That smile on your Dads face says it all. I would give anything to see that kind of smile on my Dads face. Cherish the time you have left with him Matt.
Absolutely, lost mine 17 days before my 20th birthday.
I would give anything and everything to get to hang out with my dad like that for just one more afternoon. Totally agree. Don't waste a single day you can have together and share those kinds of smiles.
Agreed!
@@todds2248 As would I. Cherish every moment you have with them while you do have them.
I would love to just spend one more day with my dad lost him when I was 15 I wasn't even grown up
I'm now 30
Your dad just looks genuinely excited. So wholesome
I remember my good friend in high school picking me one morning in a 68 Z28 I’ll never forget the feeling when we pulled into the parking lot at school
@@smokeyjoe1953aaaaanddd… what does this have to do with the comment?
idk if you notice but there was a smile on his moms face too in the back ground
@@jacobceisler He was reminiscing calm down.
@circutunknown2945 rangers fan. What you expect? 😂😂
I would happily watch an hour a week of Matt cruising with his dad. This is 100% feel good content!
The cruise-talkshow! Hellyeah
Cruzin ranch podcast
His dad looks like he might accidentally cruise 4 states over just rowing gears 😂
Agreed!!!
*Me too, bro. That feels like a great experience to share with the guys who can’t have it for some reason.*
You dad mouthing your outro behind you was absolutely hilarious, you can tell how much he loves you and is proud of everything you have done in your life.
Thank you for not making this a six month series. Would have been easy to do. Your dad is awesome, love his channel.
Firmly agree with that. Great moment!
What is his dads channel?
@@stevendenny1990out on the ranch
Great channel
@@spinnyd was at work thanks for giving him that info!
@@Clarkyson i too am at work, don’t tell toyota!
Nothing more American than rebuilding and restoring a beautiful piece of Americana machinery and seeing the look in your dads eyes. Bravo Matt.
I lost my dad when I was 18 and always dreamed of this. I was smiling ear to ear the entire video. Moments like this is what life is all about!
This is it right here. Few people get to experience the satisfaction of life as much as Matt, this video is example number one. Cheers friends 😊.
I didn’t have a father at all, but this video made me feel like I have one. At least for the time I was watching it. This is one of the greatest restoration series in history. To my opinion, these few videos are in my top 10, among those I’ve ever seen. Maybe, on the first place.
I lost my grandfather two years ago and we would always talk about my old c10 . He was the only Chevy guy in the family other than me. Embrace the time you have matt
I like that Matt is one of the youtubers that actually wears the merch fellow youtubers give him, or at least that work with bunker branding
Junkyard Digs does not get their merch through Bunker. Matt's being altruistic and a friend - no business involved.
I have never thought of that before. Now that you mention it I haven't seen many CZcamsrs wear other CZcamsrs merch. Good eye
@@BIGGER_REDi notice a handful with demolitia shirts just because i watch so much of matt's content.
Rhett from "Matts offroad recovery" is the most recent
I wish your brother Mark could have seen this build along with Drew. Much love and support to you and your families.
I hope you enjoyed that ride with your dad. Those are some unforgettable moments.
Matt. MATT. We all love this so much. This is something we all dream of doing for our fathers. I know he is so proud of you!
Well you did it, I cried... So happy for you and your Dad. Cherish these moments. My Dad passed away 4 years ago. We did a lot together and we built a lot of cool cars. Have fun!
I loved hearing him say that you did it just the way he wanted to do it. It goes to show just how well you know your father.
The muscle rod guys really are something special. Gotta give them a shoutout for making something like this happen in such a short amount of time. Those guys are genuine and definitely love what they do, otherwise special moments like this would not materialize.
Always a thumbs up for Muscle Rod. Special guys there.
Hopefully they will get there own show on Motor Trend like the Holden Bros.
My dad died, somewhat unexpectedly, back in October. Seeing you with your dad draws a tear. A good father is invaluable. Cherish every moment.
100% had tears flowing, thinking of my late father
Lost mine really unexpectedly. It was shocking, to say the least. He was a car guy. He loved his old fast cars.
Your blessed to still have your dad around. I lost mine 13 years ago
I'm not gonna lie to you Matt. I cried when I saw this. My dad died when I was 27 and I'm about to turn 56 I remember those times when I able to surprise him with a big thing like this. It's a great feeling. Way to go Matt!
