You might lose it more, to know Netflix is doing Gundam I: The Live-Action Movie
This game is like a second job
đyou dropped this papa g
War Thunder is well and good, but you got a link to that Star Wars animation you talked about?
That sounds like it's worth watching.
Free like paying for skins, ammo, battlefuelds and else?
At least Velma united all factions in their mutual hate for the show.
That's some Nobel Peace Prize level achievement.
True. Quite the accomplishment lol
Very few things bring us all together like roasting someone or something
No, woke people say it's satire made by anti woke.
So collective hatred for something is the only thing that can unite all people together lmao
And still a world in harmony is somehow wrong in their eyes. đ€Š
RIP Lance, met him once in a comic book shop in Vancouver. Was a fan of Fringe (which he was filming at the time) and a huge fan of The Wire and just let him know how Iâd always loved his work. Shook my hand and said he always appreciated when people let him they enjoyed what he did. Too soon to be gone
This.
He really was great :( rip
I agree.
Wait the last thing he did was act in that Resident Evil garbage and then died wow that truly was a toxic program.
He was memorable in Lost and excellent in Bosch.
Favorite part of the Cowboy Bebop live action?
The original creator basically told everyone to avoid it, that they talked to him once and never consulted him about anything with that series. Not surprising really.
Is that really your favourite part of a show? Or just something you wanted to say and didnât know how to?
I loved how they tried to act like they consulted with him when really all they did was show him a copy of the script.
(Which he clearly and justifiably hated)
They acted like he had much more to do with the series which I was very glad and relieved to find out was a complete lie.
Lmao that's like DB live action đ
My favorite part was when a Japanese commentator called it "More boring than a Korean Drama."
Lance Reddick was a fantastic actor who deserved more good roles. Who passed away to soon at the age of 60 years old. May he rest in peace.
He literally made everything he was in better.
He didn't even looked 60 years old, he looked 50. We always lose the good ones too early.
The man hard carried Destiny after Cayde was killed, RIP Lance Riddick/Commander Zavala
Netflix should hire Gundam to do the DSP Documentary. Take note Keem
I'm only interested if its a docudrama... Gundam as DSP.
Grifter: An American Pig Roach: The DSP story
In all honesty, the idea that Keem had for the 3 lolcows to do a podcast was a great idea.
I would just prefer Keem wasn't involved in it.
I hope he's seen the recent Side Scrollers podcast that Phil was just on đ
@@goatmagnum If you take him at his word, which in this case there's no reason not too, he would have only been the producer. He wouldn't have been one of the hosts or even on camera. He was just going to run the business and logistics of the show. It would have been up to DSP, Wings, and Boogie to actualy make the content.
Axe cop is a cartoon written by a literal child, and animated by his older brother.
And is still more coherent and enjoyable than most things lately.
âAxe copâ sounds like a good show
@@misanthropicservitorofmars2116 it is, and ridiculous.
In one episode axe cop and his partner flute cop get captured by a giant turkey to be cooked. Axe cop takes a nap and dreams someone who can save them into reality.
â@@whiterosesalchemist ay that's cool as hell
@@whiterosesalchemist I remember axe-cop, that show was awesome
A friend of mine who works in Hollywood was telling me about one of the pitches Disney was pondering for a while, before they abandoned, was a Star Wars show where the man characters of the show, found their way to modern day Earth. Like the whole concept of "A Long TIme Ago in a Galaxy Far FAr Away", had no bearing. I can't even ponder in my deepest darkest fever dream, how the hell that would work....
That's how the original 'Battlestar Galactica' ended, and it was terribad.
On one hand it could be done without to much difficulty with how butchered the force has been by Disney. And it could be interesting if done in a stranger in a strange land type show struggling to understand things that they had long taken for granted. On the other hand it likely would have been done so horrifically that people would question if Disney was downing a kilo of drugs a second. And the writing needed for it to work would require a great deal of talent which Disney seems adverse to having more then the bare minimum of.
you mean like star trek they went back to get a whale to save the world lol
@@jimadam6706 That was the first and only episode of Star Trek I saw. I missed out on nothing.
