Mike, thanks for showing things everyday people actually use and buy. This video and your bios flashback videos are super helpful for people on a budget.
Ah the trusty stock Ryzen kewler. Always wanted the Wraith but got the Stealth with my trusty 3600. Had it installed for about a week before swapping out for a Hyper 212 Black and never looked back. Thanks for this instructional video, Mike and Kath :-)
this cooler is the bane of many peoples builds either installing removing or just getting too hot, hopefully the video will be informative and give some of the newbies a bit of confidence when using it
Very very thorough and helpful. To enthusiasts this is easy but this is the kind of detail that an everyday person needs..especially liked the extra detail on how tight the screws should be and thermal paste application
Had nothing but trouble with this today! Wish I'd seen your video beforehand. Thought I'd readjust the cooler as I was having issues with it sitting right - as I went to take it off after loosening the screws, it pulled the whole CPU out! The pins look ok, but I haven't finished building yet.. hope it still works lol
This is the best channel for beginners. I love how you showed multiple angles which I haven't seen other people do. Extremely helpful as I'm about to do my first Ryzen build.
Thanks for this video, I'm familiar enough with pc assembly otherwise but I was slightly baffled by a stock cooler since I usually get my own and wasn't sure about the backplate, this cleared that up. Cheers!
Watching this as I've just ordered a 5600x 6700xt build and looking to upgrade the cooler soon. Are there any specific ones that are recommended? Great video. Subbed
depends on the case and your tastes really, and of course budget. you can let me know more here or in the discord chat if you like. and thanks for the sub
This video helps me... but in some other way then installing the cooler. I'm aiming to install 4 ram sticks in similar mobo with similar in size cooler so I was asking myself do they even gonna fit in there. Will cooler block the first slot or not. Well, the answer is no so thank you anyway for your video, it was helpful.
Huhhh.., Installed it successfully.. Thanks for the video Mike , yes I too didn't like the part of tightening the screws ( that spring noises is scary), I just hope i haven't over tighten it, 😅
Tiny bonus. If the sideways AMD logo on the shroud annoys one, the four screws holding that to the cooler are square form. And can be screwed off, rotated 90 degrees and screwed back in, so that the AMD logo is right side up.
Hi Mike I really enjoy your reviews got a quick question so I have a optiplex am doing a case swap now the front panel connectors are custom and not normal Iv ordered a cit flash now would I still be able to controll the rgb since you only connected the PSU and was controlling jt Thanks
when I did mine, I was kind of scared... you have to put a bit of pressure on the board to get the screws started... scared me, I thought I was going to damage the board. but I got it on... and another thing... I had an extra AM3 heat sink and checked it... it fit the board and could work if I had only gotten the processor. I absolutely love my new rig! The B450 board is so nice and my RGB lighting works great in it... my KB even syncs with the system!

Hi what do I do if I can't remove the two plastic clips? The screws are far too tight and don't budge, and I'm afraid of applying more pressure in case I damage the motherboard
planning to upgrade me 3600 to a 5700x, can i remove just the wraith stealth without taking out my entire motherboard and everything? i do not have access to the backplate in my case it will sit on it's own right?
What if your board doesn't have one of those black, backplates? Having trouble getting my fan in cause of the sizable gap between the screws and the board. I have a B550

So when they are spring loaded, you can screw them down untill they stop? Does this apply to all spring loaded coolers? Such as deepcool tower on an LGA2011-3 ? I hope so because thats what ive done.

Stock AMD fans work well! At least they keep temperatures in a reasonable range, unlike the stock Intel coolers. Ick. Thanks, Mike!
they are okay to some extent and as a stop gap until a decent tower cooler is on offer
Just seeing this now thank you so muc. you fixed the single problem that was stopping me from using my PC. You earned a new subscriber.

That fact that you have to remove the whole motherboard because of that backplate, just to replace the cpu really sucks.
you don't have to but it makes access easier
