How to fix Dremel 4300 Rotary Tool Field Assembly Repair. Repairing Dremel 4300 tool, taking apart and replacing a broken field assembly and then putting back together. Had small issue something was contacting so just make sure to double check nothing came loose. In the end the tool works good now.

Man I can not tell you what a relief it is to open a how to video and not here some bizarre edm playing. Great video! Thanks for that parts number. I replaced the brushes in my own 4300 and it still doesn't work so this will be my next step.
This saved the day thank you I was about to take a hammer to it. I found the faulty clip and used a piece of copper to complete the circuit and now it works, and for free. Probably better the way you did it but at least they got me running again.

yeah its frustrating but can be an easy fix. first always check the brushes to see if they're worn out. hope you get it up and running.

yup, a not that expensive fix
Had that happen to my 3000. I took a piece of copper wire and hammered it flat to match opening. Plugged it in and still going a year and half later. Never occurred to me that I could buy a part, duh.

Used mine maybe 5 times. Took it apart many times, still cant find the issue. What a waste of money.
Yeah , as super helpful snd saved hours of trial and error, I would definitely just find a something laying around or disect a cheap harbor freight rotary tool before I give dremel more money for a tiny piece if metal. Hell, next dremel that breaks I'm just going to harbor freight and buying a cheap workhorse rotary that actually holds different sized accessories not just toothpick skinny ones and pay the two year warranty free replacement. And just swap it out every year in a half
Damn discombobulator challenged the doohickey to a fight for the whatchamabob. In the end, the Cleve chopped it up and set it straight! Haha!

This was my problem.. mine wasn't broken tho it was just off-center.. and the gold pin was between the metal and plastic NOT between both metal pins... FROM THE FACTORY... meaning their Quality control let this pass through. (i was wondering why it stopped working after 3 times of use.)
Heh.. i would just solder to that connector directly and thats will be permanent solution :)
