    Thank you! The coat is stunning. You are classy, professional and highly skilled.
    I'm so tired of women pretending they know how to sew. They act all cutsey and jokey and have no sewing skills and put up a sewing channel that will totally confuse new sewists.

    i wasn't able to leave a review for it because there was no etsy account connected to the purchase but i made your "bond girl" dress for my mom! she loves it and wears it to all of her conferences now! i had to do it a little differently because i chose a very sheer fabric so the lining would be super visible, i ended up binding the neck and armholes and omitting the lining so it's just worn with a slip. really nice pattern! i ended up using a flowy chiffon - type fabric and even with cutting it on the bias it worked out! thanks for all your videos, i always learn something!

    Aahhh, it is lovely. I do not seem to wear anything that warm post menopause. But in my twenties to forties, I would have absolutely worn it.

    I love the puffy sleeves on this very lovely statement piece. I can also seeing less puff for it done in a less formal fabric. If you need an extra layer for warmth, you will need a cape! A beautiful plaid would be perfect!

The color is so gorgeous and of course you always find the perfect background to photograph it against!! I love the puffy sleeves and it's such a great figure flattering style! Great job🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    Recently I needed to repair my rain jacket. I encountered the little pieces of fabric to secure the lining around the armseye. I noted it for future use. The few patterns I have used to make blazers did not feature that.

    Gorgeous dress coat!! I am working towards having the skill to make this. I was wondering how you prepare wool fabric like this before sewing since it can’t be washed in the washing machine. Do you just steam it with the iron to preshrink it?

    • @lilolmecj
      @lilolmecj Před 8 měsíci

      You need to prepare it the way you will care for it. So send it to the dry cleaners if you will be dry cleaning. Wool ( most of it, always protest) can tolerate hand washing in cold water, limit agitation, and hang to dry. With wool, where you run into trouble is with warm water and friction. That results in felting. Alternatively you can seek out a 75% wool and 25% wool blend, then it has much more durability for washing, cold water on gentle cycle, air dry hanging.
