Passat B6 B7 rear brake pads replacement , caliper retract with VCDS

EPB open / close rear caliper motors to change disks or pads.
For Passat B6 , B7 , CC
When doing this please make sure car is secure and it won’t roll forward or in reverse and on a flat surface with wheel chocks it you don’t have a ramp.

Can you turn engine and ignition off whilst you do the change or do you leave ignition on

You can switch ignition off while changing the pads or whatever work is being done. You should do that anytime you replace something.
