Lobster Boat Racing on Long Island, Maine

This film lay dormant for 2 years, but here is the premier of "Paradise for Pioneers" - shot on Long Island's lobster-boat racing day in 2017. A fantastic way to "enjoy" the lobster fisherman culture, what better way than with "souped-up boat races" - the best,
as the hobby ties in perfectly with the fishing of the lobsters, you have to "get there quickly", you have to "change the
lobster pots", you have to "change fishing grounds quickly", and most importantly, you have to "get the lobsters back
to shore quickly" to have them as fresh as possible. What does the winner of the lobsters boat race receive as a prize?
The winner gets the keys to the CITY..... BABY.

LI is supposed to host the races Aug. 15, and if they do I will be there. Personally, I like LI best in the fall. Super tranquil instead of just tranquil, haha.

Roger McCord I hope they still host them this year. I was lucky enough to get to spend some decent time on that island with my godfather all times of the year. Was my favorite place to escape to when I was in college.
