Stuart has just slipped easily into that role if not those chairs.
Broad and Anderson have been the leading bowlers for England for so long. It is good to see Broad in Anderson's last. Just reminds me, I am getting old.
Now no one talks about the test match is done and dusted in 3 days,its just they don't like india.

yes,... In India, England team is like an associate nation in terms of playing spin skills... Here now they credit the tremendous bowling skills against a weak WI Side....
People only say that when it’s done that quick because both teams can’t play the ball, in Ahmedabad 2021 the highest innings score was 145 and Joe Root took 5/8. Here England scored 371, so it’s hardly the pitch to blame for a 3 day game. Notice (almost) no-one complained this time when England toured India? Because they were good pitches
the reason test matches finish early in india is because of the pitches - they can do something about that. can't do anything about poor opposition

I agree that he could have carried on for longer definitely, but eventually they were going to have to chuck him out. Broad and Anderson have entirely different philosophies about retirement, Broad knew he could still go on but wanted to end while he was still good, Anderson has openly said he’ll keep playing for England until he’s dropped, then he’ll keep playing for Lancashire until he’s dropped…

If you look at the stats as an all rounder! Stokes now has 200 test wickets and 6,000 test runs. Very few all rounders have such a record

3 day test is not good for cricket. The result is flattering and an inexperienced West Indies team on a lords pitch only one winner. Just think of all the refunds lords will have to give and the revenue lost.
Once upon a time WestIndies have a proper test team to beat anyone now wi players priority gives to franchise cricket in all parts of the world to make money and survive. and not giving importance to national team that cause downfall for WestIndies cricket team and inexperienced players are playing in test cricket and major seniors players interested in franchise cricket than own country. 😟😢
