My dad lived with us and he did help with my kids. I surely didn’t expect him to watch them. But it sure was nice knowing he was there for me while I worked. He said it made him feel like he was useful. I was lucky to have him. He’s gone now and truly miss him.

I just love how you do the normal every day things and make the tedious chores so much fun. You’re such an inspiration. I was watching one of your cooking vlogs a couple of days ago and I’ve cooked two of them today. They smell delicious so I’m looking forward to eating them. It’s hard work raising a family doing the cleaning cooking and chores, along with fitting in activities is an enormous feat. You do an amazing job.

Omg, the grandparent babysitting thing really gets me, we lived far away from family also, so also did what we had to do. But had a friend who was literally angry with her mom for planning a trip, when she needed her to watch her kids. “ she knew we were going, and it is her job as a grandparent to be there” Ummmm NO,! She raised her kids now it is her “job” to live her life! JMO
I hear that - perspective can be hard to gain when you are used to having certain things

Thank you so much you don't give yourself enough credit for how many people you make happy and laugh every time you post. I first started watching when you were making school lunches I was only 11/12yrs old and I have continued to watch now being 16yrs old I aspire to have a family like yours and be as happy and positive as you are. I don’t expect my parents/in-laws to babysit. But they usually ask to babysit our girls every week. I am extremely grateful for them because I know so many don’t have that kind of help!
I love that! That is so great that they're involved! I think it's so important for kids to have a relationship with their grandparents. They learn so many valuable life lessons from grandparents!
My husbands parents have both passed. My mother lives too far away for us to actually get help. How wonderful it would be to have family pitch in ❤️ kids learn so much from other family members. You are blessed for sure 😊

I don’t take for granted how involved our parents are in our children’s lives. I feel for those who don’t have that. One day you guys will be the best grandparents to your many grandkids 💕

I am in the same boat as you. My parents have watched my daughter less than five times… it’s so rare I can’t remember. She has only stayed the night with them once. My parents watch my sister’s three kids overnight, every single weekend, and have now for seven years. My heart breaks for the day that she realizes that her grandparents treat her differently than her cousins.
Hello Kim! I about near rolled around laughing when you said I guess people don’t know how to bend over in my house. It’s true in most houses, especially those with children. Kids can bend at the waist but they can trip down the stairs and end up without a scratch on them. Have a great day!!
I wouldn’t say I *expect* my mom to babysit, but I know I can rely on her. I know I’m very privileged to have my mom close, in proximity and emotionally. That relationship can be so complex for so many people. I’m incredibly thankful for my mom, I know if I need someone to keep my kids, I can call her and if she’s home they’re always welcome there. I don’t ever want to take that for granted!
My mom takes care of my 10 month old and 2 year old daughter while I work. She also helped take care of my 18 year, 15 year, and 13 year old sons when they were babies so I could work. She’s always been a HUGE help and for that I’m always grateful

My family never watched our children but that made us a closer family. I, however, look forward to watching my grandchildren. I always think who wouldn’t.
It depends on the kiddos. Some are unruly and don’t obey, and are not fun to babysit. Others are a dream!
Our parents babysit our kids all the time and we are so grateful! I don't know what we would do without them.
We have 5 beautiful grandchildren (3 girls and 2 boys) and we’ve been voluntarily babysitting since they were days old - we were the main source of childcare for 2 of them when our daughters went back to work and I’m forever grateful that we were able to do that - they’re all at school now (1 at college) but we see them every day and have them for dinner at least twice a week - we’re definitely blessed
I live the way you keep things so real on your channel instead of the perfectly curated ones that only show one wall of their home! I never expected my parents to babysit but they would one Friday night a month when my kids were little it was such a blessing. Usually cleaned and did laundry but was still nice. Now that I’m about to have my first grandchild I’m so excited and will watch the baby anytime I’m free.

I downsized everyone’s clothes, our towels and bedding etc in the household. Now I do one-two loads daily and sometimes skip two-three days etc and we are more than fine. Less is more. 💕

My mom retired to watch my son, I am extremely grateful for her. It’s the longest commute she has ever had, she comes to our home because she lives in the opposite direction of our work.
I had very little outside help with my kids when they were young. Now as a grandmother, I have told my daughters I expect to be asked first to watch my little boys. For me their is no greater joy than spending time with them and helping my girls at the same time. Who out there is with me on this one?

