Nissan has a perfect opportunity to come up with a better alternative to the Tundra that will be reliable, better looking, and the value choice, I hope.
I owned two Titan and trust me it’s better than a Toyota Tundra.
@@easttexasengineering3489 Yep!!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Already is better than the Tundra, just generally overlooked.
Love the v8.. why is this guy talking like its a good thing to raise the price and put a 6 banger in it
I really like the heavier hydraulic steering and NA 5.6L V8 with NO cylinder deactivation compared to the big three.
Jeez these prices are outrageous. The payments on these vehicles are out of control.
I agree, who is paying over 50 grand for a pickup? I don't want a high tech pickup, just a reliable truck!!! I guess we'll see what happens during this recession...
I paid 50k for my pathfinder and im happy

@@vmaximus12 more money than sense
@@Ja_Mes okay now will you also pay for the extended warranty when they call?
305,821 miles on my 2006 Nissan Titan 5.6 l SE. Still going strong baby!!!
❤️🙏
I had an 05 with similar miles and now got a 21 Pro 4X….the new owner of my 05 uses it on his ranch. I would not even contemplate to downsize to a V6.
@@TheDnlnext sweeeeeet!!!!
I had a 2006 LE with 293k when I traded it 8 1/2 years later for a 2012 SL. I’m now on my 3rd Titan. Although I like them all, the 2006 was the best one. Drive it until it falls apart!
My folks are still driving their 2007 Titan and it runs like a champ.
I was Nissan tech back then, they had problems. Leaking rear axle was the most common. The only bullet proof nissans back then were ones built with the 3.5 v6 with conventional automatics, those were rock solid.
That is literally me. 07 titan 165k ml.
@@aaroncaldwell9486 me too. Have a 2008 with 239k on it and is running like a champ
MY 12 pro4x with 200k miles still right like brand new.
Yes I have a 2006 it still runs great!
This is what Toyota should have done with the Tundra, offer the current twin turbo v6 as an option and still keep the v8! Thanks for the video Ben. Enjoy the holidays
I agree. Just 1 engine option is a killer on a Toyota for me. Not sure why all these manufacturers are doing this.
@@semiauto3148
Whst other manufacturers are doing "this"??
@@johnpeters9793 GM is doing it on their mid size trucks, Ford is doing it on the Ranger, Toyota is going to do it again on the Tacoma. Imo it’s not good to have just 1 engine option. But at least Toyota isn’t going all electric like the rest of the morons.
@@semiauto3148
I thought we were talking about 1/2 tons/full-size trucks....especially since you responded to the post regarding a V8 being available....
@@johnpeters9793 I’m talking about that and all the others also… it’s a trend in the industry…they seem to be going in the 1 engine option..which to me isn’t smart…but what do I know!
Guy who does my garage door work is on his 3rd Titan. He got 300k miles each on the other two and they are still running strong, his brother is still driving one of them.
Having 2 engine options is great. Hybrid V-8 and twin turbo V-6. IMO a V-8 is a must choice.
That would be sweet
They should always offer a classic NA V8 with no hybrid drivetrain.
@@Shitnugget69 they dropped the NA V8 because of emissions I’m hearing . It was a Reliable engine
@@oliverramclam6009 I doubt they dropped the NA V8. I know Toyota dropped theirs tho
100% !@@Shitnugget69
How exciting! Another truck that will be base price of $70,000 woot!
This is what I wanted to hear. Hope to maybe buy a new Titan pence they refresh it. Have a Nissan Xterra we refuse to give up. Been a great SUV.
I agree about high mileage owners. Currently have 199,000 miles on my 2011 Titan Pro-4X. Only current issue is my AC and 1 power window not working. I am looking to purchase another Pro-4X in 2nd quarter 2023. Only upgrade I did on my current Titan is adjustable shocks.
Nissan has always sucked with windows motor reliability
@@BajaZay
Nissan doesn't make the electrical motors for windows.
Great news for us truck enthusiasts..
I currently own a 2007 Titan with 185k miles ...love it..lots of power...
Definitely going to wait for the new one..
Going v8 route definitely..