I’m right there with you man, I lost my Dad a little over 7 years ago in my late 30’s. 😢
@chaosseat yall both were fortunate I just turned 40 and lost my dad when I was 11. In 1994.
@josephz9006 Dang man. We are in the same boat. I'm 35 now and my dad committed suicide in 1996. Crazy how much time can go by and sometimes I can barely remember his face or his voice. And other days I can see him in my head clear as day. Even after about 27 years.
This video is the very definition of heartwarming. I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
There's nothing better than surprising a dad and making them smile.
The only thing missing in this video is Mark sitting in the back seat saying "punch it dad" , lol God rest his soul, but I know he's up there with a smile on his face grinning from ear to ear 😂😅🙏❤️
No joke Matt your dad seriously has to be the proudest dad there is. His kids have so much success and the amazing things you do for him and your friends and family. I enjoy your channels because you get to do everything I've always dreamed of doing.
We need a tour of some of your dads cool stuff
He actually has his own CZcams channel: “Out on the ranch (with dr. lee)”. He has some really interesting stories on there.
“I just wanna cruise” well Matt, Detroit has the “Woodward dream cruise” every year and cars from all around the world come to the event! If I saw that you made it up here with the Camaro I’d DEFINITELY be on the lookout for it!!
Awe. I can imagine Mark sitting in the back with both of you. God Bless.😢
Loved the look on dads face when you told him its a 540 and then the smile that crept onto his face every time he opened up the throttle
Matt, what you did for your dad was nothing other than HEARTFELT WONDERFUL. Your father was so HAPPY!!! You're a good son.
69 likes, Nice....I would like it too but I don't wanna mess that up, lmao.
I love your Dad. He did a fine job raising you and your siblings. Matt, you have a fantastic family. It seems rare to see this in day and age, but you are doing it right.
Having lost my dad 15 years ago and always wanting to do a project car with him this video series brought me such joy and seeing your dad’s complete look of bliss driving it was the icing on the cake. So awesome 👍
That smile on his face makes it all worth it. You’re a good son, Matt. 🤙🏼😈🤙🏼
"mopar losers" lol....love it!!! Chevy all the way..........................................
What an incredible father-son moment right there!
Mate, that is a memory that will last forever for the both of you.
As a kid living in Australia, I had 2 dream cars when I was young (give away my age a bit), a 57 2 door chev & a 68 Comaro.
You sir, are living the dream. If you ever get a chance, look up an old Aussie movie called Running on Empty, I'm lead to believe it was released in the US under the name Fastlane fever, although I don't know if it was editied differently for the US audience.
All the best from Down Under.
Mark would love this too. He was most definitely with you guys in spirit ❤
You're so blessed to still have your dad around to share such a thing with. Enjoy every minute you have as time waits for no one.
I agree 100%. I lost my dad on April 28th this year.
7:25 Matt's dad's reaction is gold, its nice he didnt abandon you to get milk and raised you well
You're goddamn right.
I would have loved seeing your dad give you a hug while saying "I love you son" ... he is still mourning the loss of your brother (understandable) so love your dad with every fiber in your body while giving him the time to cope with that tragedy however long that takes. He loves you for sure but he just has a hard time to let go of his losing a child...
God bless you and your family.
Matt, this is what it's all about. I grew up a Camaro guy. My dad and his dad built several. I've had quite a few myself. Cherish this time with your pops. These memories will last with you forever.
Apparently his dad is a Vette guy and that rubbed off on his sons and they all drove Corvettes too. Thus was just a sentimental thing because it was Matt's first car he drove to school
@@mikedrop4421 Yeah, i've seen some of his vettes. My last sports car was a vette and I loved every minute of it.
Nothing better than seeing the smile on your dad's face as he drove. My father & I were shopping for an old / antique vehicle the same day he passed almost a yr ago. Enjoy that time!!
Can we all just appreciate the fact that Matt has put out 8 videos in as many days. 👏 👏 👏
Yes!
Dont forget to thank his editors as well. Yes, Matt works hard as hell but he also has a team that helps these days.
Never forget the little guys.
You’re a lucky guy to be able to experience that with your Dad man. Count your blessings every day.
Matt I think a “cruising with dad series” should be considered. Great videos as always.
This makes me tear up. I had a special connection through cars with my dad as well. We were always fbody fans, but had a ‘35 Pontiac in the barn that he got from his uncle for driving tractor when he was a kid. He always joked about having me fix it up for him, and secretly that was my plan, but the big C got him before I had the means to do so. So glad you are able to share this with your dad. Didn’t think that I’d be living vicariously through you when I started this video.
