they should 100% take fan sentiment into account. Our opinions DO MATTER. Nothing without the fans
Bringing in a new manager who won’t even get to work with the team until post euros with the team leaving for pre season days after. It puts any new coach already at a disadvantage. Ten hag has a good year and a bad year but more importantly he’s proven and knows what the team needs, which players lack mentality and which kids are coming through as he cleared out Hannibal fred etc for mainoo to come through
@@Danny-iv5uu It makes the most financial sense, it makes the most transitional(in terms of INEOS ownership) sense, it makes the most business sense when you look at win % and cup run records,(Coventry away from 3 finals in 2 seasons with 1 Already won...) and the 60 injuries this season. Thats before we get to him starting to correct the club culture a year ahead of INEOS' arrival, and the misc. suspensions, crybabies, and 'scandals' he's handled.
Hi Sam, I dont really know where to start, but despite all the negatives, i do feel that these players are fighting for him. We are in no position to trash Chelsea, but it takes character to come back for some of the games we were behind, ( Liverpool and Chelsea ). I look at these players, these players even though they dont seem to have any idea what the hell they're doing at times, there are signs that they are fighting for Erik, which is important to me. It shows that he has 1) not lost the dressing room, and 2) the players are backing him. Where do i stand? I am with Erik, a 100% even if we go dont qualify for any European football next year. This season as a whole hasn't been good enough, but yeah, so many things have been going on and it doesnt benefit the club, doesnt benefit Erik. Let me also say, i truly would lose hope in Erik when he gets the team he wants, and they fail to compete. Take a look at this team, it has Jose's signings, Ole's signings, and some of Erik's signings. In an ideal world, would some of these players be here if Erik was here earlier? I dont want to go into individual performances for some players this season. With every 1 or 2 lows, i can name a good thing that has come out of it too. Rashford's bang average, out of form, but you have a player like Garnacho. Antony has been below standard, but you got people like Maguire stepping up, Mainoo's breakthrough. Injuries havent helped us 1 bit. I dont keep tabs on other clubs much, but how many clubs out there can say they have a centreback partnering like we do? The combinations, the injuries we have to first team players through this season. It feels like Martinez barely played at all this season. And we all know how important he is to this team, what he brings to this team. So yes, despite all these results, all these negativity, i am a 100% still with Erik. And if im being honest, i was split on the decision to sack Ole, but Erik is nowhere near that yet for me.
@vhkgrhdryd Those are "mitigating" circumstances, but I'm afraid that any explanations are filed under "more excuses..."Hopefully, INEOS are serious and remain sensible until the club has settled.
Any sacking of any manager at the club should be done by the experts on the board and not the fans and I think they should start with the players first and get rid of the poor ones and those who lack effort and bring in quality players which Ten Hag wants to fit his system.
Experts on the board.....Have you seen who is on the Board
Thats why they are recruiting the right people@@daveclarke6481

Yes, give him a chance with the new structure. We all know that 5/6 players need to go including Rashford!
He should be the first on that list.
And Bruno
Bruno is the only playmaker in that midfield. If he goes, no one is gonna do the long passes.
@@DavidLaMuse Bruno isn't scoring and assisting but he is ready to play anywhere, ready to play every game, is the only injury free player we have, he is the only one who actually cares for the club last year he was amazing becuase he had eriksen as his support and becuase of that it hepled him massively this season he's had no one
Bruno needs to go first
Its crazy to me how emotional our fans get. In his first season he wins us a cup and gets us to 3rd place and now we want to do the same thing that we've done to every manager since SAF retired and believe things will change.
Agreed. We have fallen to 6th. Chelsea have literally been points away from relegation places at times. You’re never as far back as you think and you’re never as ahead as you think
Even the games we have won the performances have mostly been poor. He ain’t got it.