Awesome brother! Go look at my comment on top!
It is by far the best looking new truck. They finally built what the original concept artist designed. It just took them a generation to do it.
I know a guy who put over 400,000 miles on his first generation Titan before finally giving it to a family that needed a vehicle. These trucks are better than any of the big three and will outlast them.
@@waynenoll1967 2010 SE with 77k miles. it's a pretty dang reliable truck. that 5.6 liter is a beast.
That picture isn't a new Titan, it's the Titan Warrior show truck that has been around since 2018.
So, the Warrior has finally been canned, right?
@@aspe7187 I don't think it was ever going to be made. Just a show truck.
I like the direction Nissan is going, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Titan
They are going to do nothing after this. They bring out something and leave it alone. They never update it. This will be the truck for the next ten years
If they kept the Cummins it would of been still my favorite but just "one of" my favorites. I still love the current design but wish the Cummins still came a option.
@@racer776690 the Cummins was an awful engine. Not good for anything.
@@1tylerproud You mean the "5.0 Cummins"?
@@1tylerproud actually they are pretty good most just don't like them since they are not in a dodge and V8 well too bad cry babies 😢 😭 shower me with those tears. Let me guess you own a dodge Cummins drink alot of beer smacking your wife around yelling yee-haw!!! For days if not I have to be close right lmfao 🤣 😂
They need to build the damn warrior. Best looking truck ever.
Agreed they need do that 1000%
I have owned three new titans, first one in 2005. Great trucks, Nissan never marketed this truck appropriately since it's debut in 2004. Sorry to say, the Warrior concept has been a teaser for 10+ years. Ultimately yearly sales numbers will govern the Titans future. It was never designed to compete with the Big 3. Nissan already has the 3/4 ton platform with its NV2500 series. Build it, they will come.
Is this confirmed by Nissan? Right now Ben is speculating. Last I checked each year the sales of titans have gone down.
I bought a ‘21 P4X last year but would definitely trade that in for a Warrior Titan.
Where is all the information you talked about coming from? .I would love to believe it, but this is the first time anyone has said there are future plans for the Titan
Ben, thanks. To your question, i would choose the reliability of the traditional hybrid. It saves payload vs plugin (we need payload for towing), it provides tangible economy (vs mild hybrid), and it is reliable. I had traditional hybrid toyota highlander (V6) and it was the best car i owned. Now i own Titan XD with 5.6l. I had to get a truck for towing and XD 5.6l was my choice.
Thanks for the update Ben. Hey without relinquishing your source for the info was that update from Nissan or just speculation from the rags?? Love to see a new TITAN
The one thing that annoys me about the midsize truck / SUV market right now is that in order to get the HO engine options, you have to get the most extreme Off-Road package. What the market is missing is the top HO engine, in a slightly lower tier Off-Road package that doesn’t completely sacrifice your Towing/Payload capacity. Something like a Ranger with 3.0L Raptor engine, but in a Tremor type trim that maintains the towing/payload. It’s ridiculous that the most powerful engine trims have significantly lower towing/payload than the lower level trims. I just want power and towing with decent off-road capabilities in a midsize. I don’t need, and most people don’t need, a Baja racer.
Can you not get every engine option in any 2023 Colorado? Get the optional Turbo Plus then the HO dealer tune
What do you mean HO engine options? Is it something to do with hybrid?
@@mikehawkslong5529 High Output (HO). Just the high performance engine.
That’s true, but it’s not directly applicable to the Titan, because it is a full-size truck, not a midsize vehicle.
Perhaps it's time to concentrate on value. I would rather give ten grand more for a vehicle that lasts an extra 100,000 + miles than one that barely makes it to 100,000 without major issues.
Average sales around 20-25k per year on a good year, Tundra is 100k+….Nissan dealership near me is currently sitting on 11 Titans. Am I the only person that has ZERO desire for a hybrid truck?
I doubt you're the only one. Hybrids will be the future though they're not going to take over the market anytime soon.
My brother has the F150 with the generator option, it's amazing tech.
