Literally what’s happening to me with nzxt. Same aio and it went bad, sent it back to them and they’re replacing. However it’s gonna take like 2+ weeks so I ordered a regular fan cooler and it didn’t come with the backplate. So now I’m waiting two days for the backplate to come in. Smh.
Most come with specific CPU coolers. Your motherboard is an Intel LGA1700 which then uses an LGA1700 backplate you would cross reference in the instructions of the cooler you buy.
When using an Intel processor with an AIO cooler, typically the stock backplate is not used. Instead, it usually comes with its own mounting hardware. However, AMD processors do use the stock backplate included with the motherboard. Therefore, it is assumed that when you switch from an Intel to an AMD motherboard, you will have purchased a new one that comes with the stock backplate thus including one with an AIO is not necessary.
@@coryscomputerrepair Ah okay thanks for the reply. Yes this is my current situation. I bought a Pre built and it had a Thermaltake aio that has failed and the bracket looks like the one in this video. It’s double sided for AMD or Intel use. I upgraded to a NZXT and I’m guessing I can’t use that bracket for the new one?
I think my AIO cooler went bad on my pre-built ibuypower pre-built it's been solid for a year and a half no issues and then all the sudden my cpu gets to hot and computer shuts down out of nowhere so would this be a aio cooler since it is only a single fan aio cooler I am getting a dual fan AIO cooler and I hope it is the issue otherwise I have no idea what it maybe since this is my first ever gaming pc I bought a pre-built because I don't know how to build a pc and it had a ryzen 5 5600x and a 3060ti so it's actually been a great pc with no issues but it seems after all the windows updates over the past couple months I just started getting this issue. Could it be the thermal paste or is it my AIO cooler?
I have a question. Do all AIO fit the new AM5 motherboards? I'm planning to buy an AM5 motherboard and an AIO. Let's say something like Corsair Hydro H45. These new AM5 motherboards already have a backplate which cannot be separated. Is this any problem?
Google is you rfriend :) www.xda-developers.com/best-am5-coolers/ "Fortunately, while the socket has changed, existing AM4 coolers will work just fine with AM5. The placement of the holes is the same as on AM4, and so any AM4-compatible brackets will work on an AM5 motherboard."
True. I spent an hour wondering why the aio pump wouldn’t touch my cpu. Turns out I had a custom backplate for another cooler.
Happend to me and bent the pins
thank you this confirmed my suspicions

Why does nzxt provide intel backplate when I bother their AIO but not AMD?

Where do I buy AMD AM4 Stock Backplate
Just search “AMD AM4 stock backplate” on Amazon. It doesn’t have to be AMD branded
