- Neymar Jr was stretchered off late in PSG's Lique 1 match against Lyon after suffering a brutal ankle injury. In this video we'll review the injury footage and mechanism, then discuss the important anatomy and how an injury like this occurs. Neymar Jr could certainly miss an extended period of time with this injury and we will have to hope the damage is not too severe to the star football players ankle.

I could tell this was a high ankle sprain right away. This channel has thought me so much about immediately knowing and diagnosing injuries during games(as a spectator of course).

That was basically a knockout. If he reacted to that kind of stuff, he’d have to react to every single MMA and Boxing Knockout, too. Not that unusual or interesting of an occurrence, you just rarely see it in football.

@@cuntdestroyerr69 I've seen the video. You're right, the way he fell to the ground was interesting, but I still wouldn't consider it a special kind of "injury". It's a concussion and the main reason it looked "spectacular", if you will, is because football fans aren't used to seeing knockouts and concussions like that.

Not sure if you’ll see this but I had an ankle sprain a few weeks ago at least that was what it was diagnosed as. When you talk about that tissue in your leg in a high ankle sprain can that tissue cause like sharp stabbing pains every once in awhile?

Dear sir, I had fifth meta tarsal base fracture in my right leg, after that Dr. Had put cast for one and a half month and than removed it. After removing cast my ankle got swelled, I can walk but not more, my thumb and fingers base are paining, my ankle heel is paining, I can't walk easily, I am limping, swelling on both side of ankle, its 5 days over of my cast removal, , one more thing my injured leg calf muscles are very loose as compared to right calf, please guide, I am from india

How often are the deltoid ligaments injured in an injury of this nature? I know the number of ligaments distribute that stress, but I'm just curious.
Depends of the sport, if the deltoids are trained and how much the person does that sport. For example, I started doing basketball just recently and I have injured the same ankle three times on a three month period.