I share your contempt for hybrid. I wonder if your dealer is able to sell those Titans cheaply, or locked into absurd covid-era pricing.
That'll change for most consumers. Most were strictly V8 guys. Now you see a lot of v6 Ecoboost lovers and the hype of electric trucks.
@@davidzambrano9126 no to both, for me.
Half ton trucks are barely trucks anymore.
I'd take one if it didn't have issues but fuck that Atkinson engine and it's lagging, fuck the axles falling off,the wastegate issues etc I had a 2020 Tacoma and it was the worst vehicle I ever had .nothing but issues and 4 dealers wouldn't fix it or couldn't figure it out so I had to do their job and find out what it was .I had the same prob a 2019 Tacoma had but they refused bc mine was a 2020 🤔so I traded it .extremely let down by Toyota .I had axle flange clearance issues and I believe a lot of people did bc the forums showed a lot of people with the same issue .got me a 22 frontier and couldn't be happier .I like the fact that it's a new old truck basically.reg power steering .no electric ps that's blowing all over the road.no plastic bed.no cylinder deactivation bs and the tranny is a Mercedes design .the Tacoma's 6 speed was programmed horribly for mpg .Id love to see a titan with a console shifter,a redesign and turboed 3.8 (frontier engine that's n/a) with a mild hybrid system .sadly the v8s are gonna be going away if we like it or not .
Seems to me the problem with a hybrid V8 is the decrease in payload and/or towing capacity due to the additional weight of the battery. Hopefully they can keep the current capabilities with the additional feature.
Love my 21 Titan. Excited to see this in my local dealerships😊
Ben what's your source? I'd love to believe this, I'm a huge fan of the Titans.
That’s what I want to know is this legit
That warrior concept thumbnail picture is amazingggg. They really messed up the titan line and sales not putting that into production. Hopefully they will do it for the new one.
I'm on my second titan. 21 pro4x other then the gas milage its been a solid truck. I was hoping to get a pro4x xd for my next truck but now ill have to wait to see what the 24 yar brings
Thank-you for the Titan news. My 2016 XD is a great truck and I've achieved 22 mpg on certain trips, but normally better than 19 mpg on road trips and not pulling a trailer. I have pulled a 13k pound loaded trailer with no problems on hilly terrain. I would consider the twin turbo V6 for my next one, but I would also consider some kind of hybrid power if it provides better mileage and longer range between fill ups.
I have a 2012 bought with 50k miles. Currently have 213k. Still going strong. Great truck !
I purchased my 1st 2007 titan in 2012 with 112k miles for $12k i drove it to 277k miles never had an issue with the engine/transmission starter or alternator replaced the front end twice, rebuilt drive shaft re placed rear components and other normal parts i sold it for $7500 in January 2022 and bought a 17 pro4x with 64k miles it was the best bang for buck compared to the fords and tundras didnt want a chevy/gmc or ram 🤷🏾♂️
That’d be my next truck to replace my current 2015 titan pro4x. I’d probably look into the turbo v6 but could definitely see myself staying with the v8
How long have you had the 2015? Wondering how it has treated you? I just bought a 2014 pro4x
@@Yeeter-my7do I’ve had it about 4 years. Zero issues. 65k on it now.
GREAT VIDEO BEN!!!! I LOVE MY FRONTIER!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!! I LEARNED SO MUCH!!!!
I have bought about 8 toyotas in a row. I will definitely consider this titan. Now it'll be amazing if they TT that 5.6 for the Warrior
Thank you Nissan not to get rid of the titan best news ever Nissan titan is a good truck to go out to buy
I love my08 Titan, very dependable and plenty of power, plan to always keep it.
Ttitan XD is BOSS! Looking for one to purchase over the next 3 months. Either 2016 or newer pro4x or platinum reserve trim. Will see what deals come. Expecting to take advantage of the used vehicle market collapse in the near future. There are deals now but to soon to pull the trigger. Patience is key in all markets whether consuming, investing and saving.
get the XD. love mine
Great videos Ben your the best sir!
Thank you for the video
harrop makes a great supercharger kit for the titan's v8. So a supercharged warrior would be epic.
