- Super stoked on the protection & enhancement we were able to provide on this beautiful Red Multi-Coat Tesla Model X! As with all cars that come through our shop... we first: wash, decontaminate, clay, & polish the exterior of the car - This removes all defects and contamination and also brings out the maximum amount of gloss.
We then installed XPEL Paint Protection Film for 10 years of protection against things like rock chips, scratches, and as featured in this video... door dings! YES, paint protection film can save your car from minor impact damage such as door dings! I think it's misleading to say that you don't get door dings. I've seen (and have had myself) door dings despite the PPF. But PPF is a great idea either way. Saved from a lot of micro-scratches and swirls from washing and daily wear and tear, particularly on Tesla's with such soft paint.
Great work! How many man hours did it take to complete this wrap?
did you extend the edges all around on the hood?
Hi there, yes we wrap an extra 1/2in around the edges of all sides of the hood!
And what did you charge to do this car?
We usually quote custom protection packages like this anywhere between $1k to $5k (the cost increases depending on the amount of film used and starting condition of the paint) The Paint Protection Film is warrantied for 10 years and the car usually spends about a week with us to get it properly dialed in!
