      Go take it's temperature, right there in the rear end. I'll bet it will show he has a temperature above 98.6 F.

      I believe that 334th emblem is the fighting hawks. Just found it ironic you would say that. I agree

    So cool to come across this video after somehow missing it for 5+ years. Beautiful airplane! This is the first video I've seen where I really noticed the similarity to the Mig-15/17. Where everyone was so used to straight wings and paint schemes for ID'ing the enemy I can understand how tough it must have been knowing who you were supposed to be shooting at! I'd imagine that's where the giant yellow diagonal-stripe (paint-job) came from but I don't know if that was a squadron thing or a Korea-theater thing.

      Hello, my dad was in Korea as a Staff Sargent as mechanic on one. Each squad had their own emblem like my dads had a hawk with boxing gloves on. It was the 334th. I think you could be on to something about quick identification. The mig was far lesser than the F-86.

      When I was 4 years old in 1954 one came through my little town of Burns, Oregon on a flat bead truck with it's wings along the side. Where it was going, I don't know, I remember it looked new, clean and shinny to me. I never forgot that day, my uncle lifted me up onto the flat bed and then up to look inside that big bubble canopy. Must have sparked an interest because today I've been a pilot for 45 years but the only jet I fly is the Citation, made by the same company that made the first airplane I soloed a 150. But the F-86 was great and after that day whenever my mother would vacuum the carpets I'd take the vacuum hose and because the nozzle was round and sucked in air like the nose of that F-86, I'd swing it around as if it was....just sucking in the air like the real thing. All I know is the vacuum was a Hoover and there was a great pilot named Hoover, Hell the connections never end for a five year old. I was born and raised up until I was 5 years old in that little town, Burns, Oregon yet the only two things I remember about the whole place was that F-86 and where it was parked and the Drive-In malt shop. So that Sabre really ranks up their with important things in life, doesn't it?

    Vote me for President of the United States and I will abolish any and all air show commentators so we may all listen to the sweet noises these planes make instead.

    Gotta be an f86-f25. It has six armaments, most likely 12.7mm Browning's, as opposed to the f86-f2 saved which had 4 FMC-160 20mm cannons.

      Don't you love these guys, you can bet he's right on too! Hell, I'm good just remembering it's a F-86 Starfighter, oops Sabre Jet Voodoo something. Leave it to "Chuck Norris" to know all about the armaments.

      The only US production F-86 armed with 4 x 20 mm cannons was the F-86H. The rest were armed with 6 x.50 caliber Browning M3 machine guns

    General Electric when designing the engine told the AF that they could make the engine smokeless for just a few dollars more. The AF said "no thanks". Nobody asked the pilots for their opinion.

    • @davidsoom6383
      @davidsoom6383 Před 7 lety

      Umbrellas at airshows and hats you've got to love the hats. The something happens and someone has to stand up although they can see fine, then everyone else behind them. Wonder we see anything. If the airshows ever become the modern day war like smellyrooster14 says then the Umbrella owners should be the wing walkers and have to keep their umbrella open during the flight.
