Yes I agree, it is stupid to get excited at Murtough being given the boot.
It was the most obvious thing to do and it has taken them 3 months to do it.
The correct and reasonable reaction is to say, "not before bloody time".
Now we are starting to see how Ratcliffe and INEOS are operating.
I think they have not announced their plans to replace Ten Hag because they do not want a period of uncertainty and speculation around who the next manager will be. I think this means that Southgate still hasn't decided if he wants the job and I think Potter could be the preferred candidate but they want to secure Ashworth so that their is an all new look to the footballing structure in the Summer.
Ratcliffe and INEOS are about to make a huge mistake, in my opinion, and letting go of Ten Hag is going to set us back a few years.
I'm honestly expecting a "hear me out: why Southgate could be a masterstroke", or "How we might line up under Potter" video.
      I am absolutely dreading it.

He chased FDJ all summer that was embarrassing. But even more embarrassing was the £70million United paid for a 30 year-old Casemiro then paying him £300,000 a week. Real Madrid then bought a 19 year-old Jude Bellingham for £83million paying him £220,000 a week. This is the level of incompetence under Murtough which is laughable. At least Richard Arnold did the decent thing and resigned. Did Murtough truly believe he deserved to stay at United after decisions like that.

Only problem is the glazers still have financial control and that makes me nervous after the last 19 years putting us in debt and milking the cow.
Sir jim ineos Brailsford omar must buy out joel avram all the glazers that must be the target 🎯 hes not mentioned sir jim how hes going to pay the debt off which is over 2 billion and rising concerning worrying. I agree hes brought in good people. But the glazers need to let the club fans move on.

I just hear absolute rubbish arguments that he can grow in role, he is overseeing first team, he should get another role and all that bs … the point of the matter is, he is our ex player and we are sensitive towards him … this is great but we are failing for a long time and everyone leading to this failure should vacate, Fletch included … i feel he is only there due to his proximity to SAF and we should bring some other ex-player if we really want that