Our fans are crack heads. They want instant success when anyone that knows anything about success knows it takes time and importantly the right foundations. United have no foundations, appalling ownership that created a culture of pathetic unprofessional clowns that represent our club. That's not just leveled at the players but also the board and senior leadership. It's a fuckikg car crash and not Pep or Klopp could succeed. That's why EtH should be given another season to remove as many of these pathetic players that he can this summer and hopefully that will improve the foundations of our team. Get some players fitness back, sell the likes of Rashford, Sancho, Maguire, Casimero and we might hopefully grab a few bargains that could be developed. Unfortunately now I'm in Dreamland, as we know our crazy fans don't grasp concept of planning and building for the future - HAS TO BE DONE YESTERDAY!!!! 🤦
it isn't an issue about the position at all, not even totally the results. it is the manner of how we lose and perform, there has not been a single game this season where we can say we were very good in attack and did not let opposition create much. we do not control games, our defensive setup is awful and ten hag seems to have very low standards and hes being embarrassing by saying we deserved to win every time we lose/draw and when we barely scrape a win he says that we played incredible. it's embarrassing. he isnt a good coach
If you pay over a billion for a club, every decision, appointment and performance is a reflection of your vision and competence as an owner. Keeping Ten Hag is a risk to that, so its done hes gone in summer. Good riddence.
I am backing him, I have done until now, and last nights result made me question his thinking
and for the first time, I really thought about whether he should stay or not? But after the emotional
rollercoaster that was the game, and the day after, I am still backing Eric, to be the man, and get the backing
of INEOS, and all that brings, going forward
thats why you’re in the basement eating cookies and milk. thanks that we dont have you at the club like we have been with arnold and woodward

If it isn't Nagelsmann or Carlo right now, then whats the point of sacking ETH now. Get the foundations sorted then worry about the manager. We're never going to get relegated, so again, let's have some structure, and then move on the manager for a new one.
Manager is only there to sew the ideas together in a modern club. We need to have an idea what we want before the coach comes in.
yup, the data shows the manager only have a modest impact on a team's performances. of course a modest impact is very important in a competitive league like the Prem but the idea that this team will just turn it all around because of something Ten Hag or any other manager does is not realistic

David Gill also left the same time.
Woodward instead of Gill - you call that structure? And these fans try to make us believe they know smth😂
Arguably the loss of David Gill was more injurious to the club than the loss of Sir Alex.
One of ineos mistakes at nice was changing to much to quick, makes sense that they are cautious of that this time. Also a posative as it shows SJR learns quickly

Channel that kisses the backside of Ten Haag
How many games we lost this season I rarely see ETH as the guy, who should get the hate and the sack.Even yesterday it was zero fault of ETH for losing a game, its the players and their focus, the loss is fully on them, I hope Ratcliffe gives Ten Hag more time
Look how many defenders get injured it’s not his fault literally two CB injured in one game he wanted Kane and Kim Min Jae
I fully believe that if United had CBs with enough pace to play a high line it will solve over half the issues we've seen this season.
And a fit left back and a CDM that's quick enough.
Absolutely agree that this is what we need to truly see his style and vision. He’s being stubborn playing that style without the required players but I’m okay with him not wanting to revert back to counterattacking football.
If all fans would analyze the game like this, they would be calm and patient. Because in every project there will be lows, and these are the times of the lows. These lows just enable management know which department on the pitch needs an upgrade. Otherwise I too still see ETH as the man, he needs to be given time. All the clubs we admire have given their managers time.
It's great to see Sensible Sam back again after last night. Perhaps emotions got better of you but appreciate you as a leading voice taking a step back to see things a bit differently and in the way we all as a fan should. Most importantly you recognized it yourself. That's the Same I know and I follow. Your opinion matters mate! Cheers.
Excellent review, Sam. Photo in today's Telegraph says everything. Three United players pointing to the unmarked Palmer at the last corner ... it needed someone to literally give an order ... go and mark him !!! Thats down to the players not the manager.
When mistakes keep happening it's the managers fault
@@zeeone4492First time it’s happened ffs.
