- If you're into cinematic or long range FPV and your flights are focused on GoPro footage, then you'll want to check out the Falcon RPM 7.5" frame. I wanted to open up some different possibilities and try to inspire others to get more creative with the way they capture their GoPro footage. Of course the frame will accommodate the DJI 03 air unit, analog, HDZero and more...

I always enjoy the slow and midspeed low flyovers, waterfallchases and near treetop flights. This guy is a true artist with a real sense for nature.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Dude your the long range Cinematic KING!!! Love all what you do buddy! Cheers! And Hi Banister Post!
Hey, thanks!
LOOKS SOLID
Another amazing frame. Im still lovin the Falcon 7. Just did some boat chasing with it and it flys like a champ!!!!!!
Nice 👍 Glad to hear it!
Another piece of art, your are a goldsmith ! Thank you for this new frame 🙏
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow, this is really well designed frame!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
amazing!!!
That frame is looking amazing, Falcon!! I have been asking you a few questions from other account, finally going in more in form into the hobby. Thinking of making Falcon Scout my first build! Thank you for inspiring and all your work man, you are definitely one of the reasons I'm so inspired by FPV
Awesome, thank you!
Learning as much as I can. I appreciate you :)
You do rlly good work man
Truly amazing shots, and a great quad! Well done all around, cheers!👍👍👍
Thanks a lot!
Looks great. Good work.
Thanks!
Excellent stuff once again.
Thank you! Cheers!
Just got mine flying and flys great!
Great, glad to hear it!
So now time for 8-10" frame :D
8" be great. I'm running a crappy 8" it's a modded 7" to run 8". 10" be great. Rekon10 battery plate too small. And XL10 v6 has props in view. He could totally do it right.
Conrad, this new frame is awesome, really slick!. Sorry I dropped off the face of the map and ghosted you for a while. I want to rather than send you some spare parts, I want to build you a flat arm rig so that way I’m sure you will fly it and probably like it , after years of freestyle 5 inch, I still can’t get away from the specialness of the flat arms, the resistance that they generate ,and how it changes the flight 👍Be in touch soon. Joe
Hey Joe, I wonder if it's similar to the difference between 5 and 5.5. I really find 5.5 easier to fly than 5" for some reason. The closest thing I've tried for flatter wide arms is my old martian frame from years ago. Sounds like I should give it a try.
WOW absolutely amazing footage and new frame, I did not need to see this tho lol!
Brilliant design, dude! And fantastic flying!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks so much, you too!
Great vid as usual. The ~10 second clip that starts are 3:07 where you can see the valley below and the cliff looked great!
Thanks 👍
It would be Sweet to come out to spend a couple days flying with You.. I think even Tim would get into something like that
For sure! I can’t wait for you to try the Skyliner with the flat arms, I’m gonna build you up a Nice one like how I do mine, and get it out to you! later buddy👍
Thanks Joe, that would be great!
I just ordered the frame. Cant wait to build it. Will fly it with Blackmagic G2 camera, can you suggest motors or 2808/2810 will be fine?
Neat looking frame, have you done much long range on it? Would be good to see a comparison between this and the Falcon 7. The one down side I've found with the Falcon 7 is it gets a bit clunky on sharp turns, you really have to up the throttle and be fairly smooth on the pitch and roll. Otherwise its my favourite frame. Also have you tested the difference between a XT60 and XT90? I run XT90 on mine. Plus those 1500kv motors would be wild on the 7.5" props, I run 1500kv on my lightweight 7" and its ridiculous for what it is. Anyway keep up the good work I absolutely love it 👍
The Falcon 7 gets a bit better efficiency due to a lighter weight as well as less drag from the frame in the air. The Falcon RPM trades that efficiency loss for better resonance performance (even with 7.5" props!) and several different GoPro mounting options. The Falcon 7 is great for smooth wide cinematic turns due to the deadcat arms, to me the Falcon RPM feels more comfortable turning aggressively with the different arm layout. The Falcon 7 is best for cruising a ridgeline 4 to 6 km out. But if I don't need quite so much range (say going 1.5 to 2km out) then I'll put a 3000 mAh lipo on the Falcon RPM for the flight. And I can record wide and linear versions at the same time with the extra GoPro mount. Or have and extra GoPro in the rear mount to get chase footage as well during the flight. So all those options and some extra weight to get the improved resonance make the Falcon RPM no match for the Falcon 7 when it comes to range. I see them being used for different things. So that's my preference's with flying the two Falcon frames. All that said, in testing it, I flew the Falcon RPM out diving mountains on 14km round trip flights, I just used 2 x 6s 21700 4200 mAh batteries instead of the usual 2 x 6s 18650 2800 mAh ones that the Falcon 7 would use for the same flight.
i just ordered the frame and am picking out my parts for it now. I was hoping to use the new AOS supernova 2807 1400KV motors, but it seems like many are choosing 3008 motors instead. Do you think it would still do fine using regular 7inch motors like i mentioned? or could that cause efficiency issues maybe? also, i'm planning to use this as a build to chase cars, motorcross, etc, so it needs to be able to accelerate pretty quickly as opposed to focusing on longrange.
Love it. Banging it out of the park! It sounds like you sell this as a kit?
Yes check out the description, there's a link to the frame there.
hi today I bought this frame, I really liked it.
there is one question
could you install the old dji unit? not o3
Sorry for the late reply! I guess you have it now and already know. There is lot's of room for any kind of air unit of VTX in the back, I think the max size would be about 55mm X 45mm.
Hello again Falcon do you have TPU file hero 10 or 11 for rare mounting ?
Sorry about the late response. Email me at falconradfpv@gmail.com. I'll get one made up and attach it to my email response as soon as I can. (I'm working on it right now)
hi, nice build. Can you please give a deeper explanation about the radio link antenna on the back of your quad. Why do you use a sma connector, is it a 3D printed part? Thanks in advance!