If that ever happened everyone in Hollywood would literally kill them.
I discovered cowboy Bebop, because my ex girlfriend at the time, had a daughter who was obsessed with toonami. After hearing her constantly talk about it, I decided to watch and I was totally stunned by what I watched and heard. Here it is decades, still remembering how much joy watching that gave me I looked forward with participation to what Netflix is going to give us. What they gave us was the animation equivalent to the Concordia disaster
For the Cowboy Bebop the saddest thing is that the actor that played Black was the only one with a sane response to the backlash (paraphrased) "I thought at the time we were making something great and obviously you fans don't like it, hopefully it'll be better the next project I'm a part of" or at least that was the gist that I remember.
Mustafa has class, as expected from the Old Spice guy.
He is a good guy.
That's because he doesn't expect us to just mindlessly cobble up the shit and just be grateful for it. Pretty sure Cho and the chick who played Faye threw plenty of hissy fits to over power his humility, call it a hunch.
He's a good lad
I saw that. It's good to see an actor take the high road and not blame "teh ebil cis whyte istabophobes" for their project's low turnout.
The Japanese adaptations are so interesting to me because they forget to look into the Japanese mindset and why they write the stories the way they do, Netflix and others just think itâs a matter of rewriting the dialog and thatâs it
No: they plan to use something popular as a vehicle for their agenda. 'The Force is female' .... I am not a star wars fan but even I know how stupid that is. They go out of their way to destroy canon and replace it with their agenda. It is deliberate and intentional. They will comb through all the lore just to find a way to corrupt it. Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, ... I know there are more but forget. Nothing past 2000 is canon to me in basically all genres.
It hit me as I was about to hit reply - Terminator!
@quetzalpacheco which one?
I think it goes a little deeper than that. These writers see something they didn't create become culturally relevant so, as narcissists, their first thought is 'we want to be popular too'. The source material is secondary to their own feelings of inadequacy hence the self-insert character model synonymous with "reimaginings".
It's not that they forgot "the Japanese mindset". It's that they're way too involved in their Hollywood one. A culture of self-obsession, insecurity, and jealousy.
@@kotasake The live action crap.
@@wlg2677 I didn't know that existed
The ONE interesting plotpoint that Kenobi had - and failed to execute on - was Obi-wan dealing with the collapse of everything he knew.
The Republic was ruled by a Sith
His friend and apprentice was now the apprentice of that Sith
The Jedi Order was all but eradicated
He himself a fugitive in hiding.
What did Disney do with it? They send him on hijinks to save a little girl who had no right being alone, with character development that flew in the face of the stories that came before and after.
You're right, but that would have made the story about him. The intent was to use Obi-Wan as a catfish to tell a story about two women.
ââ@@rdkirk3834 "You have one job to do, and you blew it! Obi-Wan!"
The last episode and the flashback were good though.
Everything Gundam is saying about us millennials watching cowboy bebop on toonami rings so true. It WAS an experience. It DID change me as a person at a very pivotal age. There are a lot of great anime from that Era, but cowboy bebop is exceptional.
Yessir Spirited Away got me into anime, Trigun made me respect it, Cowboy Bepop and Ghost in the Shell did alter my appreciation for story telling in anime.
âYouâll never know true power, until youâve tasted the testicles of a man who has wronged you.â -An actual line from Netflix Bepop
Youâre fucking with us right?! Right!???
Omg. đđ
Excuse me đ
Seriously? đ€Šââïž
Who...who really though "yeah, that's actually a great line, let's put that in the show!"?
I love when Watanabe said: "I will punch Christopher Yost in the face next time I see him!" Sir, if you ever read this, Cowboy Bebop was a work of art and what Netflix did was a crime.