@@Primitive01 the mistakes this season are plentiful
Look at the goals shots chances conceded
Opposition touches in the box
It's not rocket science
What’s the goalie doing? What’s Bruno doing? Smh 🤦
@@zeeone4492I'm not saying he should go, he needs time, much more time but I do think his missing something between the midfield and the defense. There's always this gap and it needs to be filled somehow, players tracking back, better link up play. It will happen over time and changes made in players. You can't always sack a manager and not expect dips and inconsistencies, maybe just maybe a manager like this needs more time. We know he can coach a team to success. Jumping from manager to manager every 3 season doesn't make sense
Do not want to see Southgate any where near our team! Give ETH one more year.
Southgate is a disaster
1. Ten hag has a 3 year contract. Unless UCL qualification was a demend of that, he would cost millions to fire,.that money would come out of the player cost budget.
2, The club needs to revise how injured players are reintegrated into the match day squad.
3. IF... IF!!! Ten Hag is willing to work within a new, hierarchical structure, and woirk as a head coach/recruitment leader (rather than having veto) he would be the right choice to go forward.
This is refreshing, Sam. So they calculated all details not just driven by emotion, to do a whole surgery not just a cosmetic surgery.
This was suggested by Rangnick. I'm glad if Ineos will execute this plan thoroughly.
If we keep him, he must - MUST - take a reduced role. Because last night's game is indicative, in my opinion, of the chaos surrounding the club. Aging players, no real hustle except from a few of the younger guys. The majority of the team needs to go. Replace them with youth, keep a couple of the senior players on as mentors to the younger lads (Johny Evans, while losing a step, showed his experience last night and would do us well to keep him around for such a purpose). This season has been completely unacceptable and watching it has been gut-wrenching! City are now where we used to be and that, too, is unacceptable. Go with youth who will hustle from beginning to end and play for the badge and stop buying these geriatrics at the end of their careers.
Take a reduced role how exactly? He’s the coach
@@staffieloco8114 take a head coach role instead of manager, meaning he should not have control over transfers and such
@@staffieloco8114 He's the manager. As a head coach will only deal with players already at the club and training of those players. He can have a say but as a manager he has veto authority. That will go away once INEOS personnel are in place.
@@doa1377 so you think he’s going to willing give up the manager job?
Honestly, I believe ETH should be allowed to operate under better management structure at Old Trafford, for at least one more season
Agreed with your earlier comments. We look at things passionately as fans, INEOS look at stuff the completely opposite way......hopefully!
So I still await the massive clear-out, and the changes that will come.
You want the club to keep a manager that concede 60+ shots in 2 games and says he doesn’t care about it.
The standards of the club and fans are in the mud. 14 defeats and it’s just April.
He should’ve been sacked after that 7 nil defeat to Liverpool.
You think Sir Jim with his 25% will save the club. You’re all in dreamland.
Both the players and the manager should be replaced.
The problem last night was a lack of a midfielder who controls distance and pressure. In a couple of years, Mainoo can be the next Roy Keane for us
Intelligent managerial, wise people, wise decision. Walking for success, not running into the wrong path as reactive people. Good!! Thanks God we got them now at the club, the mid time term seems good, but we really need to be patient, whether it is with ETH in that future or not.
The problem is that we just don't know how good TH is , because he's been working at a club that has been undergoing open heart surgery. Its only when the surgery is over that we will know.
Thg needs to stay,we will have a proper structure, less pressure on the manager,he just needs to manage the team .
They've not replaced a CEO etc .. They've outright brought one in cus no manager has had a proper club set up at United since fergie handed the reigns over.
Those odd why we've struggled.
Players coming back from injury are dropping straight back into training instead of getting fit first 😅
You really should know that mate.
because managers are often the face of the club and bygone era of SAF and Wenger, people think they have way more impact on team performance then they actually do, but the data shows they only have a modest impact. this is why Chelsea and Man City have won the league with multiple different managers when they had good player recruitment. the idea that Ten Hag or any other manager can just turn things around with this aging, lightweight, injury riddled squad is just not realistic. to me EtH has showed his ceiling is high but his floor is low. as optimist then, I have to think that with the right squad he could do big things.