That trans can't handle that much weight with that much power.

I love Titans. My
13 has been a fantastic truck.
I don’t think the demand is there for Titans Like you were saying. None the less I really hope they don’t discontinue them.
My 2005 runs awesome still with a low 250,000 miles on it with still plenty of burn out power :)
Coming from a family of gmc/chevrolet truck owners.. I've owned a 2008 pro4x king cab loved the truck I upgraded to a 2019 pro4x crew cab absolutely love this truck, BEST half ton on the market... This is very good news didn't want to see them go away. I'll be ordering a Warrior if they make it or a new pro4x either one will be equipped with a V8
I like this direction as a 2007 owner with 350000 miles and climbing was considering going the RAM OR GMC route but may consider waiting
Worked for nissan dealership for 12 years now. Titans are birthday cars. Meaning the sit for over a year. One time I had a platinum reserve sit for 2 years. I have 4 sitting on my lot as we speak and I assure you it’s not a hot product lol but love your videos!!! What they need to do is axe it and bring back xterra
Correct, I have a New 22’ Platinum Reserve Titan on my lot at the moment and I expect to have it for some time.. I have worked Sales and Service at my Nissan dealer for 4 years now and love what they’re doing with other models
I think is Nissan advertised better and had more dealships they wouldn’t sit
Does it have the CVT transmission?
They don’t sell because they are Japanese brand in a American segment. People by the American full size brands because they’re American. You buy the Tundra for Toyota’s reputation in quality and reliability. Nissan doesn’t have anything that makes them stand out in this segment. It’s the same with the Armada.
A redesigned Xterra would be awesome. Great option against the 4Runner
I switch from
Toyota to Nissan and I don’t regret it, I was a Toyota customer since 2010
This is all I have waiting for! Nice job Ben.
Its not real
I hope they go forward with the Nissan Titan. It’s so underrated and I would like to get one until Nissan stated they were go discontinue it. That V8 is so reliable but not as fuel efficient as the big 3. Thats its downfall. I like to be different from everyone and the Nissan Titan is it! I would buy it in a heartbeat!
Argh, was looking at Nissan Titans to replace my 2007 Silverado, now I think I will wait to see what the 2024 Titan will be. I had heard rumors they were working on a hybrid that would give 400 miles range on battery. I think that's a bit optimistic but any hybrid would be a plus.
Thanks for the great news Ben 👍
As a current owner of a 2020 Titan XD, Nissan would have to correct 2 major flaws to make me consider buying another one. Increase the current GVWR of 8,650 by another 1,000 lbs which will add to the embarrassingly low payload rating of 1,700 lbs by another 1,000 lbs. Second increase the small fuel tank size of 26 gallons to at least 36 gallons minimum, maybe even 40 gals would be nice. Only being able to drive less then 400 miles when empty on a full tank and 250ish miles when towing between fill ups is unacceptable.
Good for Nissan. IMO the Titan is about as close as you can get to a traditional, no frills, utilitarian pickup for a decent price. I hope they don't go all nuts with "tech". I hope the Titan XD retains the full 5.6 V8 (no hybrid).
Ben keep the beard going. That’s cool you like the Titan I drove the first gen for 17 years and still drive it everyday. Also have a platinum Cummins such a great value. Interior is awesome overbuilt Toyota Transmisson and Cummins engine is very entertaining. The turbo act different all the time thanks Ben
Love my 2010 Titan my third Nissan truck never had a problem with them and tons of power .
So is this coming from Nissan or you’re just guessing? I love my 2017,it has 93k miles.
he's gotta be just posting click bait here. There is zero info out there anywhere else besides this video Ben posted. A couple forums have since hyped it up as a new 2024, but they are referencing back to this video as their source. Ben is good and putting out "news" without giving any hint as to where he got his info from. Just click bait until someone, somewhere can verify or confirm any shred of truth to what Ben is talking about here.

I love my 2022 xd pro4x is the best truck I ever had ... I had tundra dodge ram and gm in pass and they all shuck... plus nissan warranty rocks!!!
