How Oliver Bearman Will FIX Haas’ Problem

  • We saw the rise of a new F1 rookie at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He's proved his worth, but what team should hire him for 2025?
    Haas seems like the most obvious option, and I believe he can do something similar to what Niki Lauda did at BRM in 1973.
    But what problem does Haas have? Why can Ollie Bearman fix it? And why Haas in the first place? Aren't there better F1 teams available?

    He wont solve Haas until haas solve their car.

      Of course that will have an effect. But the point I was trying to make is that Ollie will bring two things to the team:
      1) Reduce that quali deficit that Kevin has to Nico - which will help them bag more points
      2) Bring fresh energy to the team which will motivate the team to operate at a higher level.
      But I by no means think he’ll get them into the top 6 teams. I’m not delusional 🤣😆

    Okay why doesn't a video of this quality have more views? Good content fam! You've earned a subscriber!

      Haha. Thanks mate! Appreciate it. Icl, YT has been liking the content lately. Four 1 out of 10 videos in a row so hopefully this is my chance 😄. Just gotta ride the wave lol

    The drivers are not the issue at Haas. Funding and creating a car that actually works on all tracks in the problem.

      It’s one of the problems, 100%. But look at what Nico was doing in quali that K Mag couldnt. There’s a clear performance gap between them. This was a video petition to get Bearman on the 2025 grid 🤣

      @@jakemorganGP Okay i understand and i really want Bearman on the grid as well. For me Stroll, Sargeant and Zhou are the ones that can leave. Followed closely by Bottas, Magnussen and Ricciardo. Those last three are average and will never get better than they are now. Lawson, Pouchaire, Drugovich and Bearman should get a chance. Antonelli is highly rated as well but i need to see more from him.

      @norbertjanssen814 completely agree with this mate. Although I like Ricciardo’s personality, but he should be a presenter if that’s what’s important

    Ollie already lives in Italy anyway. So a move to Haas is a relatively easy transition for him. And given that Haas will probably become Ferraris only customer team at that point, it makes total sense for Bearman to have a couple seasons to get used to F1 while Hamilton Runs out his contract and, I'm assuming, eventually retires. Haas has a strong car for the midfield fight as well, shown by the small sample size we've seen. If Ollie performs well in F2 this season, I see every chance for him to move to Haas next year and get a couple seasons under his belt. The key point in all of this is that he's still just 18 and has insane potential. I would love to see a Leclerc Bearman lineup in 2027 and hopefully the regulation changes mean that Ferrari have closed the gap to Red Bull.

      Yes! This would be great to see! It’s the same as Lawson’s performances last year against Yuki. He was immediately on the pace of Yuki despite having two and a half seasons less experience in the car. It definitely proved Lawson’s worth, and Bearman has proved his own as well. Cant wait to see it all play out.

    I don’t Think they Will give Oliver a chance due to the amount of money they lost to rookies, and also Kevin has got back on Nico in the race alot of times, also if they keep on with the strategi with one driver defending from the rest of the midfield then Kevin Will be much better at helping Nico and the team score points

    • @jakemorganGP
      @jakemorganGP  Před 2 měsíci

      True. In all honesty I wasn’t expecting KMag to do this well this year. Maybe Bearman to Williams then?

      @@jakemorganGP yeah probably but Logan has also done very well in a car Albon just cant seem to make work at the start of this season. I don’t think he will get a car next year but let’s see what happens

    Thats what they said about mick... going to haas as a rookie is a death sentence.

    • @jakemorganGP
      @jakemorganGP  Před 2 měsíci

      Interesting take on this. Could definitely see it going that way too. I guess it just depends on if Bearman can keep it out the wall whilst being very close/faster than Hulkenburg

    Lots of F3000 champions didn't do well in F1

    And also I wouldn't trust Planet F1 if they gave me a glass of water so would likely not refer to them for anything credible😂😂

      Haha great point. I know AMuS is a credible source so will look to use them in the future too. Any other media outlets that are really reliable? (Apart from the likes of RACE and Autosport?)

  • @guillaumecaron6609

    Its about the car not the driver

    • @jakemorganGP
      @jakemorganGP  Před 2 měsíci

      If that were the case then Hulkenberg wouldn’t be getting the quali results he has been the past year, with the gaps to Kevin that they have been.
      F1 drivers are paid the big bucks because they are supposed to be the best in the world at getting every last drop of performance from a racing car. Kevin is clearly lacking something in quali trim.
      The car held them back in the races last year, but that’s a whole different aspect that I wasn’t discussing in this video.
      Let’s see how he does this year, but I honestly doubt he’s going to be able to match Nico.
      Thanks for watching tho mate 🙌🏼

    No he wont. No better than any of the midfield runners, all that happened was that he got a lucky break in a faster car, sounds familiar ?

    • @jakemorganGP
      @jakemorganGP  Před 2 měsíci

      Let's wait and see what happens. I stand by the fact that he'd still be an upgrade on Kevin Magnussen. But then again, they thought that about Mick Schumacher, so you could be right.