I’ve never ever EXPECTED my parents to help, but we are a very tight nit family (we live next door to my parents, and about 3 minutes from my grandparents) so family has always been here for each-other to help out. I grew up being babysat by no one else except my grandmother, and now my daughters have that same experience with their grandparents (my parents). Now my husbands side of the family is the complete opposite, they do not help with anything and honestly don’t care to, which is totally fine. 😂 I’m beyond thankful that my parents want to be so involved in my kids lives, it’s so special to me 🤍🤍

My Mom always wanted to be close to my and give me a break. I never appreciated her enough when she was alive. She was precious to me and my kids.
My parents keep my son for the night pretty much every other weekend. My mother in law who recently moved near by helps watch my son all the time. Is it expected no, but they both just want to spend time with him and help us out. I don't know what I would do without their help I am so grateful.

I expect it only because of the attitude of my parents and in laws. From the beginning, they were all in. We moved to be closer to them (among other reasons) and I am SO grateful that they are all about watching our kiddo(s).
On the grandparent babysitting thing…. I am a grandparent and although it isn’t expected of me (us), I do keep them as much as I can because it brings so much joy to me. We are fortunate to live very close to our children. Their friends tell them all the time how lucky they are to have us in their lives. My parents did the same for us and I remember how much I appreciated them for the help, love and nurturing they gave my children. I don’t feel like it should ever be expected for sure.

Love these cleaning videos. You always give me inspiration to just get it done and the best is a cleaning buddy. My older sister would always asked me to come help her. She sadly passed away 6 months ago and I will those cleaning days. As always thank you for being available and truthful with you life and your time.
Yes! You can hire people to clean with you/tackle your house with you. I cleaned for 2 families all through college that while I cleaned they would clean. I was never offended and happy to help encourage them. They would declutter, organize, whatever they needed to do and I’d deep clean or help with the declutter. Sometimes we’d do tasks in parallel like scrubbing windows, floors, the outside trim of the house, hanging laundry to dry, lawn care, etc. It felt like I was cleaning with my mom or sister. :) we loved it! And I made good money doing it!
Also, I have always wanted to tell you! Every time I watch your videos, I feel like we were friends in kindergarten or something. Is that possible? If so, I have missed you for 30 years 🥲 🤓😋

I do not expect their grandparents to babysit but my kids grandparents do all the time. Growing up I was always at my grandmas house! I certainly do not expect them to but so glad that they do! 4 babes 4 and under is a handful so I’m completely grateful!!
💯 on the expectations thing. Gratitude is a better space than resentment. We have a lot of grandparent help so that we can both work part time, but never expect anything. They want to be involved, & we are thankful for the help, but we try not to assume anything from them! They often say we could ask for more, but we don't want to ask too much!

I never expected my family to watch my kids. But I do badly wish I lived closer to my daughter so that I could help take care of my grand daughter all the time. I never get enough of her. I would watch her all day every day no questions asked for free. Why a blessing it would be. My daughter lives in California and I live in Texas so all I get with her right now is FaceTime.

I never expected my parents to babysit my kids! But they always offered or would ask if my boys could stay with them. I’ve been a grandparent for 15 years, and have never been expected to take care of my grandson. My husband and I have been such hands on grandparents, that we always asked if he could stay with us. I remember when he was 5 years old, he went to Disneyland and my hubby and I were on vacation in Colorado. We got a phone call from our grandson in tears because he missed us so much. His mom said he was almost inconsolable and she had to call us so he could hear our voice. Needless to say we cut our vacation short so we could be home when he returned from the “HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!” I suppose NANA and PAPPY were his happiest place on earth! LOL We still have such a close bond, and feel so grateful to be involved in every part of his life. I would be happy to watch your 4 cuties any time! Your family is absolutely precious. When I have a day during the month when I have a whole day to my self I put 30 minutes per area of my house and deep clean it all. I clean up during the day everyday but I have 4 kids so they mess right behind me and it never looks fully spotless until I can wipe walls scrub heater vents and rearrange my cupboards ect.. I respect you as a mother wife and CZcamsr because you are Real and you don't put on a front.. you are my spirit animal and I know we would have been best friends if we lived near each other 🥰

I am a grandparent, Adopting 2 of my grandkids ages 3 and 4. Have another 3 year old and 1 year old grandkids that I watch often . And another due with in the next 3 weeks . I Love my grand babies and enjoy getting time with them .