I’ve seen that titan warrior concept for years now, any forza player should recognize it easily, I’m glad it finally getting built, hopefully the actual truck looks just as good both inside and out
I would love to see nissan come out with a twin turbo version that will compete with the ford f-150 and tundra. That would be awesome since most truck companies are going that direction. If they can include the v8, v8 hybrid, v6 twin turbo and/or v6 twin turbo hybrid, that would be amazing.
I’m not sure selling 20-25 thousand units a year would be considered popular. They might be a great truck but based on those numbers it’s not a huge seller for them.
They probably profit a lot from those units sold enough to keep it going
So glad to hear they know they have to stay and improve. Hopefully it’s not as ugly as the new tundra .
You u have some key points that they might do. Never think they would kill it off, it would be a bad branding idea for the company to bring it back in the future.
A hybrid V8 would be awesome I think just a regular hybrid version but I would like to see a power on board generator like what's in the F-150 Powerboost thought would be awesome to have another auto maker compete would be awesome.
Nissan has 0.0000001% market share of truck market…😮
I have a Titan XD with the Cummins diesel. I love the truck. It is really good on fuel for a full size truck.
I hope Nissan keeps true to this concept model you have up in the corner. Bring the styling up a little closer to that of the Frontier.
You mentioned their potential use of turbos, I wonder how much boost the new 3.8L in the Frontier can handle with the proper modifications.
And yes, the 5.6L is one heck of a reliable engine. When I worked at a Nissan dealership I'd only seen one or two of them every get swapped, and those were well over 100k in early first gen. Titans.
Keep in mind, turbocharged engines have more thermal stress, and they do not last as long as a non-turbo, or non-supercharged gasoline V8, which is the most reliable configuration.
Nissan said "beyond". That means the Titan is not going to discontinued, because they're going to stay. My 1st brother owns a 2010 Nissan Titan. His truck is underrated.
I have a 2010 and I love it. I would buy a titan warrior concept or one that looks like this (like a TRX/raptor competitor).
My understanding is that smaller engines actually use up more fuel when towing because they have to work harder. Not sure how true but it can make sense. I'd like a other V8 personally. The 2021 I got as a rental was actually not bad on fuel.
I have a 2018 ProX 4 Titan XD with the Cummins and I love it! I have had Ford, Dodge and GM diesels and like this truck better. I hate they discontiued the diesel engine. Wish they still offered it..
In what way, was it a good idea for Cummins (not Nissan) to discontinue the 5.0L V8 diesel engine? My neighbor has this exact power train in his Titan and he loves it.
So what you're saying is I have to trade in my 2020 Pro4x for this 2024 Titan? Ok!
Love the content, but are these your thoughts and opinions or do you have a source?
His Source is Trust Me Bro
The new pro4x is awesome!! Owned a gen 2 raptor and now a 22 pro4x and for some reason i love my 22 nissan
Personally I think the Titan (XD) is an underrated truck. Even though my 2018 XD required a short block repair, I'd bye another with the 5.6L. Pulls my 5K lb. camper with ease. I just don't see Nissan market this vehicle.
I'm sorry to hear you still watch TV.
I’ve had 3 titans, SV,Pro4X & Pro4X XD. I currently own a 22 Frontier that I trade my Tesla in for. Unfortunately they no longer offer Titan in Canada so if they do decide to release the Warrior I will be going State side to pick one up ( I live in boarder city) .
I’ve never had any issues with my Titans, even towed 10,000lb TT with my XD with no issue.
same 18 sv needed short block then they messed up transmission when fixing. thank god for warranty
@nick I know I'm 2 morhs late, but what did they screw up on your transmission? Curious to know if I need to watch for shifting/slipping symptoms.

Glad to hear the redesign and I’ve been a titan guy for the last 10 years now I’ll never own another Silverado ram or Ford with the issues they have
Currently nissan titan owner here, I was maybe planning to up date, get a newer titan not sure if I should wait, but..... If they bring the warrior let me tell you something if they bring the warrior. Oooooh boy I sell everything to buy three of those beautiful trucks.