Some managers can have a huge impact and certain managers have been proven to be that type of manager, but you have to let them. "Maybe he can stay for another year" or "Maybe he should finish the season" is not the way that works. If the supporters, media an board create an atmosphere in which his job is conditional, the players smell that whether they want him to stay or not
His job should not be a matter of discussion and that's up to the board. Arteta has had a huge impact because the board didn't give in. Van Gaal and Ten Hag are huge impact managers, Mourinho and Ragnick to a lesser degree too, United has failed them, no the other way around. It's a more general PL problem, but the regular sackings of managers like that is normal undermines the impact managers the most. If all clubs would believe it would be ridiculous to just ack a manager mid season because of a few losses the media would not gain any momentum with their stories, the players would make the chemistry their responsibility and the football played would be much better.
@@DenUitvreter I agree with keeping ten Hag and the practice of discussing his job after every result is disgusting and annoying. And I agree that the manager sacking obsession is ridiculous. My original point is derived from sport science that I have read. LVG, EtH, Pep, Klopp, Anceloti, all need good players to have good results. Recruitment is key. Recruitment is not necessarily in the hands of the manager even though they play a part. So the idea of changing managers and expecting dramatic change in results is a false premise. Furthermore, the idea that United are going to “turn a corner” this season is as well. They could improve form, luck could certainly get better, but until United get better players, the results will only be so good.
Amazing And real content Sam. I am sure in coming years UPTV will be the biggest Man utd channel.
I really hope you're right about the southgate and potter thing
I hope its true and he is there next season.. the sooner the structure is in place to help him the better. And a serious clear out is needed. And I hope he gets the clear out and the players brought in that's needed
If the Southgate, potter, RDZ is the replacement better just keep ten hag. Unless is Nagelsman
My issue with THG is since his arrival, we never controlled games and we have no style of play.. The injuries it's just to much... I want to defend THG but now I don't know how to cause everything is falling apart
Players we need to sell:
rashford
Mctominy
Martial
Casemiro
Add Bruno to that list too!
Excellent point Sam saying with all these changes behind the scenes that if we change the manager as well then it could back fire drastically and we could have what's happening at Chelsea right now
I feel your pain. Supporting this team is stressful, but as I have always said, we can't keep blaming the Managers. We did it when Louis van Gaal was there, repeated the same thing with Mourinho, and continued that trend till now with Erik ten Hag. Please let us see and look through this thing.
The only set of people who have gotten a pass are the players. We blame them and still keep them in the team. The team got so bad that Erik had to bring players from our Youth team because the 'SUPPOSED' big players were a bloody waste.
And now we want to sack another Manager who has done the best with what he's got, bearing in mind that he hasn't been given as much time as the others, coupled with having his best defenders injured, is downright unfair to me. We need to stop complaining about the Coaches.
Yes, call them out on their bad decisions, but we should focus more on changing most of the players in the club because we have babies rather than devoted men with a winning mentality.
Big shout out to you bro, I love your content and coverage on the club.
I'd be more worried about Bayern Munich looking for a new manager and knowing Ten Hag very well. The idea that Ten Hag, Ragnick, Mourinho and Van Gaal were the problem is quite absurd.
Do you honestly think Munich would look at ETH? That's plainly insane.
@@ajnz2420 Sure, he has left an impression there earlier his career and they remember his work at Ajax. Germans aren't that fickle.
I back EtH, he is the coach and I back him 100% like any other coaches United had (not Moyes and LVG😂) I feel like EtH will do a better job being just that tracksuit, making up plays and so on. Like he did at Ajax! Me personally would love to see him succeed at United
It'll all come down to results and performances. Unless they improve I can't see him making in to next season.
In every project there will be ups and lows, and these are the times of the lows. These lows just enable management know which department on the pitch needs an upgrade. Otherwise I too still see ETH as the man for the job, he needs to be given time. All the clubs we admire have given their managers time.
I think ten hag should be given the chance to take the club forward under a new football structure regardless of the results between now and the end of the season. We have turned into our rivals of the nineties and naughties forever sacking managers. Let's give the man a chance under this new structure. UP THE MANCS ❤️ 🤍 🖤.