I used to use a .ufl bardpole but It was hard to transport multiple quads with the antennas sticking out. Now I put an SMA connector on most of my builds and then use either an SMA version of a bardpole or dipole that I make myself. The GPS and SMA mount at the back of the quad is 3D printed using TPU
Looks sweet gj man.. couple q's on the gear you use.. for the rx CF ? is that a bardpole and Imortal T ? Also for the DJI AU what antennas you using there ? I went with TBS triumph pro LR but was looking at TrueRC singularity..
Yes crossfire on all my quads. I have an imortal T on the front of every LR quad. On the back I have either a bardpole or a DIY dipole. I always use a TrueRC singularity on every quad so my 03 air unit has a pair of those on some .ufl to SMA extensions.
@@FalconRadFPV yeah for the TBS Triumph LR antennas for 03 au I had to use SMA > UFL adapter cable also.. keep ip the good work m8 👍
If i don't need multiple go pro mounts, is this still a better option than the falcon 7??
Ya go for the Falcon RPM, this newer design performs better than the older AOS Falcon 7.
Which is your tx and how you set it for LR? Inav or BF?
I'm using a crossfire module in the back of my TX. Just the nano version, usually set to 500mW. I use BF for my firmware.
you managed to get consistent results on the o3? i hate the incredilbe delay on the sigal recovery.
That's my biggest issue with the 03 as well. I only fly the 03 long range if I've flown it with analog first to learn where I get line of sight properly. Because of fear of the delay in signal recovery.
love the montage in the beginning!
Random question: I heard that you live in Canada - Have you ever seen a Grizzly Bear? 😁
I saw one that was bigger than a black bear not sure if it was a brown bear or a grizzly. There are not many around, unless you are WAY out away from any people or buildings. Hardly ever even see black bears out on the logging roads.
Why 7.5 and not 8 incher?
How was the tuning for this setup? 1 gopro 10 in the front and another in the back? I have your Falco rad-ion. 😅
I didn't re-tune it for the second GoPro, but generally adding more weight means usually just using the PID master slider. Maybe a little more of an adjustment to pitch than roll since the GoPro's are mounted front and back.
Would you recommend the T-motor velox 2812 1155kv for 8-10km flights? I carry 8000mah 6s2p on 7546 props.
For this frame I would recommend the 3008 1155kv motors. The shorter stator is better suited to frame, with the taller stator you'll need longer standoffs to keep the props away from the batteries. But if you want the extra power of the 2812 stator then I think the 30mm standoffs will work, even better if you are using velcro or some sort of battery pad under the battery to lift it slightly more.
@@FalconRadFPV Glad you raised it!
currently props on my 2809 is level with the top plate, a 2812 would certainly strike the 6s li ion packs.
Reason I was considering a larger motor is to spin higher pitched props, I'm of the notion that heavier props would generate the same thrust on lower RPM, thus saving saving energy. Is this true?
thanks again.
I got this quad from CNC drones, I'm curious how you wired it for parallel 6s packs given the fact that it only has a single hard mounted XT60 connector. Thoughts ?
On my Falcon RPM builds I've been using an xt60 Y adapter and plugging them in, in parallel. You could also run a second xt60 from the ESC up to the front of the top plate for the second battery. My thinking is that the bigger cinematic frame (Falcon RPM) will end up using a lipo more often so I've built mine with with the single xt60 plug. But ya, Y adapter works fine with 12g wire or running a second XT60 up front.
@@FalconRadFPV excellent, thank you!!
I ended up removing two of the three press nuts in the frame that hold the second go pro, and slightly dremel’ed the top plate until another hard mounted xt60 could mount up there. Looks almost identical to the rear xt60.
I just ordered the frame. Hopefully it’ll be a solid build. The link in the description for 3d print files isn’t working.
Thanks for your support. And the letting me know about the link, I've fixed it now.
@@FalconRadFPV Just got the frame in the mail today. Can’t wait to build it. And thank you for fixing the link sir. I’ll be posting a build video and flight video of it soon.
@@FalconRadFPVwhat is the pentagon shaped carbon fiber plate used for? It has symmetrical holes.
Is there any option to ship to Europe ?
yes there is shipping to europe. I don't think it's all that expensive.
Sorry again but i can't see any options for shipping to EU(AddictiveRC, CNCDrones)
@@FalconRadFPV . If you have some information please share it !
You mentioned an X-8 frame was in the works...any word on that?
This one took me so long to get through all the details I put aside finishing the X8 version until the quad was done. Now that I'm finished getting the quad version ready the X8 is next. It's basically the same frame as this one , well plates are all the same. But the octo uses thinner arms and adds bracing front and back. The octo actually performs even better than the quad but it is of course a bit heavier.
@@FalconRadFPV Sweet. I'm building a concept octocopter (if you can call it that) out of spare parts I have laying around. My ultimate goal is to mount it with dual hd cams with their own gimbals. One forward facing and one rear.
what a beast. sadly in the US, FAA killed the hobby.
Oh you, it's American. Land of the fees. Get caught pay a fee is all 😂🎉 just don't get caught and your free to fly !! Be smart know the rules and don't let political jargon stop you from doing healthy things you enjoys ❤
Stop talking like that. "killed the hobby" ya right.
All they've told me with RID is that they're so incapable of catching anyone doing anything, that they want us to help them catch us. They'll have an awfully hard time enforcing if we aren't broadcasting a "come get me" signal for them.
@@ductgoosefpv did you know the rules o you yus talking because it's free
@@jaysonrees738 this kind of flight will be no more capable under the new rules. and this is just the beginning.
You do rlly good work man