I don't expect anyone to help watch my kids. I do accept it and ask when needed. We are lucky that my mom opened nanas daycare when all the littles where babies and my husband's aunt has her own day care for years because I could never comfortably send him to a "stranger". I worked over nights while hubby worked days his first 4 years and she only watched for a few hrs while I was at school. Now he is 7 and the only kid thing to come out of the past year and a half is I work from home and dnt need to worry about it. Laundry never ends and there is only 3 of us. Your videos are the highlight of my week!

We never had children, in the beginning I used to decorate for the seasons, now that I am more mature (chronologically) I rarely do any seasonal decorating. Are you using the multi surface cleaner from Grove? I’m just getting started with Grove and so far I am impressed with how well it cleans.
That house cleaning, under the sink's, dusting knick knacks, refrigerator and stove, paperwork organization, all takes me a long time! Love the pictures, get some pictures of baby Meredith, she is adorable, Mommy's little helper❤ I realize you're busy. Take Care, see you soon!

For Amazon returns you can print the labels yourself and ups will come to you’re home and pick them up! So you’ll never have to leave to return them.
UPS brings their own label when they pickup for Amazon. You just need to box it up. But you can print a label and drop them in any UPS drop box too.

Omg the Jordan Page reference 🤣🤣. I always thought that was so bizarre, look how far she has come though!? We only decorate for Halloween and Christmas, I have purged all other decor! My kids are teens now, Easter baskets are going now too! My MIL and SIL did 99.9% of our childcare…without hesitation they jumped in with both feet. I would never say a word to them but there is something unnatural about having someone in your house all the time when you’re gone…that’s all I can say about that🤣🤣 Nothing they did ever went unappreciated ❤️❤️

@@DanielaSotoC If you look back on their videos, early on Jordan was on an episode of America’s cheapest family or something like that on TV and they followed her around as she went to her neighbors asking them if they had any food items they weren’t going to use or planned to donate and could she have it?? I’m not sure if it was put on for the TV show but it was crazy!

I keep my grandson as much as I can get him. He is nine. We travel, cook, garden and discuss life together. I attend his activities and take him to appointments. I love being with him. Wish I had more.

I would never expect any of my family to ever help me they never have they have never offered they have never even offered knowing I am in desperate need . I know it's wrong but I am use to it... At least I feel like I am until they do something with what seems like the entire Family and didn't even care to offer us to come and then deep inside I am hurt and accidentally let it get to me.. don't get me wrong I would probably cry if I was ever offered any help ever.. it's just me the hubs and the 4 kids and that's family enough for me❤️ However I know my kids would enjoy more time with grandma and grandpa.
I definitely don’t expect my parents to babysit, but they love having my older son (5 years old) spend the night at their house and always offer to watch the kids if my husband and I want to do something without the kids. I feel very fortunate!
I used to be a cleaner and I would go to the houses and most women wanted to chat with me while I cleaned. So they would follow me around and chat while I cleaned. I loved it.

I like to say my house is clean enough to be healthy. Honestly, I think there's a social tendency to out cleaning too high on the priority list.
I often have better things to do... haha I'm right there with you!

About grandparents taking care of grandkids...when I had my kids my parents lived away from us, but in laws lived a couple streets away. It averaged 3 or 4 times a year they took them to babysit. Now with grown children I am a live in grandma for my son and daughter in law and take care of my 5 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter, since my grandson was 7 months. Love it and for reward my son buys me a vacation every year (except 2021, just made my 2020 trip in the nick of time). These are trips to Europe so far and every year it's all about planning the next one for my bday in February. Next trip Paris, Florence and Rome. On another note laundry is a load everyday, washed, dried, folded and put away, that way it only takes less than 10 of my time and it doesn't pile up.