We are going to finish 6th and get to the FA Cup Final. As long as we don't get beaten heavily by Lpool and City before the end of the season he will be kept for next season. We can't let these players dictate the course of the club.
Give him time ❤
I hope you are right. I would love to see ETH have another year with a summer of proper transfers.
Let's look at the facts of what ETH has had to deal with since becoming the manager of Manchester United.
- Sancho saga
-Ronaldo Saga
-Greenwood situation
-Antony situation.
-board that was skint and wouldn't give him the players he really wanted. Subsequently Having to have 3rd choice loan deals . Weghorst, Amrabat, Regulion etc..
-A player who won't press because he thinks he is better than what he is (Rashford)
- A fitness department who haven't got a clue (Martinez back to soon, believing Shaw and malacia will be back fit)
- changes having to be made for makeshift positions due to horrendous injuries .
- Martial injury.
The above is just scratching the surface!
The guy deserves a season to see how well he does without all the drama, injuries and a board who back him on the transfer market.
If Southgate is brought in rest assured Harry and Rashford are staying. It will take a coach with real guts to clear the closet clean!!!!
Southgate will not be the UTD manager. This is a scare tactic from CZcams channels to scare the fans to stay loyal. One thing about utd is they only hire managers that the fans want, Southgate ain't that.
Very good Sam 👍🏼 I has always believed that Erik ten hag is the right man. And still back him!!!
Facts..
I like ETH but the substitutions in the chelsea game were questionable
Once Mount went to the left and rashy went up top along with macsauce wherever he was supposed to be the game collapsed dramatically
This is the perfect manager for manual
We lost so many games because ETH has never been able to use who he wants because of to many injuries to his key players.
The only time he's had the player's he wants for his style of football.
He's had it once against wolves in the first 60 minutes they played amazing football look back and see it again.
Don't blame the coach Marcus RASHFORD is single-handedly crippling our season. Such a thorn in our flesh. He needs to be sold

With how much I understand football, I don't see ETH staying on next season with Manchester Utd. There is clear difference in work-style of previous management dragging/indecision with players, coaches & management staff & INEOS. Ineos seem to be more positive, decisive & professional.
That’s hilarious that they’d keeping him but change every member of staff around him. Hardly a massive vote of confidence in him tbh.
I believe ETH has had time. I’ve been back the manager since fergie left but it feels like it’s the trauma and mistakes from sacking other managers that has us in this place. What will need to happen before we change ? If he sets us up again with acres of space in front of an exposed make shift back 4 will it be murtaghs fault?
100% behind Ten Hag
Bit unfair to feed ten Hag to the wolves next season in order to look good in comparison but he only has himself to blame sticking to a tactical fantasy that neither works against city nor league 2 sides
To be honest, even if they want to get rid of him, I think they’ll seriously consider the financial implications of letting him go and bringing someone else in. I think they might prioritize overhauling the squad before sacking the manager.
Is so shocking to know that there are people who think eth should continue
I love Ten. Everybody feels different, but given a chance remember what he did with a young Ajax team destroyed Real Madrid with Stars guys we need him all he needs to do is get rid of the old players
Brailsford is a perfectionist!
Sure Solskjaer has just come out and said once he got the job full time players wanted to leave and gave up. Yet here we are backing the players again getting ready for a repeat cycle while the players see out their careers at United. Ten hags signings haven’t been too shabby mount not really played Antony ok hasn’t been great but has a bit of fight in him and will run for the cause unlike rashford. Casemiro unsure if he was ten hags signing but it’s ended where we knew it would the same as the varane signing. Malacia looked good for the money we paid not played this season… Erickson was ok last season and was only a short term option. Onana starting to look good at times and has had to face a lot of shots this season in his 1st season. This season we’ve been riddled with injuries and until the final few minutes last night looked like we’d turned a 2-0 deficit around. I honestly think to be in 6th and hopefully a f.a cup final with the injuries and early season circus we had isn’t too shabby. I agree he needs to turn things around and we need to see some sort of playing style but he hasn’t had all his signing on the field at any one time this season. Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture and sometimes patience does pay off.
