One of the rarest ferrari Dinos - 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS factory Chairs and flares

  • The Ferrari Dino is the last of the Enzo Era cars, meaning Ferraris that
Enzo himself had a say in the design of, before Fiat took control of the
road car production. It was a massive success with thousands of units
built, ranging from the 206 GT, to the 246 series which included both a
coupe and targa top variation. Of the 246 Dinos, the chairs and flares
version is by far the most desirable. While many people have altered
their cars to add on the flares, there are only a handful of factory
originals, making them rare and extremely collectible. only 91 factory
original chairs and flares Dinos made it to the US, and this car happens
to be one of those original cars. It has been extensively restored in
recent years and is in great condition cosmetically as well as
    mechanically.

Your videos are great. Absolutely stunning. I love them. In particular I like the videos about the Dino- family, where you covered the Fiat Dino 2400 spider apart from some Dino 206 / 246 (as far as I have seen them). The elegant lines of a Dino 246, the nice ride of a Fiat Dino spider 2400, just great. There is only one thing, the serious sports car in the family of cars with the dino engine was a (by Ferrari) unwanted step- brother, the Lancia Stratos. A Dino 246 GT is the elegant tourer, a Lancia Stratos is insane, but perfect for a nice ride across the Col de Turini on a winter night. Tell me, if you have already covered one, or when you are about to do so... . Looking forward.
Just by the way, next Thursday, 20th January 2022, at 21:30 h (CET) they are driving up to the Col de Turini again (they: WRC). But these days, they use Toyota GR Yaris and things, little city cars with 4 WD and a heavily tuned engine, but the cars are no more nice... :-(.

Very few people know that "chairs and flares" was not officially an option at the start. It actually came about due to the differing bucks upon which the bodies were formed. In fact, many cars with the flares did NOT have the chairs. You could order these at a later point in production, but with earlier cars, you simply got whatever arrived. Receiving a "chairs and flares" car was just a hit or miss proposition

@@FerrarisOnline I think leaving out the name of Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari and focusing on the displacement of the engine was a mistake. In this particular marque, Dino Ferrari created the V6 and was working on the engine design refinement when he died at 24 and this is why Enzo named the marque Dino, after his son. That's a far more interesting story to tell when selling a car like this, and its accurate as well. That is a special provenance I hope you don't ignore the next time.
