I'm a black teacher and I have to play this "education game" and ohhhh buddy it does exists. Every job is like this, but at some point you have to decide what road to take. People get so caught up "being real' and "speaking that real s***" that they forget that after you're done speaking you still have to feed the mouth that did the speaking. So you have to decide do you want to be real or eat. So it seems to me that she just kind of wrote the Epilogue to her Hollywood career. She had a good run though. Hopefully the royalties from the Parkers box set last until she finds a new lane lol.
