Maddi is a super nice guy, and really good at explaining how Petrucci’s madness all comes together.
When i saw "new video from TC Electronic" i had a new hope after last one. But i see that Mr. Manual Focus Strikes Back. ;P
The best gear, the worst camera work. My eyes hurt.

I love how the video was cut short just before they were about to show the axe FX... probably TC's worst enemy
The thing I love about JP's sound is if 99% of guitarists played with his setup they'd sound awful. Sterile cleans with piezoelectric mixed in, heavy metal distortion, hard rock wah. He makes it sound so good.
Alan Angel Distortion hides shitty playing. What makes Petrucci's tone unique is the tightness. Every note (and fuck-up) is clear as day.

This can also be achieved with a Helix Floor or HeadRush Pedal Board. It shows how much IDgital World has improved... Nice Setup though

Has anyone tried pedals in a drawer like this? I wanna try this in home studio. Is 1U height has enough headspace for the drawer to go in and out with pedals on them ?

It depends on the height of your pedals and power supply, but in general, yes.
That toneprint app needs an update I know it's a free service but if you're gonna offer it at least give it an update

All delays are in the Axe-Fx
And the Fractal Axe FX presumably are in the FX loops of the amps for wet delays and verbs ?
JP hates reverb, he doesnt use reverb at all except for the acoustic. watch JP with the capt interview.
Well whatever wet effects he does use are most likely in the Axe FX and it is skipped over here. So it is an incomplete rig run, which is the point.

Yeah....VERY incomplete. Fractal is the stereo bridge between the pair of 2Cs. Top amp FX send mono into Axe Fx input...Axe Fx output 1 in stereo back into FX return of both 2Cs and then off to mic'd cab land..and output 2 of Axe feeds a little Mesa rackmount stereo poweramp into the 1x12 Mini Recto cabs on stage for a little in your face tone and feedback....plus its a footrest!!

Does anyone know if John's Wah is the very Very first in the chain or does it go to the amp fx loop in any way?
I know it's being mentioned in 2:03, just want to know if the amp's distortion or any effect are hitting the wah's signal

the delay is in the fractal, in a video from premier guitar they mention that and even John said the exact time for Left and Right

You're confusing auto focus for depth of field. The camera has (slow) auto focus on but the problem is the camera guy is using a depth of field of 2cm which makes everything roll in and out of focus when moving around.
Cameraman was having a hard time when recording this.
HOW DIFFICULT is to shoot with proper focus point?! Honestly, HOW HARD CAN IT BE? It RUINS the whole concept.
Dear TC Electronic can I be the camera man? I live in Greece from even from here I have more steady hand :P :P
