That wild you're getting that kind of range with a 1w vtx. I have the foxeer reaper extreme 2.5w But have only been running it on 1.5w what antenna are you using on your goggles ? Also have you seen the foxeer 5w vtx ? Talk about some serious power.

I use a DIY 7 turn helical on my analog goggles for great range and just an iflight patch on my DJI V2 goggles. What 5W?! crazy, might melt your frame, lol... I've never used more 800mw to get a nice clear long range video signal. I personally think it's mostly marketing.
3 or 4 years ago I used to fly long range 5.5km out with an $18 eachine TX805 VTX. It's all about the antennas!

A 2812 stator will be tall and lift the propellers up closer to the battery. You'll need to be careful how you mount bigger long batteries (like 6500mah 6s or 6s2p 21700). The standard GNB 4200 size should be fine with 30mm standoffs. I would suggest 30mm standoffs, or if the props are too close to the battery then maybe 35mm standoffs. Or instead of longer standoffs you could stand your li-ion pack on edge at the back.
