@@knightrider693 - Flattening the curve basically means stretching out the bell curve start and end points. So something that normally would run its course in 3 months naturally, not may take 6 months to a year. The concept of flattening the curve is more about healthcare capacity and lowering the peak of the the bell curve below that line. This is not a bad thing. If we go beyond that threshold, then we end up overrunning our medical systems and healthcare professionals get picked off one by one. Italy and Spain re are great example of what happens when you cross that threshold. Doctors get sick.Nurse get sick. That medical capacity line drops lower as a result. That's a feedback loop. So I totally get what "Flattening the curve" about , but most people think it's winning this war. It's just buying time. The problem is how long can people stay isolated before the economics and mental stress get to a boiling point.
I don’t want to sound pessimistic; we are doing an “okay” job at social distancing and self-isolation. But, it’s clear the BC Health Authorities (or other govt entity) is manipulating the numbers. How is it possible that only 16 new cases were experienced on Sunday? Also, how convenient that for three days of this week the range of positive tests were 74-77? Seems a little fishy to me. Actually, the lower the numbers begin to appear the more complacent the citizens become and then the outbreak carries on longer than needed resulting in more ill people. Love to all those being considerate to our community neighbours
