Thanks a ton mate, i was just changing my tires and wondered if i should replace the filter too while i had it in the garage. Saw that filter housing next to the tank and couldn't believe my eyes, a fuel filter in such a convenient place :D I had to check from CZcams if this was indeed the case and it sure was.

Hi Dave great video thanks very much just changed my fuel filter on my zafira tourer 2.0 cdti I had no clue it was under the car 👍🏻, quick question if you don’t mind me asking, have you any idea we’re the map sensor is located on my zafira tourer 2.0, having a bit of ruff idling, iv cleaned the throttle boddy which was full of soot and was pretty bad actually and there still is lots of soot going into the engine after the throttle boddy, so was just wondering if you know we’re the map sensor is cheers Jim

My spare car is a zafira b 1.7 diesel , bought it in 2011 when it was a year old , and with all of the recalls and fires , decided just to keep it instead of trading it in , brilliant car for motorways , and heading to cairnryan ..... when I changed the diesel filter on mine it was inside the engine bay and I had to take the scuttle boards at the bottom of the windows off , another good video as per usual , cheers Dave 👍

La mejor manera de purgar el filtro.
    Y sin usar cebadores manuales.
    Correcto. 👍

Dave i use a couple of cotton buds and clean out the diesel in the seal recess so the recess is really dry. Only takes a few seconds. The seal then stays in ok with friction while you screw up the filter lid.

I find on this engine if you don't bring them for a good run you end up with a long crank.

plummer grease food save or the brake rubber grease but id say food save plummer grease be more easy to get otherwise vasseline petroleum jelly or what ever it is called. anything else could cause problems having said that i use molley grease to build fuel injector pumps but not sure if it woyld be plastic save the other ones should be ok.

some have it underneath the car next to the tank, some have it inside the tank, some have it in the engine bay at the top - Skoda Octavia II has the fuel filter at the top of engine bay, right behind the right light, best placed fuel filter I've ever seen. Shame they changed the filter dimensions throughout the production, so you gotta keep an eye on what you buy - I did not know, so I had to buy the fuel filter twice.