Hear, hear. *raps tabletop*
I don't understand why people care. It's just a bad fan fiction. So what if Netflix or some other company dumped a ton of money into it and wants you to care about it like you did the actual thing it's based off of? Is that really all it takes for you to treat something like canon?
@@TaddiestMason Oh, so you wouldn't have an issue with someone going into an art museum and spray painting a dong on georgia o'keeffe paintings? They bought the brand, made an abomination out of it, fought to keep it that way in the name of "updating outdated ideas", and possible damaged that IP forever. Tons of people grew up with Cowboy bebop, it was an amazing show, and when you alter something from peoples childhood it makes them... Unhappy as Mindy Kaling is finding out.
@@tomb3782 > Oh, so you wouldn't have an issue with someone going into an art museum and spray painting a dong on georgia o'keeffe paintings?
You would, but your analogue breaks down. No one did anything to either the original series or film. They are as good as ever. Now if someone redrew one of the Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings very-very badly, then drew a dong on it? I wouldn't care about it really. At all.
@@Reriiru They may as well have re-done the older cowboy bebop show, because whenever you watch the original anima with anyone the first thing they say is "Man, this is way better than the Netflix show" and we will be doomed to hear and/or think it till everyone forgets about it. My point is: the idea of a good TV show/art is soured by people feeling a need to redo history are censoring it. Also, most paintings in Museums are recreations of the original and put on display. So yes, my point/example still stands, sir.
I didn't realize in the Velma show that Mindy made Velma so much about her herself as if she's trying to reflect how she wants everybody in the world to love Mindy the way everybody loved Velma. Like some of the man channels I watch, it's all about attention and validation
That's pretty much the modern Left in a nutshell
Still do have Cowboy Bebop songs on my playlist.
Blue, Rain, Space Lion.
My favorite scene from obiwan was when the supposed 10 year old leia, with a toddlers body, was able to easily escape a Jedi master as if he didnât exist
for me it was watching her turn and run, and the idiot in the background giving her a few seconds head start, only to startle hop and follow her. Terrible. Just terrible. The acting was atrocious, and someone looked at that and said to themselves "oh yeah, that was the take." LOLOLOLOL
Oh, and I didn't bother watching it bc everything is fake and gay now.
"But him no have duh forces no mores. So him cant run good none." - Modern audience, Modern Star Wars Apologist
She was still in diapers. Also, don't forget about the foot chase with Flee. Who was stopped by a branch.
Reminds me of Star Brat in Mass Effect 3.
If she was 10 then there was only 6 years separating bitter divorcee Obi Wan from Wise Noble Teacher Obi Wan. I mean they do realize Leia was 16 in a New Hope?
Gundam really does deserve his own show. I wanna see what he can do.
He would get canceled/shut down in his first episode because he would bring to much reality for these dumb bots nowadays
He certainly would struggle to read a script, he gets about 70% of his quotes correct.
@Rob Neeth where are those videos? I've researched that thanksgiving episode a dozen times that shit was so hilarious.
Bless you
â@@cwad737I thought about that too lol crowder is gathering all kinds of people, not just political type creators like himself. I think Gundam would be the perfect person to cover the pop culture side of things. That would be so awesome lol
I remember seeing Cowboy Bebop as a child on Toonami and thinking it'd be amazing to see in real life. Then when I heard about it getting a live action I was excited, for two seconds until I saw who owned the show, and then I figured I let you take the hit and if you liked THEN I'd watch it.
Thanks for the shoutout, Mr. Gundam!
One of the guys from nerdrotic was right when he said âwe need the kind of visionary who will yell at you for trying to mess with his vision.â
If someone tried to mess with my stories and especially the characters I would sooner close the studio and burn it down rather than let someone bastardize it. I would rather see it gone than ruined.
Theyâll probably be Japanese. Iirc, after the disastrous âeditsâ of Tales of the Earthsea by Disney, a Studio Ghibli property they were looking for an international distributor, Miyazaki literally sent the CEO a katana inscribed with âno cutsâ on it.
