Everyone is saying “you need conical wheels” but the real answer is that you need both conical and flanged.
If you look up images of train wheels you will see that they are slightly conical as they are the optimal shape for self steering on tracks, then they have flanges to keep them from derailing on sharper turns

Im sure if you show up with a decent bottle of whiskey im sure someone could hook ya up. They run about $1,3000 CAD brand new. So maybe a couple bottles. Scrap yards maybe? Well, your comment provided a quick bit of self-shock therapy for me. I read your post and was like, "ppft, why does this guy have TWO girlfriends. " I don't know if it was jealousy or anger at the idea. 10 seconds later, I realized the nonsense of it all and y'all were just some ladies hiking... I though the whole experience was interesting, so a few sentences up, I decided to start telling this whole little adventure, that happened right here. On this very CZcams video, in the comments, under a post by @intotheether3803, where she was detailing an account of hiking on a 100+ degree weather that day day. Her post was followed by some laughter at the memory and nostalgia, before being left to be found 2 weeks later, by some gentleman thinking that her post was a humble brag / blatant lie about have 2 girlfriends and/ or hiking. I was that very same gentleman. I decided to turn the whole ordeal into a creative writing assignment to offset and hopefully correct whatever strange response that was initially incited by an innocent memory. One holding a trove of happy experience, despite taking place in a 100+ degree weather that day day.
On a side note, in another book, yet to be written of wants and adventures. I want a train trail cart also. It's a great idea, and I hope it materializes in my future reality.

@@kennethschultz6465 The wheels of a train are conical. If you ever see a wine barrel rolling down 2 rails it keeps itself centered because the ends of the barrel are conical. When a train goes around corners the wheel on the outside of the curve rides on a larger diameter than the wheel on the onside helping the train turn. If you look at most race cars that compete on an oval track you will see that the tires on one side (the right side in America) are larger than the wheels on the other side helping the car turn. There should be CZcams videos about this.

For those of you who are interested this is the former San Diego and Arizona Railroad or otherwise known as “the impossible railroad”. It got this nickname from how hard it was to build the line. The railroad almost pretty much lost all of its presence when the southern pacific (who owned it at the time) started dieselizing it’s roster and fading out the steam locomotives. The line was abandoned in the 70s by the sp and to my knowledge it’s been pretty much dormant ever since The SP abandoned it in. Not much survives of this railroad par a 2-8-0 consolidation #104 (which is in terrible condition), a few railcars, and Southern pacific 4-6-0 #2353 which, while not owned by the sd&a, frequently operated on the stretch of line. If you want more there’s wiki articles and some well done books about its history on Amazon.
I would write more but writing a CZcams comment on a phone is incredibly hard when you have to go back and forth between sentences.

Then yes conical wheels would have helped a lot which could be done in about 30 minutes on a lathe.
What made me laugh was thinking you need cell service to use GPS also maybe having a real map and some supplies maybe a tent and camp out or just in case you get stuck.
