    Really miss André's red ESP. I fell in love with that guitar like 15 years ago and was the reason to buy a LTD M-200 in red. Since then, He's been my favourite guitarist of all time and my favourite guitar.

      +ManueN lol same here, that red Horizon custom with soloist headstock has been hunting my dreams for a long while, it was the main reason for me loving ESP

      +ManueN I wished for a signature of his for so much time, too bad it never really happened. I guess with Ibanez will be sort of the same :/

    Great video!!! That super customised Andrè's RG would be an incredibly cool signature guitar for ibanez to produce. Does anybody know about the wood the body is made of? Is It Alder, mahogany...? As far as I remember, the ESP had neckthru construction. Thx.

      Basswood

    • @scottdunn2178
      @scottdunn2178 Před 2 lety

      @@larsheuker I think so too. A maple top on basswood isn't bad, but straight basswood is too spongy sounding. It's why I don't like those 80's Japanese Charvels.

    metal bands tend to be boring on the rig now ... most of them use AxeFX or Kemper ...

    Why not just use the mesa boogie heads? every video its just eeh aah we using the kemper or the axe fx, but no one ever uses the stock amp models on them, nooonooooo we had to profile a real amp.

    • @EvilDragon666
      @EvilDragon666 Před 8 lety +11

      Because tubes break in transport. Kempers/Axe FX are a lot more portable and sound virtually identical (especially the Kemper), no need to replace tubes, they produce consistent output day in and day out... There are benefits to it.

    • @blacklabelmansociety
      @blacklabelmansociety Před 8 lety +3

      +Mario Krušelj also lightweight

    • @tuanngo8575
      @tuanngo8575 Před 8 lety +4

      Cuz it's more portable and reliable for touring, and it sounds great
      dont get me wrong, I love tube amps and seeing "the wall of marshalls" on stage. But the modeling stuffs these days have a lot to take into

    • @screaminggoat4224
      @screaminggoat4224 Před 6 lety +5

      Ettienne Groenewald when Guardian plays over here in Germany the use real tube amps. When they are going on a world Tour they use Kemper and Axe FX for transportability. So If you wanna hear them with real tube amps Come to Germany.

  • @taxo
    @taxo Před 8 lety

    I don't want to sound like a dick, but I personally think Marcus sounded better some albums ago, when he was probably using the Dual Recto(IIRC), and Andrè with the Dual Reverb (more recognizable sound to me). But I guess the Axefx is just way better for portability and recording

    • @BeardedDanishViking
      @BeardedDanishViking Před 8 lety

      Much more efficient logistically and much more reliable. As well as more flexible :3

    • @taxo
      @taxo Před 8 lety +1

      +BeardedDanishViking more flexible for sure,reliable dunno... a good analog amp can hardly be unreliable

    • @BeardedDanishViking
      @BeardedDanishViking Před 8 lety

      Fabrizio Zado Donadelli Nor did i say that it was. But the Axe FX is more reliable, in my experience. :)

  • @kevinmiller1251
    @kevinmiller1251 Před 7 lety +2

    Man metal bands need to get back to tube amps. Real amps, real power

    • @saintluciaofficial2019
      @saintluciaofficial2019 Před 5 lety

      I use a Line 6 Pod Pro X through a Peavey Valveking 100 head. The tubes make a huge difference honestly. If I had to, I'd get another tube amp head. To me, it's worth it.

    • @georgc6947
      @georgc6947 Před 5 lety

      I used to think so for a long time...until Kemper came along. They do such a good job of recreating the tube sound through profiling that they make the heavy tube amps obsolete. People can't tell the difference in A/B tests. If you don't believe me, go play one.
