one of your videos I am slowly making my way through the back catalogue. I loved the lister start up and watching Molly leg it, I did the same when I was young and dad started up a similar stationery engine I legged it too. Best Wishes to you all. Stay safe. AL
😂😂 yeah they do sound like danger when they fire up when you don't know what's coming.
They are good guys at Sergio's
Impressive Portuguese n display by both of you - from someone who was shit scared and as you know rubbish with gears I love tractoring now - just remember to check my tires now
You could have called this a 'Series of unfortunate events'!
Hi, Cindy 👋🏼😊 I was just thinking of you... maybe next time you have tire needs to use Pneys Alcains as they're so thorough and seem to have great customer service. Idk if they fala inglès, but mbe Alex or Molly could help you by phoning in what service you need? Just a thought. 🤗
@@ruthconstantino6861 Sergio, I think he speaks a little English, i completely forgot to say😊
😆If it can go wrong, I'm ya man! 😂
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife Aww, Alex 😥 ... 🤗.
@@ruthconstantino6861 I use them already.
Obrigado pelo video.
Não é nada Zephir
When you said Ah, I laffed, that spitting sound did not match the amount of air still in the tire🤣, all the while it was a bucket drip, thats why it helps to have all 5 senses, glad to hear Nancy is on the mend, Molly sounds like me, always asking questions 😙😊 ups and downs of farm life eh, I LOVE that saying don't sweat the small stuff, but in reality the small stuff is what can turn ones peaceful start into a shambolic one, but you found the rainbow, happy week to you all on your Quinta🌈
Molly sounds like me as a young kid, my mum and dad would call me 'Why' always wanting to know how things worked, yep those little things can topple the big ones too but nothing that cant be fixed... there were two rainbows but as we filmed, the other one ran off😂
have a good week too 🙏🙂
Just discovered your program really good brilliant insight of what you do I liked it when you helped on the portugal project 😀 taught jasper a thing or two. Stay safe me old mucker 🍾
Thanks and welcome......... Have a good week, what's left of it👍
🙆🏻♀️Hurrah, you got your tires fixed! The tire repair fellow was very amiable and also quite thorough, yeah? Enjoyed your exchanges with one another. I'd certainly use Pneus Alcains if i ever get to visit out your way and have tire needs👍🏼.
Thanks for another cool road trip, i love these! This one didn't seem to be as long a trip as when you went to Jasper's place the last video. Did this route take you past any youtooby friends?
Haha, you know you're of a place when in you're in an entirely different town and a neighbor rolls past to tease you 😄.
What a vivid 🌈 ! Aww, Nancy🐐 just likes your flavor, papa Alex 💕. That feed looks very nuticious & delicious.
I do so love our drives into the city! Virtual Portugal !! I would enjoy a separate video of the drive in real time. : ) Best Wishes!
Thanks for the idea! Always happy to show Portugal to the world, where are watching from🙂

Cracked rim
I was beginning to think the same but no, the tire just needed sealing on the rim👍🙂
Slightly bent rim will cause a tire to go flat if there is no puncture....
I didn't translate it fully, but when i spoke to him i told him i drove it on a flat tire and thought i bent the rim, but there were no leaks this time under the water.
Did you get your dogs Back? Hope so.
Very sad to say... no we never did😪😪
I've always had inner tubes in all my trailer tyres with a inner sleeve between tube and tyre this stops punctures in 80% of the cases
That's a good idea! 👍
Prepare for food shortages, time for Prepping
What do you reckon of moving to Madeira to set up an organic garden , comparing to central Portugal , Que tal ? I am dutch .
Hi Madeira is a lovely place but i could not comment as i have not been there, central Portugal has an amazing micro climate for growing almost everything.👍🙂
Please, WD40 is only a cleaner, better use Caramba agaist rust.
WD40 is only good for a lubricant, i had mud on the threads, you are right no good for rust protection. In the UK old farmers would spray ploughs with diesel to stop them rusting when not in use, works very well as soaks in to the metal🙂
Never a dull minute on the farm. Do they use nitrogen to fill tires in Portugal? 🙂👍👍👍👍
Yes they do but i bit much for my tractor 😂
have you ever used tire sealant it stops smal leaks
Yes! and have no idea why i didn't think of it before, somebody else commented and it was then i remembered it.... good tip 👍🙂
Maan... i would really like to link you up with Mandy in Portugal...you know that expression misery loves company? Different problems same attitude!...I am seriously considering the notion that negativity attracts negativity...or positive people get dragged down? I'd love to know...because there is a common thread going on publicly here (thank you 2022 social media) ...and we cannot make anything better until we ask the hard questions?
Sorry you totally lost me there... different problems,, same attitude,,, Mandy,,,
Olá, estou procurando trabalho na fazenda, no agricultor, na limpeza ou na pesca marítima. Você pode me ajudar por favor, obrigado.
Hi, sorry i do not know of any jobs in this area... good luck👍
història chata de pneus vazios,abraço.
Life is not always exciting sometimes it's boring but it is true
A little Carlos i know but was a bad week of rain so not much going on and hope it will help Sergio gain some clients............ Got to spread that love around buddy🙂
Not to criticize but the words of your channel are Portuguese words....so I don't feel they should be said in English. People interested in anything in Portugal should really learn how to pronounce words correctly in Portuguese. (One of my pet peeves, people with huge followings pronouncing all the words incorrectly including place names. The pronounce it incorrectly and everyone who follows them learns to say everything incorrectly. If one represents a regional area, they ought to at least be able to say common words correctly like Quinta.) So my comment is to not say the channel name in English since they are actually Portuguese words.
Nearly all our intros are said in Portuguese and English...... The name of our farm is '
'Quinta Fonte da Pipa'... the same in both English and Portuguese.
For example, when we all say the word 'Renault' we dont all say it with a French accent even thought it is a French name.