Go for a rides with him as often as you can Matt. I know life happens but before it’s too late enjoy the car with him. I lost my dad 4 years ago. I now have his 70 chevelle 454 and would do anything to go for a ride with him one last time. Also nice job the car looks great
That's heart breaking
When dad said you got too get this angle right here ! Then he’s waving by and seeing him say well see you next time priceless !!!!
I love seeing how happy dad is over this car. Speeding, grin from ear to ear, and breaking the law speeding a wee bit! LOVE IT!
You can see how happy he is. He cant sit still. just pacing trying to hold the excitement in. You made his whole life doing this for him. I know it made you happy seeing him happy.
Wanna see a proud dad smile ear to ear for a whole video? I give you this video. Good job Matt!
Matt, you and your dad have both said in your videos and in his video your dad is a Corvette guy. I lost my dad last November. ( Miss him like crazy.) He was Ford guy in 1972 fresh off the showroom floor he bought a 1972 Mach 1 Ford Mustang Red with white interior. A few months after I was born my mom asked him to sell it and he bought a 1976 Ford Mercury green with white interior. My Dad was a volunteer firefighter (45 years) 2 weeks after selling the Mustang to a guy he goes on a call for a vehicle accident well the guy that bought the Mustang wrapped it round a telephone pole. My dad tried to buy it back but there was just so much damage to it. My Brother and I for years tried to find one for him but they were either to damaged or not the right fit. One thing I will always remember about my dad is when he, my pap, and brother rebuild my brother's 1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88 from the engine up for 2 years and the look on his face the day when my brother got his license and finally moved it out of the garage. My brother will never forget working with them on that car.
Brought me to tears, remembering my father great job, young man
Watching this brought tears to my eyes. Your dads smile and watching you both cruise the Camaro was a priceless moment. Please continue to bring these moments to us as it brought back so many memories.
My dad and I restored cars together as a hobby. Sadly, I ended up painting the 66 Mustang after he passed. Just remember that these are the memories that will last a lifetime.
I wish my dad was still alive😢 I lost him when i was 18 and im now 42. Still miss him every day.
Same, I was 14 and now 41
I was 23. It's am now a senior citizen at 66! I wish I could have some of the cars from my youth.
Same...
Remember to thank God for the time that you had with him.
I vote for a weekly series of "stories from pops back in the day".
@15:50,, YES,, anything different than that would have not been 'right'. Thanks Matt,, we love the series, we love how cool Dad's excitement was when you surprised him with the NEW and IMPROVED nineteen sixty eight Camaro. It's a GEM!
The smile on your Father's face was amazing. Y'all be safe.
The smile on your dad's face is priceless! Dr. Lee, enjoy! 🎉❤
Hey nice car....BUT DID YOU SEE THAT VIEW!!! lol
Anyone else shed a tear at the sheer joy and memories flowing from Dr. Lee. Sure hit me in the feels!
Matt, I think you just gave hope to every old car guy, that one day they are lucky enough to have a son like you with the wisdom to bring back so many good times and share so many new adventures!! I tip my hat to you sir!!
you made me cry and made me remember my dad
,thank you dad i miss you
i know you see me there in heaven and you know i have a son now , ilove you , i know we will see its other soon love you dad
Seeing you and your dad reminiscing about the Camaro was priceless.
That's awesome you were able to get back up and running. The look on your dad's face was pure happiness!
The smile on his face. You shoild be so proud of yourself. The love.
You are a fortunate man, Matt to share this with your Dad. For all of us who can no longer share with their Dads, Thankyou.
I love how genuine Dr. Lee is. He's just as fun to watch as you!
way to go matt. so happy to see a father bring that much joy back to their father. yall seemed to really enjoy the time together also, and your dad is good on cam as well.
Matt this was great I lost my dad ten years ago and just seeing that smile one your dads face made me extra happy love that you have memory like this keep it up
Thanks matt I jus spent most of that in tears.. something I would have loved to have done for my dad who's no longer with us.. thank you ❤
the "Gah-lee!" really says that you are your fathers kid. So wholesome i love it
This may be my favorite video. The joy that it brought the two of you was so wholesome.
This really makes my heart happy for you Matt and your dad. His smile was worth everything you done. I lost my dad in 1976 and I miss having him around and could go to him for everything. Now I'm 68 and thank God I have a relationship with God to get me through. Cherish every moment you have to be with your dad and mom.
