This completely defeats the purpose of Ultron and Vision having diametrically opposed births. Glad it was cut.
Yep!
For me this kinda shows that Vision and Ultron has many in common, but opposite feeling to humanity. Which also showed in the ending dialogue of Vision and last copy of Ultron. So in my opinion the scene is great, but redundant.
I think the scene is okay, but goes on a bit long. I knew this when Thor called for his hammer TWICE after it was knocked away
I guess that they wanted a scene to demonstrate Vision's powers in his first scene, but we see all of them (phasing, flight, super strength, lasers, shapeshifting) in the battle of Sokovia anyway. So yeah, redundant.
agreed - i liked the version that was kept better than this. It better suits why they were ready to trust him so quickly. If Vision fought the Avengers from birth they'd very much be on edge the whole way through, lifting the hammer be damned. The original makes it seem his leap towards thor was less him "attacking" and more him trying to get to the window to begin with. That immediately leading him to observe life then speak to the team (and then finally lift the hammer) made it easier to trust he was on their side vs a mini fight.

I like the scene better how it turned out, more like a frightened and bewildered newborn, rather than some crazy fighting machine right outta the box

Agreed
Yeah thats true
U right
Yeah they didn't need this scene, thinking about the whole scene in general It flows better for Vision to not be innately violent, to begin with. Also having his power set revealed later is so much more fun than all at once here.
Yes Vis was peaceful unlike Ultron, and also banner couldn’t control himself easy at all. So this scene needed to be cut out.
I agree that Vision isn’t innately violent, but I’m pretty sure that they only put this in to showcase his abilities before throwing him into a battle with a couple hundred thousand robots with your average movie goer not knowing what the hell his powers are. Plus, pretty cool.
I’m glad they redid this scene. There is way too much fighting for a scene that’s supposed to be very vulnerable
And CZcams recomends me after watching Endgame 😑😑😑

True
@@ashlapotumas Wow, what a load of nonsense.
Looked pretty even to me
@@ashlapotumas it's nonsense
@@ashlapotumas yeah no the original comment is actually correct. The flows DOES NOT work. That’s literally why they cut it. It didn’t introduce Vision properly, wasn’t true to his character, and Thor was already in a fully invested fight. Him stopping Cap feels WAY out of place.
It’s funny how whenever vision gets knocked down he just gets back up like “I’m not done yet”

I really prefer the version without the fight, I'm glad they cut this. Having him be so violent out of nowhere is a little off-putting, I loved how he went straight to stopping himself at the window and observing the city and himself. It defined his character immediately as someone powerful, but inherently peaceful.
The fight was cool and all, but I'm really glad it's a deleted scene!
Otherwise they would have the scene like Superman when he was resurrected in Justice League!
Abhishek Raj speaking of that he was so stupidly powerful
@@caprisuncatcaller6994 Superman is suppose to be super powerful...
What are you talking about? He wasn't violent he was literally trying to not die? Did you even watch the video???
He was just defending himself.
OH COME ON! If anyone remembers, there was an interview with Paul Bettany stating that he would have a fight with Thor, instead of that measly throw Thor does. This scene at least has a good showcase of his powers, being able to rumble with Thor, so I really don't know why they cut it out of the movie.
+theyosh647 Time
+theyosh647 Execs want films as short as possible so that theatres can get through it then replay it as many times during the day. More showings, more money. Who cares about the film's quality when you can make money off of brand and familiarity alone. Why else do those shitty transformers films keep getting made?
money money money😂
+theyosh647 It makes sense when you think about it. Vision was peaceful, it wouldn't make sense for him to come out fighting like that. Especially with someone he actually knows. Besides, you can see him easily knock Mjolnir aside, which would make the scene where he hands Thor his hammer have a little less impact.
+theyosh647 Agreed
Really cool seeing the early versions of a lot of these effects. Makes you appreciate how much work goes into making a movie like this.
You can say whatever you want but thor looked badass in this scene 👊❤
Totally, also loved that he used his mother tongue (Asgardian, Nordic) when he used lightning in this scene.

I can understand why this was left on the cutting room floor but the did showcase all, if not most, of Vision's capabilities which is kind of a shame. It would've been cool to see his powers unleashed like this before the final fight with Ultron. An interesting scene but understandably cut.

+Yoko Higuchi I agree. It would have upset the flow of the movie

@DN Anderson and yet they used it to go back in time. All changes depending on how long the screenwriter wants the plot to last.
@DN Anderson movie doesn't mean anything like "won't make sense", movie means that it moves, because the images are moving. You can call dumbass the mirror, but is that your argument? "We like 'em stupid?"
Yeah, I bet you do.
@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 vision was weekened with his stab wound, that's why
@@nanochad2979 that's a sorry excuse for contrivance purposes. Vision was made of artificial fibres that remade themselves (check out Hawkeye's deadly wound in AoU, which was healed in minutes thanks to that machine), plus the power of the Mind Stone. So, one day he was a god; the next day, when production remembered that he was just "a macguffin", he was taken out with a spear. The powers of the Avengers are not based on any consistency or sense, but exclusively on comics fanbase. That's something I loathe.
0:30 wait was the hammer in this scene literally a hammer-shaped lamp???? If you slow down the clip and use the < > keys to go through it frame by frame, it looks like some translucent material with a lamp underneath.
Yeah but I think it’s just a placeholder so they can render the lighting from the lamp
yup, they're using practical lighting instead of vfx for the thunder coming off the mjolnir.
0:08 I just realized that shot was used in trailers so much and it's not even in the movie.
This scene made Vision's sinister, rather than heartwarming machine. Good job Marvel, exelsior

+ramdelure yes it is quite powerful. So this clash of powers would cause much destruction.
Comic Book Thor is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more powerful than Comic Book Vision. In the MCU they seem roughly equal, Vision being faster and Thor seemingly more powerful even though Vision gets his powers from a damned Infinity Stone (only in the MCU)

I actually like how must of his fight with Thor is hand to hand combat I lot people think Thor isn’t a good hand to hand combatant but these scene showcases those skills very well
This would've been cool to see in the movie because Vision shows of all his powers/abilities in this scene but I don't really understand why he would randomly choose to fight Thor and then during the battle, he randomly chose to change his colour scheme and give him self a cape.
He saw thors cape and thought “this man has a great fashion sense, I’m gonna copy him”