INEOS are planning for next season with ETH because there is no realistic, head and shoulders upgrade than him right now. If there was someone available right now, they would fire ETH and bring that person in.
We don’t have a coaching problem, the players just can’t be coached
Most of fans like him ETH but its always a question mark about football identity he must get a way of playing & organized team
I cant watch my team suffer anymore. It is painfull.
Definitely he should be involved in all those, and that doesn't stop him from leaving. I don't expect them to make open there next actions on the manager because it should be the last and should come at the end of the season.
Ten Hag's main problem is his tactics, he is not tactical, technical, and proactive. And I don't think he reads the game well and even corrects the players because they keep making same mistakes every match.
How on earth is he not able to correct the midfield structure. Injuries are no excuse. We need to see the structure first, because if I am in charge of recruitment, I definitely don't know the type of players to get for him because he has shown not style of play except the open game he does every week.
I think the people saying we've got to give ETH watch a different Manchester united 😂😂
From a pragmatic point, keep ETH. He has many +s. The new structure might fix the gaps, more imp, South gate & Potter are a downgrade. In the next 2-3 transfer windows we can upgrade players & rid of the mediocre plyrs. My 2cents
MU needs consistency despite the injuries. In a PL team there will always be injuries.
Considering how many seasons Klopp and Arteta had we should be sticking with ETH. Arteta finished 8th on a couple of seasons ago.
i believe the business motto for both Arsenal and Man Utd are different. Man Utd is more commercial than Arsenal.
Man U will beat Liverpool again and people will say Eric should stay. He is literally playing without defenders for long time.
If ten hag is to be given a chance to manage Manutd next season then the board will have to sell almost 3/4 of the squad and purchase top class players who will win titles for Manutd
I really rate The Athletic - I do not believe however that they have their finger on the pulse on this occasion. The global corporate environment, that INEOS operate in, is ruthless - if INEOS sense that ETH is unable to motivate his players, that his players are unable to carry out his instructions, he will be dismissed.
If Utd do not prevail in the semi, ETH will be out of a job - simple.
It might be known to some of the players through their agents that they are to find new clubs for their clients. Hence they have to think of their future. They are being cautious and to avoid any injury! If you look hard enough, you could see who will be leaving come end season. STORY ENDS HERE!! Uniteds season ended a few weeks ago. Ten Hag don't have a full team that is committed to his cause!!
Oh, the yearly clear out BS has started. These contracted players are going nowhere. The inflated wages, poor form of the team make these players unsellable. This managers buys have just added to the heap of bang average players in on the utd books
MANU needs strong defensive midfielders and two strong centre backs. No need to fire ETH.
Look at what Ten Hag has said time and time again... Fine Margins.
We see out that match last night and it's a massive turnaround and a big 3 points.
Sack Ten Hag and that reduces our ability to buy in transfer window with FFP.
We will win the FA cup and that will give the squad belief in what Ten Hag is capable of achieving
I would give Ten Hag some more time. It's not like we are contending for anything in the next few years anyway. Look at Arsenal and Arteta. They were patient with him, and now they are flying. When watching the games, it seems like the players are the problem anyways.
As a professional athlete there are some things that you have to take responsibility of the coach doesn’t teach mindset and these players are uncoachable
Liverpool is a write off, we’ve got 1 recognized CB left in Maguire who’s not even 3rd choice no LB either our Defence has been decimated all season. I can see us trying to park the bus against Liverpool and hoping to catch a lucky break. Sunday will be filled with more frustration and WTF moments I think
He's lucky there's not an clear and obvious candidate.
I understand the logic of not shaking the boat too much with too many fresh people, but Ten Hag's role is the pivot. He is going into a contract year, where no one will count him as a lame duck. Better bring someone new who knows United or a similar-caliber club.
Oh, shut up please. Feeble minded fellow
I understand I why it looks bad for ETH. But I want the man to stay, good season last, bad this season currently… not enough time yet to say whether he’s the man or not.