And, since then, Disney hadnât cut any single scene from the movies - even if their localization dialogue can be rough at times.
Note: to the CEO of Disney when they were in their peak period of boundless goodwill.
You need people to stop caring about the fan fictions companies are dumping tons of money into. If you stopped caring and/or covering it. They'd stop making it. Nerdrotic and that whole gang help ensure more of these bad fan fictions when they drum up interest in the products and get people to hate watch it with them. The companies will never care why you watch their stuff-they just care that you do. And Nerdrotic and the crew have nothing else going for them so if they can't rage out about crappy fan fic movies and tv shows based on IPs they like, they wouldn't have any content to collect superchats and ad revenue from.
I feel like those guys are just as bad as the studios making these crappy products because the Nerdrotic crew needs people to be as upset and engaged with it as they are or the Nerdrotic crew goes the way of these companies and starts losing money and viewers too.
*I CAN 100% SEE HIDEO KOJIMA BURNING A STUDIO TO THE GROUND WITH A GAS CAN BECAUSE THEY BADLY ADAPTED THE METAL GEAR SAGA INTO A SHITTY CASH GRAB FLOP, and you can too*
When I think of the trope of the misunderstood, brooding, eccentric but tolerated because of their talented brilliance director, Kojima is my first thought. And that's a great thing, because he seems, apparently, if Death Stranding is any indication, to have carte blanche to make any crazy vision he has become reality, and it's oddly entertaining. Shit, the entire MGS franchise made me start questioning politics and our leaders, and turns out some shit in reality IS HAPPENING that's even crazier than anything Liquid Snake or Big Boss ever tried.

Xenogears, One of my most favorite stories written for a video game, was co wrote by a woman, Soraya Saga along with her husband.
The only silver lining with these recent shows/movies that more people are finally catching on to WHY they usually turn out so bad. The focus on diversity and representation often times means they spent less time and effort on the important stuff like writing a good story or interesting characters.

My best friend who hated the Disney Star Wars movies was deluding himself into liking Obi-Wan T.V. series. He just wanted to love Star Wars again, even if it was a skin suit... RIP to Lance Riddick. You know what character he could have play perfectly in a Resident Evil film, Tyrell who was Carlos Oliveira's partner in Resident Evil 3.

ââ@@honkworld9405ate to be that guy, but the eugenics programme conducted by Spencer in the RE games was never about real world "white supremacy." It states in the in-game files emphatically that the Wesker children were selected from exceptional parents _of all nationalities,_ and Spencer says quite clearly that it's the entire human species that's an abomination in his eyes, his hypothetical master race wouldn't have even looked human. And at least one of the Wesker children was Asian. Woke journivists just like to pretend the Resident Evil series was taking some sort of stance on contemporary race politics despite being one of the most racially color blind and apolitical game franchises in existence. Also hilarious that back in the day those same journivists were trying to convince everyone that particular RE game - 5 - was somehow racist.
Still utterly stupid to make Wesker black, mind you.
I always thought he would've been a great choice to play Hammond in a live action Dead Space.

So I just go back and watch and rewatch. I reckon entertainment for entertainment sake ended around 2014, and I want nothing to do with 99.9% of everything after.
@Jay Biz Retro Corner totally... I'd rather hear about a great show for years and go back and check it out than watch something terrible... or even something great that falls apart (GOT was nothing but a waste of time for me)!!!
If any of you like space Sci fi I recommend Farscape, probably the most underrated Sci fi show of all time (that Guardians of the Galaxy owes a _lot_ to).
OMG! Kudos for using a snip from Mother by the Veronicas. I was such a big fan of them back in the day.
Lance punching the desk reminded me of when Zavala did the same in Witch Queen. R.I.P Commanderđ«Ą
I accept MeatCanyon's explaination of Velma as canon. Only because I get to watch velma be destroyed lol
That one-man star wars anime is badass and should be mentionable.
5:25
Thanks for reminding me to rewatch that Gundam.
