- The 2023 Range Rover Sport is finally here, and it's ready to shake up the Large SUV segment, with German heavyweights like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE firmly in its sights.
Entering a new generation brings high expectations for the Range Rover Sport, which has found legions of fans in its previous iterations. But it's looking to rise to the occasion yet again, this time with futuristic design inside and out, cutting-edge technology and advanced powertrains.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Andrew Chesterton spends a week with the new Range Rover Sport's P510e Dynamic HSE plug-in hybrid flagship to see if it has reset the benchmark for its class.

Lovely l wil buy it next year❤
❤ Very nice
Having the 2 different types of drive systems is great. At least one of them will get you to a safe spot to wait for the tow truck. Have just completed 4,500klm's in our Subaru XV, Syd to Broken Hill, and amazed at what an all round package this little car is. During this, we only saw 3 newish RR Sports, all uncrashed and sitting on tow trucks, no lie, absolute truth.
Subie xv is at opposite end of the market- it is a cheaply made suburu marketed to singles/couples. They have had a lot of issues actually, built very light duty compared to even a subaru outback.

What I am saying is that the little XV did the whole trip, high speed highway and rutted back roads, through sand, over rocky desert roads, climbed hills, etc and came back. On this nearly month away we saw 3 near new Range Rover Sports on the back of tow trucks. All had broken down. In Silverton another had got bogged and an old Landcruiser had to come to pull it out. That’s why the mention of the XV. They go there and come back on their own.
I need one of this ❤
Why would you not review the boot space?
230 K ? .... I'll sit up and take notice when JLR have enough confidence in their product to offer at least an unconditional 7 year warranty..until then they will forever be at the end of the list when it comes to reliability.
My 2021 Mercedes GLE 350de hybrid is a better and a less expensive alternative …I owned the previous model Range Rover sport from new in 2016 and was plagued with annoying issues, but after 18000 miles in the GLE have not had any problems so far…also getting 50miles per gallon with a 55 mile electric range!
Great car! Seems RR have already changed their model line up and the 510e retired? Looks like 460e is replacement amidst a whole bunch of diesels dumped on Aussie market. Not great customer focus by RR with very poor line up… great car though! BTW I put down $1000 deposit in May 2022 and still waiting for a build slot really? I’m about to jump ship to MY24 Cayenne Hybrid…
Can't believe the Japanese haven't even done major facelifts like this to there cars and there cars have been around longer !
You can wax on about the hvac controls but RR has now done away with them on both sport and full size, and replaced the panel with a weird slab of piano black plastic
Defender looks much better

I love my Range rovers….but this surely has to be a cynical marketing exercise to wave the eco flag for wunna be warriors. It is what it is, and should embrace it, but instead seems to try and pander to the ‘movement’. My 2016 4.4 tdi easily betters that fuel so no 10.0 is NOT good.
Toyota get 45mpg in a mini van hybrid with no plug in
More likely to see it on a tilt truck or the engine light on…. Zero support offered by JLR Australia…. For those with more money than senses only… buy a BMW or Lexus…they’ll support you!
Lexus instead of a RR you gotta be kidding me
