    I keep going back and forth on X vs H but I think im sticking with X. I love the deep tone of the H pipe down low but my thing is that it gets kind of boring sounding up top vs an X pipe. I like hearing the Coyote scream through the gears/rpms. I feel like that's the whole appeal and is a feature unique only to the Coyote. I feel the H kind of takes it away by trying to blend it in to sound like the rest of the V8s of the past. I think if the Coyote only revved to 6500 then I'd go with an H. But as of now, I like to listen to the Coyote scream as it eats through the rpms and project that uniqueness.

    X has the crisp crackle on decel I love. I ran an H on mine for a long time and changed to the X and love it.

      @@hUrFaH54 If its a 3" variant, you should be able to make it fit.. the only issue I could thing is where the Borla midpipe ends and the axleback starts being a different length.

    H pipe sounds better to me more retro. The X pipe was to raspy and loud. H pipe sounds just rite I been waiting for this video since you first mentioned the H pipe thank you for posting the video really helps me decide which setup to go with for my 2018 gt

    I have the Steeda h-pipe with the stock active exhaust. It sounds so good I can't justify dropping 2K on the Corsa.

    New pipes sound great. I like the deeper note myself. My favorite is the pause for effect at 3:25.......then commence to violently shake the exhaust! I know I've looked like that a few times laying under the car.

    Now try an x pipe after the downpipes followed by double H pipes, x pipe to combine the sound of the cylinders and smooth it out then H pipes to lower the tone

    I agree with Luis that they both sound good in their own way. Although being around mustangs for the past 27 years I prefer the H pipe tone. Yes I’m old school in that and, it sounds meaner with that deeper growl vs the screaming X. And yes I did hear the level on the H pipe drop a little. Some frequencies I don’t think the camera will pick up. But you could hear the subtle differences on the slow roll by and slower take off. The all out I couldn’t hear the difference. It was a great vid Zander!! Thanks for putting this together for us to hear!!!

    Zander there is a guy on a facebook Edelbrock supercharger group with a single turbo mustang in Atoka Tennessee is that close to you. He is maybe 80% done and now selling. Maybe you or Ken could use this as an opportunity for some content either by helping him or buying his project. Lots of carbon fiber on the car, fenders hood door trunk all CF. New engine , single turbo etc. Just a thought.

    I do not like the sound of an H-pipe. The X-pipe on a modern technology engine like the coyote and voodoo motors makes them sound so exotic and amazing. Plus x-pipe flows so much better

      Yeah the X-pipe tends to give the Euro exotic sound, race car sound. I prefer the Mustang to have a muscle car sound. Ever since the Coyote came out, I always thought it never really had that Mustang sound. I am referring to the smaller 4.6L and even the Terminator Cobras and old 5.0. They had that hollow, metallic rumble. I know the Coyote is a 4 cam, 32 valve, but then so were the 2003-2004 Cobra and Mach 1's. I didn't like the high pitch rasp. The H pipe from what I have heard flows better in the low to mid-range. The combo I have is an MRT H-pipe with GT500 mufflers. To me it's the closest to the Mustang sound you can get. It has that deep rumble idle, and on easy acceleration has a nice burble almost like a high powered speed boat. No drone, but it can sound like a Hemi on cruise. And on WOT sounds like the 1967 390 big block in the film Bullitt.

    H pipes always give a deeper exhaust note and have that muscle car thump, x pipes are to raspy and sound like shit like most imports do! I feel the double H is a gimmick and doesn't do much for performance or sound from a normal single H pipe!!!

    HH = HOT 🔥. You are right it’s a little quieter at lower RPM it seems. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. For sure a deeper rumble and maybe a little more crackle and pop at the end off throttle??

    The difference is subtle, but the double H has a slightly deeper tone in the lower RPM range. The double sounds better at WOT though in my opinion.

    110% better with the H!! Imo no contest.. i feel like a lot of the newer cars, mustang, camaro, etc sound similar with similar mods. But the H pipes set the mustangs apart and you know when u hear it around the corner, its a mustang

    2:30 i personally don't think the x pipe is exotic sound i had mine for a year. i could not bear the sound any more longer is like a honda ricer, is like having a trumpeter in your back seat 24/7, now the h pipe is a more grown adult type of sound a more all around sound almost hyper car territory, nice deep deep low and high tone at any rpm range and a nice feeling with that added torque of the h pipe , the x pipe give you more peak performance but honestly and realistic i don't need for my application peak performance i was looking for that torque and the h pipe deliver and exceeded my expectations.