That star wars tie fighter short by otaking777 is one of my favorite things I've ever seen. No dialogue. None needed. It tells a better story in its short run time than an entire trilogy from disney.
Actually Alita battle Angel was pretty faithful to manga they had to skip some parts cause it was like an hour or something long.
Calling it now: Velma, High Guardian Spice, She-Hulk, Rings of Power, and⊠âFree Spaceâ.
Edit: Well, 2/4 ainât terrible.
Not even the creators of High Guardian Spice remember that show.
LOL heading for a dystopian nightmare??? Dude we're already there!
I just realized that the dumb twerking scene at the end of one of the She-Hulk episodes, that I remember criticism that if they wanted to do that, they should have saved it for the end of the season.
Grandy took that advice and did it for the end of season 1 of Velma!
So these people DO listen but only to what they want to hear.
That tie fighter animation will always be sick. SW Visions was solid. Disney must embrace the anime before it's too late!
Wow he scared Andre? You know that was not in the script. Rest in power man.
Great Video! But man. 17:39 got me dying.
great points as always...but i absolutely loved wong and madisynn
Donât forget that season 2 of Velma is/was supposed to introduce ScoobyâŠby way of being a random black woman whose nickname is âScoob.â
Are you serious
Rest in power, Lance Reddick. It sucks that one of his later works was on that tud from Netflix.
Gundam brother, you really hit the nail with such selection. Western entertainment really lost itself in the political nonsense. "The Message" was spread all over and guess what? People either hated or ignored by how awful it was. Again, we look at the East for a better experience in entertainment, the fun and though provoking one.
Thanks for another great video, Gundam man! XD
Luckily we have John Wick 4 as his send off
>rest in power
Cringe
â@@NicofTime... how is that cringe?
@@NicofTime... hush
@@audreyharris7643 it's rest in peace, the power version is woke cringe
I don't watch any new star wars shows or movies but watching that star wars fan made mini is enough for me
Watching that RE dialogue makes me appreciate the voice acting in the first two games
That desk needs a cast.
Oh and you subjected me to such torture watching those clips but the delivery of your help made it delicious of course đđ
We need a war to remind people how easy they have it
...soon.
Pacific island hopping against CCP fortified positions.
This video contains more footage of each individual show than I'd seen so far.
Also, the plural of anime is anime.
Gundam bro, I'm happy for you. Don't overthink anything, you deserved it. All the best man.
youre gonna carry that weight bebop and Champloo are still fucking gold standards in anime
Cowboy Bebop changed me too. I would stay up late as a 12 year old, sneaking into the living room to watch toonami while my parents slept.
11:23 hey, come on, give Tatiana some credit. Sure, it wasn't a really well known series, but she was pretty good in Orphan Black, a sci-fi drama series where she played several clones of herself trying to find a way to hide from the company that made her. You need to have some pretty good acting chops to be able to play several different characters in the same series, so she can act well when given the right script
Orphan Black was good and Tatiana was good in it.
@@sabin26 Agree with you both. It was a solid show and she was pretty talented to play so many different characters.
And characters pretending to be other characters.
Yeah, Orphan Black was really good! Definitely showed she can act, but only when the writing isnât as shit as She-HulkâŠ
And, like so many talented actors, she sides with a lot of lefty nonsense, and can't stop herself from going public with opinions that insults fans. It's challenging to look beyond what these people say to appreciate their work.
This is the reason why i watch your content. The warnings to respect IP's and actually try to be creative and original. I'm hoping A24 takes my ideas before Disney and Netflix try to strong arm me into a black while of mediocrity.
Never stop being real, because we are in a world too scared to tell the truth for what it is. I'm encouraged to continue thinking for myself and trust my gut.
Good episode as usual.
As Jewish guy who knows Jeet Kune Do and used to smoke, the ONE time Iâm represented in media and Netflix recasts him as an Asian guy. The creator even specifically said he gave Spike the last name Spiegel to emphasize he was Jewish. Smh. I canât win, lol.