That’s true plus you don’t see to many used titans out there. I had 2015 titan loved it. I was looking for a bench seat had to go back to a 22 GMC. Value was good bought it used 14,500 miles cost 29,000 sold it 80,000 miles gave me 23,500. Wasn’t bad for three years of ownership
You should have your headshot in the corner and have the vehicle as full screen
I thinks it’s a perfect truck, just needs an infotainment upgrade and back up cameras.
Problem with titan for nissan is low volume. It costs alot in r&d and retooling. Takes time to recoup costs with such low volume.
Nissan used to own desert racing in the 90s.
Id like to see that again
Need to update this video to current events. Titan scheduled to be discontinued are they still on the redesign path?
I have a 2013 that is solid and has a lot of life left but if they drop a warrior then I will be at the dealership
🎄Merry Christmas, Ben! ❄️
The Titan is not a hot product. They are selling 1500-2500 a month. The Canton plant is able to build 100k a year. Lots of speculation here
I have the new Nissan 3.8l 9 spd. It's pretty awesome..aggressive if you want, hard to drive in the snow.
I am on my second Titan and very happy with it. Nissan....keep the Titan in your lineup!
Looking good man like the beard it makes you look a little bit less yuppie and that's good.
I’m so glad Nissan is keeping the Titan in production. Way to many rumors it was going away after 2023. I’ll keep my 2018 Titan for the time being looking forward to the 24 model year and the revisions.
Simply put.. if it ant broke, don't fix it people! Nissan won me over as a past gm fanatic for years with this truck back in 07. Our company vehicles have went through Ford, ram, chevy and Nissan and we still have that same 07 titan on the lot and it's driven almost everyday when the majority of all others have came and gone lol! My mom bought an 05 infiniti qx56 brand new and she still has it in her garage but rarely gets driven just because she doesn't haul kids around much anymore and drives a smaller car but the qx still looks and runs perfect!
These major 3 companies have ruined dependability in almost every vehicle option out there but ESP in full size line ups with all their bells and whistles, engine options and especially those pesky engine features for the economical uses so to speak... turbos going out at 50 or 60 thousand or oil consumption and waste because of engine timing and shut offs or even cylinder deactivation lol!
Yeah Nissan may not get the fuel mileage bragging rights alot do buy damn, you ant gotta worry about a new or used vehicle leaving your ass stranded the life of your lease or loan, plus I believe Nissan has probably the best warranty out there and not to mention the most competitive price for new and used vehicles. Super underrated as usual in my opinion!
Honestly if they do decide I would with V6 twin turbo I have the 5.6 and I travel to Odessa so gas going that far is a plus with me and I can just sup up my 1st gen Titan and have it built to pull like a 3 quarter ton
Where are you getting this info?
It's time to sell my c10. After my accidentally totaled my 2012, I wanted another Titan, but the second gen wasn't working for me looks wise.
I seen a titan V8 with a Cummins just the other day
Link to this info?
Seems odd you wouldn't include that or am I missing something?
Can we get the truck on the big screen instead so we can see it?
I have 2 Nissan engineers in my extended family and have asked them numerous times if there was ever any plan to build the titan and they both laughed and said not a chance since the amount of money it would cost to build they would need to sell 100k of them to maybe break even in the R&D required to build it and pass certifications.
I am a huge pickup guy ,owned them all even the ones they no longer make, dakota had 2 of them. The only pickup that I bought 3 of is the titan, had 3 love the engin and transmission. The gas prices are what drove me out of them. Now driving my 2nd Ridgeline honda reliability and just great all around truck with full size storage capacity. Love the maverick tremors but good luck getting one. Loved my gladiator Rubicon put almost 50,000 on it in one year but my 58 year old body cant take the pounding anymore and I had to giveup rolling my own gears because of 4 spine operations. Would love to get in a new improved titan. Greatly overlooked pickup ,period.
I have driven an '05 Titan since new. LOVE the v8 engine. The ONLY real engine for a pick'em up truck is a V8! Period, end of discussion, I don't mind the less than stellar gas mileage. but I understand someone on a budget it can be a strain but for me I want nothing else. I also love the 4 speed auto with tow mode. Perfect.
