Max Ivanov is currently working as a skills coach with the Florida Panthers in the NHL. He has also worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins (winning 2 Stanley Cups) and in the KHL (where he also won a championship).

I’m looking to get back into hockey after 7 years… I put on 15lb working out over the last year , and am a little tight!
I would love to be back to my puck handling and skating level the same I was in high school. Hopefully next year I can make a good men’s team.

I have a quick question, I'm right-handed and I use a right-handed stick since 2nd grade and now I'm in 10th. I feel that my stickhandling and shot could improve if I learned to use a left-handed stick. Is the switch worth it or should I learn to make my left hand stronger in its ability to control the top of my stick?

I do everything righthanded except hockey. Get a lefthanded stick from a friend and skate with it everyday for a week. You will know then what is best for you, YUP?
It will be a tough transition but give it a go if you think it will help

Go look for ice climbing knee protection. Arc’teryx and Black Diamond makes some.

I am Agreeing with magic marker being used as for and of push pull when navigating. As instead of a bracket line to work around arguing with movement that doesn't exist. Use brackets for passing angles though EH.

You are right. To many games peer season. Optimal is three practices between each game.

Впаривает дичь. Никому это силовое катание не нужно в современном хоккее. И малкин и кросби деревянные стали.
Нужна супер скорость, а не способность продавить соперника.
Ну может для ВХЛ еще пойдет. Или для НХЛ (которая ночная хоккейная лига). Вот там клиентов будет хоть отбавляй.

I played many years ago on defense. I was more of a defensive defenseman, didn't score that much but I wish there were videos like this back then would have definitely helped my game. Amazing skills thanks.🏒