Need to be think about a few wins tbh
How do you know what Ineos are thinking? Clearly they are a team that understands that, the footballing decisions are going to be made by the footballing men: Berrarda, Ashworth, Wilcox etc.
ETH is not the issue, rather the players will to win is not there the defence is awful if u can defend against Chelsea and Brent for a less than 3 mins Liverpool are going to have a field day at OT on Sunday. This players lack character apart from Mainoo, Garnacho and Rasmus the rest don't know what they are doing in field.
It took SAF 4 years to win his first trophy, don’t forget. Plus, it was with players signed by him, not the plonkers he inherited.
ETH deserves the chance to stay for next season because he's had to take on all the old players left over from all the last three managers.
They must shortly realise you and the fans don't want Southgate.
2 things United hv never learned since 2013. (1) They cannot defend even a 2-goal lead if there’s still 10-30 min to the end. (2) They always tend to not arrest the threats coming from the ‘live wires’ like C Palmer and Enzo Fernandez.
Ten hag needs a leader on/off the field who can manage the game and players, like a Keane. Mainoo is far too young and Bruno, whilst passionate, is not the right fit. Two quick CB's and this holding midfielder and it could look much better.
It's his 2nd season in all fairness, fergie 1st 3 seasons were unbecoming too ( I know know nobody wants to listen to that)I genuinely believe if we keep ten hag it will work or at least be similar to a nearly man to build for the next man to do it
Ten Hag should be given a chance as Manchester United's manager next season with the new football structure being formed by Jim Ratcliffe. This setup, including a Football CEO and football director, will provide the necessary support and guidance that the manager lacked previously. With a structured approach, Ten Hag can implement his tactics effectively and bring success to the club. This collaborative effort can help United regain stability and competitiveness in the league.
I honestly don't see how you can blame a manager for them players performance..😮😮😮
There’s always an excuse with Ten Hag: Injuries, fit, structure etc.
We can’t play a certain way because X is injured, Y was bought by this manager for this purpose. Spurs brought in Postecoglou who overnight transformed a team who under Conte were pragmatic defending deep, often with a back 3 to a ridiculously high press. Ten Hag has been in charge for almost 2 years, there’s no semblance of playstyle…
If we take that away, say Ten Hag has been dealt a bad hand and has credit in the bank let’s look at this year. Weekly we concede goals from cutbacks, weekly we have no control in games due to the massive gap between midfield and defence, weekly we concede 20+ shots on goal. These are either by design or the current coaching team are unable to coach it out of them, which is more concerning? When we had a fully fit team on opening day we got battered by a Wolves side who had only just hired their manager.
Ultimately, this reminds me of an NFL team hiring a new General Manager. They might inherit a coach but ultimately they haven’t hired him. The football this year has been atrocious, we make the same mistakes weekly and can’t control a game, a clean break is needed. The argument for keeping Ten Hag has been it’ll cost to sack and there’s not a slam dunk appointment to be made. Compensation shouldn’t get in the way of doing the right thing and really who’s going to be available next season who isn’t this summer?
It's gotten really difficult to back Ten Hag after he's made so many repeated decisions that have had negative effects on the team.
Good I’m glad they are including ten hag I want them to give him a chance he does deserve that much! We have sacked to many managers it’s time for change!
But we are playing football with no identity, and we conceding goal and short too much.. big fives teams around europe don't wait around, worse we won't qualify for Champions League, so bye ETH.
PetroChina and INEOS announce plans for new trading and refining JV in Europe
I always backed ten hag since day 1
Some sense at least
we need more of tenhag'....he needs a chance under a structure with better signings that play for the badge and the club as a whole.........LETS BACK THE MANAGER
What over 400 million spent and 2 years not enough, a big, serious club would bin him now!
Let's not pretend, he's not up to the job.
“If you’re an average detective” on potential replacements. 😂 yet we put stock in the fact that ETH has been included in pre-season discussions?! Whatever Ineos intentions are they’re not going to exclude the manager from those meetings until they’re ready to reveal their intentions, so there really isn’t any indication from what is written here!
