Before we start, let’s make something clear. Someone asks on Quora, “Why do Americans call university, college?” It is a little bit confusing if you’re not from the U.S. When Americans talk about college they are usually talking about institutes of higher learning that you attend after you graduate high school. One university might have several colleges, such as Cornell University, which has seven. ‘College’ and ‘university’ are interchangeable. We just thought we’d make that clear.
If you say you are going to college in the UK or Australia or somewhere in Asia, it usually means a place of further education or somewhere you might study a vocational subject such as nursing, textile manufacturing or automotive repair. So, today we are talking more about differences after high school graduation rather than a comparison of two similar types of institutions.

I’m not a “popular kid” though cause all these groups never heard of each other so to each school I only have a few friends when in actuality I have many.

Freedom always comes with more responsibility. When you're a baby you have pretty much no freedom, but everything you need (nutrients and water) is given to you so you don't have to do anything. In most of the United States.
High school = You better be on a prime sports team or one of the popular kids with rich parents if you want to have fun and not be miserable. Social status is important.
College = You better be an athlete or in a decent fraternity/sorority if you want to have the "college experience". Social status is 10 times more important than it was in high school.
What do they have in common? Adults and grown ups will desperately grab you and say "look her junior these are the best years of your life!" while having a psychopathic look on their face because very likely these are the same people that amounted to nothing in life.

Our teachers were very different to now , my old biology teacher sometimes would cancel class because he was tired so we’d go home early.
Now it’s worse we have to stay in school all the time the teachers are more cautious in class and there is little to no freedom, but we do have less lessons

That was quite a shock initially as I am and have been a notorious procrastinator my whole life, so there were some assignments and papers that just barely got completed in time to be turned in. It's definitely a strange feeling when someone else is behind the wheel for the first 18 years of your life and then suddenly "BOOM, okay go be an adult now." Uhhhh......how? With College and University, you have greater choice over the schools that you attend, the degree and major that you do and the kinds of classes that you take. This means that you are around more like-minded people in your classes with similar interests so it’s easier to make friends. Although the degree of choice is based on your SAT and the strength of your college applications.
This is opposed to high school where you don’t get a choice (or much choice) of where you go and the kinds of students that you are around. You will be around many people with varying and differing interests and it’s challenging to make friends if you re an introvert or have interests that are not considered to be overly popular (I.e. if you’re not into Sports).
College and University is more freeing whereas High School is more restrictive with the kinds of classes that you need to take and the differing personality and social types of people that you are around in classes.

Gives me more time during the day when im not mentally exhausted, and more time to study material when you have 2 or 3 classes a day spread hours apart.

People who cheat, disruptive, popular, or social often tend to drop out cause they have no self control.
I'm a Junior in Marketing at a moderate University and life was heaven compared to my High School. People cheated off me, ask me retarded questions and regurgitate information. RIP MAC users cause most of them don't know even know Ctrl +F or where the save button is.
