- In this video I show you step by step how to build a handheld portable train air horn!
It's super easy and fun build, simply uses a drill for power and housing, budget friendly with the horn kit only $30'ish on Amazon. This horn blasts SUPER loud, with an "unlimited tank" with rechargeable 18V batteries.

The title is a bit misleading. Horn kit $30, drill $100, battery $100. Even if you already had the drill and battery you still bought the drill and battery at one point. Cool AF either way!
cool. but why not just make your own platform for it instead of a $60 drill that is wasted
Use the Harbor freight drill and flashlight kit made from Warrior for $20 use the flashlight for an ooga horn and the drill 4 train horn.... I have made over a dozen each for my friends and everybody in my family do not spend more than what you need 12 Is volts 1.3 amps perfect for all that
So if you have a drill you don't need at all it's $30 plus tax otherwise it's $90.
No way is that an “ old drill you found lying around “
That's nothing one time my dad pulled out one from the railroad and set it off you could hear it for miles.
It ain’t that loud anyways. I little louder that a stock pickup truck horn.
would be great to take with you on a camping trip as a deterent to wild carnivores, such as cougars, and bears, and coyotes.
his incessant talking it so grating to my ears... It's like, dude, you don't have to fill every second with your words!
You should probably list all those other things you used that WERENT MENTIONED
Just built one using a Craftsman work light that came in a package with a drill and a saw. Never used it. I bought the horn kit online and used a tomato paste can as the compressor “holder” because the work light was just the grip and switch after removing the lens. I got one end open and left the bottom on through which I mounted the can to the switch body with four flathead self tapping screws. I extended the wires with and add on splice and fed them through a 1/4” hole I drilled in the can. A couple crimped on connectors hooked to the compressor, mounted the horns attached to the furnished bracket and mated to the can body with a large hose clamp. Where the compressor extended out from the can I used black duct tape wrapped once around to keep it from sliding out. Worked great and looks good too, lol! I taped off the surfaces I didn’t want painted and shot the whole mess with flat black paint. It looks like something from Death Race 2000!
YEA FINALLY A VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR THIS 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just did mine SOOOOOO EASY for me to do game day. It's On.
“Fucksable hose” 😂😂😂
The reason for those different tones is because there is too much air going to the diaphragm an therefore you need to slightly limit the air or remove a spacer in the diaphragm. this is a trial and error so just keep testing it until it sticks to the main tone

With friends like you who needs enemies??? 😁
I mean, it is a very time consuming process to grind the housing to fit, but I would't recommend to heat the plastic to make it soft. Depending on the used polymers it could release some unhealthy fumes...
AWESOME!!!
Fanstastic work 👏👌 thanks my friend👍👍