I believe Mark would have been a part of this and would have been over the moon with enjoyment as you presented it to Dr.Lee!
Agreed...and your comment made me tear up. Mark would have loved this!
It seems strange not seeing Mark!
Papa Demo is delightful! So glad to see how excited he was at the reveal!
Very cool Matt. Glad you had the chance to share this with your dad. My dad and always wanted to do something like that but his time was cut too short.
Dr Lee is the best dad ever.
Seeing how happy your dad is brings tears to my eyes. I wish just once I could see a look like that from my dad again. I’m glad you were able to create this special memory with him
Couldn't help but smile seeing your dad's reaction
Happy Father's Day Pops! Both of you I guess are enjoying this, just as the good Lord intended. Beautiful ride by gosh.
I love how your Dad mimicked you in the background on the outro and as well you giving your Dad back his dream Car
I grew up in that car in the 90's and was dropped off at school in it everyday. ours was a 67 with 383 stroker with 750 double pump holley. same color too. It was my MOM's and she drove it as our daily for my entire childhood. lol.. I lived in that car for so long that I literally got sick of it.. Engine screaming down the highway with the windows down and the radio blaring. So it's kinda funny how every loves these things, but I'm personally over it. I was happy to see her sell it for eight grand a couple years ago, after sitting for about a decade.
Nice used car
It's been nice seeing this all the way through so quickly.
I love that your dad knows the outro so well that he mouthed it with you!
So fun to see another Chevy saved. I started working on my 69 Chevelle in 1983. New fenders on. Rt 1/4 on and it has sat rusting away since then. Still have new Lt 1/4 and rechromed bumbers. Got doors from Texas But now I am on oxygen with no garage to work in. So it sits . Maybe family will fix it some day.
That smile on dr lee's face when he told Matt "you sir are a liar"
That was totally amazing Matt. I wished I could do that for my dad. Unfortunately I lost my dad the same month 10 days after you lost your brother Mark may God rest his soul and I love the fact Dr. Lee, a.k.a. the best parent in the world that I know of mocked you’re saying and I’ll see you next time may God be with your family the same as our family. Thank you for your videos they help me relax after work.
That was a fun over-the-shoulder shot. Great catch!
I’ve probably watched most of your videos. This is my favourite. Miss my dad so much.
Probably one of my favorite series on OffTheRanch. It was great to see his genuine reaction to seeing the car roll again.
Matts dad saying "goooolly" is to wholesome. like father like some
Give it to your Dad, you’ll get more enjoyment from seeing the glow from him driving it!
Matt literally said multiple times throughout the series that he was giving it to his dad. Of course Matt said if my dad doesn't wanna take it, I will.
@@Yourmommyisbusy Yep,, that's exactly what he said. 🙂
He knew his father wouldn’t want it. He’s working on other cars
Ah yes telling other people what they should do with their stuff😂 noice👌
I think this might be the favorite series you've ever done! I also think this is the favorite car you've ever had on the channel.
God, I just love your dad so much! The look on his face…the expressions when he is driving it❣️The bonding between you both…priceless!
This is such an amazing and awe inspiring surprise for your pops man. Son of the year
Man you just made your Dad SOOOOOO Happy ! Good Job Matt ! Awesome Ride, “Heavy Chevy”
Matt as a simple guy from Poland who is like half world away im certain that i ll rebuild my dads bike and ride along side with him. Ty for that
Matt’s just out here living every guys dream and deserves every bit of it 🤝
You should be proud of yourself for doing that for your dad. Hats off to you!!👍👍👍
Thanks Matt, for setting such an awesome example that we can all take inspiration and initiative from.🙏🏼🙏🏼
Spending quality time with Dr Lee driving a reborn muscle car is epic. Happy times.
this has to be the BEST mini series ever. Just seeing your dads grin! What a son!
Congratulations Brother Lee on a great car revived by a great son!
Success on multiple levels Matt! you made your fathers heart swell, and you got Brandon to do a project in one month. the first was easy... the second highly improbable
What you do for your brothers
Made me laugh when your dad said "golly" the same way you do. Also when he first got in it, he honked the horn just like you did. This is good stuff. It's always cool to see how similar you two are. Well done!
Matt, for all that you do across your channels, I loved this the most. Definition of a good human being.
Your Pops looks so happy!! Great job Matt!!! Hopefully your Pops got to take your mom out for a nice evening cruise in her!
