7900 gre should definitely be S tier. You can overclock it very easily and then its just as fast as the 4070 ti super. But its almost 450 euros cheaper. Insane.
I started a month ago building a pc for gaming and began with the 4060, then switched to the 7700XT and the started looking for the 7800XT, ended up pushing a bit for a 7900GRE and couldn't be happier with its value. Everything runs perfectly.

Dell was selling 4070 Ti Supers on their site for $750 a few days ago. If I had the money I would've definitely grabbed one. If they drop in price later this year I may just buy one instead of saving up for a 5070 or 5080.
Hello. Would the "S" tier GPUs on this list work with an AM4 build Ryzen 7 5800x3d? (As I cannot upgrade to something further due to AM4 limitation)
Yes the 5800x3d would be great for anything in this list.
5800x3d will work with basically any gpu. Even in more cpu-intensive games you won't miss out on any FPS. With a 4090, 5800x3d was only like 10-15% slower than 7800x3d. You are fine.

@@tullyparker Of course! Also, if you’re upgrading to 1440p, it might be worth upgrading your ram if you don’t already have 32gb. I’ve had very few instances where I actually run over 16gb of ram but I like the peace of mind of having 32gb

This list would be completley different for Australia. You can get a 4070 ti for the same price as a 4070 super.
While the RTX 4090 makes my eyes water because of the price here in Australia.

Depends how much you wanna spend , its really that simple , both cards will do the job just fine but the 4080 super is obviously better .
If you are going team Nvidia it maybe wouldn't be bad to wait for the 5080 to see what it is like and how much it will cost , I heard the performance for it will be similar to the 4090 with 20 GB of VRAM I think but it wont be nearly is expensive so its really up to you .

@@macwitdacheese112 i7 11700F is just fine. Wouldn't pair it with anything above a 7800XT to avoid a bottleneck.
I'd say get a RX 6800 16GB for around 400$ and then upgrade the cpu+mobo later on from the saved money(extra 100$) plus selling the 3060Ti 8GB.

4070ti super vs rx7900xt you wrong my friend ... what is the meaning when activate raytracing to lose minimum 40% GPU performance? I dont give a s.hxt about raytracing if penalties are so great ...better to have nice rastering , more vram , big memory bus ! (so you will crybag and say but Rtx have dlss 4.0...well Rx have fsr 3.1 , so np here).

Because in raster performance they are incredibly close, so you are paying either 100usd less but still 700usd for minimal raster gains, that are game dependant since there are games that do better on amd, and others on nvidia, or you pay an extra 100 and get a better feature set for upscalling, fg, tools, software compatibility, stable driver releases and schedule, and enough rt horsepower for it to be playable.
From my own experience i switched a 7900XT for a 4070TIS, and my rasterized fps didn't really change, besides 2 games that do better on nvidia (halo infinite and war thunder), and i can play 2077 with path tracing at 60fps without fg being enabled, 120fps with dlss3fg, and the 7900GRE makes the existence of the 7900XT pointless with how much cheaper it is and it's OC headroom.

Personally i think i would swap 4070 super and 4070 ti super because 4070 super is the better one for price to performance and at 1440p games aren't as vram demanding as in 4k where 4070 ti super is by far the best value gpu for 4k. You can easily get r5 7600 + 4070 ti super and you've got yourself a monster 4k gaming pc that will last for years especially on an am5 platform

Many people will tell you Holly bottleneck but in every game even in HOI4 or Total Wars i am still using more GPU than CPU so...😂
And about GPU only in helldivers 2 i saw 1st time GPU utilization at 100% at 1080p so you are fine if you are building it for 1080p but i reccomend you to go with R5 7600X for better CPU upgrades later

7900 gre overclocked jumps from A to S for me.
you can memory overclock every gpu and get similar gains, even more from rtx 40 series
used 3080 can max out any game in 1440p for under $400

ended up switching my 7900XT for a 4070TIS and honestly, im pretty happy with the change, my experience with amd was almost perfect until i got an RDNA3 gpu, and my experience there was headache after headache, troubleshoot or problems that haven't been fixed, and after afmf got fully released, their 24.X drivers have been incredibly hit or miss, but are broadly unstable for 7000 gpus, it gave me more problems than the 6800 and rx 580 did together from 2018 to 2023.
Getting all the feature set of nvidia, especially DLAA was such a game changer with no performance loss, especially here since they are at the same price, so there's no reason to get the XT anymore with our pricing, especially when they are so marginally close in raster performance, which becomes game dependant (and most of my games do run better on nvidia), and using a fraction of the power draw for the same fps targets, as of now, the GRE is probably as far as i can recommend radeon.
I think the 6800 should be s tier, its 380 while the 6750xt is 330, its 18% faster in 1440p(comparing to 4060ti 16gb) and its just 15% more expensive, so I think it deserves s tier, it also has 4 etra gb of vram its a perfect S.

@@ShadowGamingPC1 6700xt average below 60fps in Alan Wake 2 1440p high settings without ray tracing. You will need an Rx 6800 to average 60fps high settings in that game at 1440p
