To all Battleship players: do NOT use damage control to put out 1 fire.
Depends on the situation. Like if you're out of line of sight or are able to remove the threat and are in a position where you will not encounter anyone for a bit, then use your damage con.
Another great and informative video... it drives me nuts when I'm in my destroyer my team expects me to hunt and kill other destroyers... that's not my job, honey. Sure I'll kill 'em if I see 'em, but cruisers need to know their roll and stop farming damage off BBs and go kill the destroyers out there harassing our battleships.
As a cruiser player I do expect you (destroyers) to help hunt them. Most are able to find them easily using twist and track. But I don't necessarily expect you to engage them.
@@catloveralways I'm not saying that I won't or wouldn't hunt and kill destroyers when it's prudent... I want to win just like everyone else. But when I have to come off defending a cap or I'm pulled off front line spotting because an enemy destroyer is harassing my battleships and a perfectly capable and in range cruiser is completely ignoring that destroyer I have an issue with where that cruiser captains head is... and it happens often enough for me to say something here.
What would be nice is if wg could put tbulls videos on the game page as information for all players same as they do advertising premium ships or patch notes ect so peeps can see this sort of information tbh.

Actually, it is your job to deal with other destroyers. The cruiser's primary job is to help you with that. You're going to run into them first. If your cruisers are paying attention, they should be getting guns on the enemy DD as soon as you spot it. You'll be doing likewise while trying to avoid damage, but it's a group effort. Cruisers and destroyers should be working hand in glove in this situation. Also, keep in mind that 8" gun cruisers aren't as effective in dealing with DDs as 6" gun cruisers--we won't get into Graf Spee and anti-DD work.
This thing was much better then I thought it would be. The AP was surprisingly good too.
Great information. I used to suck at cruisers. It's now one of my best ships using this setup and strategy. Thanks a bunch! Although I do like the torpedoes for random hits. 👍

I'm a Cruiser Main since release!! A good Cruiser player gives you a high chance of winning and then there are Cruisers players like myself!! I'm not a Heavyweight Hunter for show, it's what my boats do!! I'll also add that if a really good Cruiser player escorts or trails a Battleship, that Batfleship aside from getting Dev struck had the potential for a 200k game!! Teamwork trumps everything though no matter how good or great you may be.. If the other team is a team and it's a bunch of Rambos on your team?? GOOD LUCK!! Enjoy your vids Bull!!

I remember one game: I was in a Omaha, coming at me was a Queen Elizabeth leading a Dallas. Between us was an island off my port bow. I took a few shots at the Dallas knowing that my guns wouldn't do much to the battleship. My plan was to break contact by going around the island and coming up behind the Queen Elizabeth for a torp run (as the Dallas would most likely have pulled ahead by the time). The Queen Elizabeth said "Nope" and one shot my ass. LMFAO😂🤣😂🤣😂
Man I'm glad I took the time watching your videos because coming from world of tanks I thought cruiser's we like the scouts for your team. Now I know to use the destroyer's for that and what to do in these. Thank you!

I go all offense and also do ok, even defensive commanders will not save you from a BB. I play cruisers almost exclusively because it is more challenging. Position and awareness is the only real defense for a CA. Tbull...always top notch advice man!

I started playing cruisers. I really like it, but it is muchhhhh more exhausting then playing for instance a Battleship. But your tips are very helpfull :)
The only Cruiser Commanders i use that are offensive minded are Scott and Kutneszov. And I'm becoming a fan of Vian as an inspiration.
I use the same commander build for the DeGrasse and man is it a fun ship! Get the destroyers off the map and then harass battleships from behind cover. Classic!!
Ive been switching roux and lemonier for the French cruisers there both very good.
I love sneaking around in a cruiser and destroying ships with my torpedoes. Plus my mains are bigger than a destroyer so wreak havoc on the enemy destroyers.

Great video TB. I have gotten to be better with cruisers thanks to your videos, to where they have become my preferred class. The main thing wrong with cruisers is the people who play them, and then don't bother to learn how to use them

Swirsky is a secondary/general buff for concealment. Mikawa is better for cruiser specific play but personally I'd rather have Mikawa and Lemon for my cruisers as inspirations
Russell ah gotcha. So at level 16 Mikawa has better concealment than Swirsky. Makes sense. I haven’t used Lemon much but he seems like a good inspiration for my Japanese/French Cruisers. Currently running Atago with double concealment inspirations.
Hi, what cruiser lines are the strongest? I have all ships at lvl 4 now but the destroyer lines. I find I like the US and the Russian Cruisers the most so far. Thoughts? I’m still fairly new as well
I like the Japanese cruisers personally, but they all have good and bad points

I just picked up the Atago about a week ago and its been real fun to play.. 750K but well worth it I think...

For the Japanese Cruiser, which one is the better Commander? Makawa or Yamamoto?

I prefer Yamamoto as I spam with HE at 16-17km and AP at broadsides

I ended up buying Makawa with Commander XP and upgraded him to Level 7. That Ingenuous Perk is REALLY useful. Makes Cruiser play easier and more tactical.
Decided to change my German Cruisers Commander to the one that has that Perk too.
@@TbullGaming Did you switch to Atago? She has the Ingenius Perk, but is a little more offensive. I was thinking Atago, with MIkawa and Swirski.

This isn't how to play cruisers it's how to play French Cruisers
It has core principles applicable to the class as a whole. You can pick any class of any nation and point out how it deviates from the norm of the given class
You just made an entire video confirming that Cruisers are cancer in this game. HE spamming and fires have broke this game 100% for battleships. It’s disgusting. As a primary BB player, this game has gone nothing but downhill for BBs.

So you can one shot people and you're complaining about fires? I bet you're the type of shooter player that calls for a nerf every time you get killed by a meta gun.... improvise, adapt, overcome.... use tactical/ logical ship positioning and movement and you'll do fine lol
