  • City Forever: Bell, Lee, Summerbee, a new City Studios documentary celebrating the Club’s new permanent tribute to City legends Colin Bell, Francis Lee, and Mike Summerbee is now available to watch on our website, app and official CZcams channel.
For several months, our cameras have been following the progress of a project that honours the enormous contribution of an iconic trio who hold a special place in City’s history.
On Tuesday, November 28, the result of more than two years of planning, hard work and organising finally saw the light of day when the statue was unveiled at the Etihad.
Now our new City Studios feature goes behind the scenes to tell the entire story of the statue which celebrates three of the Club’s greatest-ever players, from inception to completion.
'City Forever' is not only the story behind the Bell, Lee and Summerbee statue, but it's also the story of the players, their teammates, their families and their lives as well as how the bronze masterpiece was created.
While free to air on our website, app and official CZcams channel, CITY+ subscribers have exclusive access to an extended edition of City Forever: Bell, Lee, Summerbee, featuring exclusive rare, unseen footage and makes for essential viewing.

Genuinely one of the best productions you have made to date. Emotive, informative & a must-watch for City fans old, young & new.

Oh my, brought me to tears several times the greats of my era growing up ,and now we’ve captured it all again with our present players

  • @robfielding100

That team played like Brazil. I was so lucky to watch them in their prime.

One of my favourite City moments was meeting Colin Bell when we played Hamburg at home in the Uefa Cup Quarterfinal. He signed the inflatable bananas my wife and I had with us and spend a few minutes talking to us.

  • @markmcfc1062

So glad that Francis got to see its progress

  • @stevefairclough7036

Sitting here in tears watching this, all over a statue. But the truth is it’s about so much more... our heroes, our club, our history, our triumphs, our emotions, our love for City, our thanks for Colin, Francis and Mike.

They don’t make them like they use to. I was too young to understand their contribution to city. This fantastic tribute now put this into perspective. This should be use to glorify the hero’s they were for our club.😢

Very very cool. The greatest goal I've ever seen went back to City in the early 70's. I was a young Aussie watching the Big Match late on a Monday night with Brian Moore religiously. Always had to wait for the tape to arrive from the UK. I do not remember who City were playing, but I remember that City were coming out of defence. Dennis Tueart started the ball moving forward from the middle, three passes later in one flowing movement down the right with Dennis running straight up the field he hit a volley from that third pass/cross from outside the box into the back of the net. Direct passes, no dribbles, one end of the field to the other with the ultimate result. It would've been around 5-6 seconds from Dennis's first pass to the back of the net. Pass, pass, pass, bang, goal. One end of the field to the other. Teamwork at it's finest. Go City.

@8;49 Mike Summerbee says "not bad" NOT BAD?? You were bloody brilliant. Mike Summerbe is STILL my all time favourite player.

  • @RibombeeTeacher

Three of the most unassuming humble players the world ever produced. They were at our club and are some of the most iconic parts of our history. Huge props to everyone in the process and if anything it proves how much Khaldoon wants things done the right way.

  • @hugomarques2096

Absolutely brilliant and very emotional tribute to 3 great players and 3 great men. They built a beautiful story and gave their all to the club we all love and support. No bitter rival fan will diminish this clubs achievements past and present. A proper football club with a very tight bond between the fans and the players. Its one big family.Wouldn't have expected anything less from this amazing club, to give these players the prize they deserve. RIP Collin Bell, RIP Francis Lee. And long may Mike SummerBee live. This is our City 💙💙💙

A wonderful tribute to three of the best players to grace English football and Manchester City. I never knew them personally, but that was an emotional watch for me. I can't wait to be there and see the statues in place.

  • @user-en8ie1pt1c

we will never forget our past and the legends that the club has had in history. we will always remember thest three legends.

  • @user-hk7qe4tg4l

Thanks to everyone involved for creating this documentary. It captures not just the making of the statue, but the making of these legends and the history of the club. I didn’t know a lot about these players truth be told, so it’s fascinating to learn about our accolades of the past.

  • @carlheald9228
