The 7600 XT will serve a superniche of entry level workstations (particularly for software dev) because of those mandatory DP 2.1 outs. That ensures enough out bandwidth to properly handle 4K 240 Hz displays and especially 2x4K 240 Hz displays in Windows desktop (gaming is not of primary concern in this niche). It's basically the cheapest card with 3x DP 2.1 54 Gbit/s outs.

Awesome video, curious about the A770. Just a heads up that for me at least the mix on the voice in this video was a bit too intense to listen to at any volume, I think the mids/lower-mids could do with being EQed down a little so that it's less shouty/oppressive. Sorry for the unsolicited feedback hope it doesn't come across in a bad way!
i have had an Acer Predator Bifrost A770 16gb for over a year now(got one from the 2nd shipment newegg got), the big thing has been having a cpu that can deal with the driver overhead, thats gotten better but still applies to varying degrees, for example a 10400f is not going to get you great fps in gta-v with an arc card that is, on the other hand, my 7980xe i bought on ebay, and the 7940x i had before that, also ebay, both just set to 4.6ghz all core turbo, have always shown better results then 6c12t chips do.
for editing, i have not done a ton, mostly done some tests for friends as they watched me stream it.. in one case, my buddies wife kiped his acer a770 before he got home and put her 6950xt on his desk instead.... because the video supports WAY better, and drivers for non-game perf have been at worst on part with amd's random "how the hell did this decades old bug come back" drivers... and dont get me wrong, i am not a hater of amd.. i loved my 290x's, till they broke them with wattman and eventually, after 18mo, drove me and every other amd user i knew who wasnt on a fury or newer, to pascal cards... whats amusing is i grabbed this card, then my buddy rich bought one... then 4 of our friends... all on fury or pascal gen nv cards.. and we have all had far less issues then we expected... we remember voodoo, ati rage, tnt, etc... we are old... and... this has been overall a good exp for all of us...
depending on the app you are using, most even older apps that support quicksync, today, will work, at worst you may want to replace the quicksync dll's the app comes with, with newer ones, (we did this with my buddies copy of vegas before sony patched support in officially and it boosted perf and funny enough unlocked av1 as, vegas could detect av1 support after the files were replaced with ones recommended on a vegas subforum, but, months ago a "beta" patch dropped from an official source that used even newer files..)
for a creators card, its a great option im assured by the creators i know who have been using them.. an a380 is enough to do 1080p video editing with ease, a580-770 8gb will perform very close, and 16gb cards will show benefit from the larger vram limit, oh and as an example on encode speed, i hit 300ish fps doing 4k transcodes, in max quality mode with a bitrate quality sider set to whatever is best for the media in question.. for example anime dosnt tend to need the bitrate high detail live action content does to look great... but outside that.. av1 and hevc perform very similar..
i am told if you have a 12th gen or newer that the quicksync setup can use the igpu to decode as the gpu encodes boosting perf pretty drastically more so for editing and scrubbing timelines with live previews.. buddies wife actually does her setup work on a 9990xe with 128gb of ram on quad nvme vrog raid, then does the encode job over a direct 10g connection using her 13900k and arc card, because the 13th gen has more latancy when editing then 11th gen and earlier... and it bugs her.. but doing the actual encode with the system thats the fastest for the job in the house has zero down side.. she just saves the job file to the folder that shared and runs it from the faster for encoding system... whats funny is for vp9 encoding the 9900xe is faster.. as thats 100% cpu driven and 5.4ghz all core, all cores being p cores.. is far from slow.. (i want her cpu.. wouldnt even oc it just enable core enhancement to get all cores to full turbo and leave it at that..heh..

6700XT here. Undervolted, upped the memory clocks to the max (2150Mhz) and swapped to fast timings. Kept the same base clock for the GPU. It draws around 140-155w in most games instead of 190w+. And it's stable. I got an XFX model and the fans never go above 20%. Temperatures float around 55-67Cº depending on the game. It's dead silent, pushes most titles to 90FPS+ on maxed out settings at 1080p and it costed me only 275€. It's insane!

Hi, at the time I got my 6700xt I would love to have a 5600x with it. Sadly my budget wasnt there yet, so I opted for a 3600+ 6700xt. I would say is still really good. I only play league of legends, but wanting to play fortnite to became a real rat kid, hahah.
So here's what i want to tell you: the performances would tell you (look at csgo) 400fps, but thats with a higher than 3600 cpu. So real performance: 240 with 170 (lows).

Hey there, I was planning to build and have already built my pc with 5600X and 6700XT for 1080p Ultra 120hz / 1440p Medium to Hugh 80 to 100hz gaming and all I have to say is: This combo is the BEST bang for the buck one. Zero regrets. So if any one of you is looking for a recommendation or confirmation or anything like it, I absolutely recommend this combo, cause it's the best in that budget. 👌

So been watching your channel for years. Started like 4 years ago and you directed me in my first PC build. Well Its time for me to build another PC and give that pc to my son as it still plays 1080p pretty well. So I care more about visuals and want the highest visual graphics at 60fps. I also play mostly RPG's like cyberpunk and baldurs gate. So if I wanted the best graphics with a 7800x3d for under 550.00 should I get the RTX4070 non ti or super or get the 7800xt. I found the plane 4070 for 530.00 and almost pulled the trigger but im having a very hard time deciding between these two cards. Should I wait 1 month do you think prices on the 4070 will even go lower?

the 4060 is good for 285 in the uk, i would definitely recommend it over the 7600XT but i would recommend the 6700XT as it performs close to 4060 Ti

Damn litterally was searching for this kind of video!! Was looking for a gpu thats good for some editing and gaming vs just solely gaming and I'm not up to date with the newer amd cards in terms of light editing performance.
Edit: what would you recommend in 2nd place for editing? This pc build I'm surprising someone with and want something that is more mature in software and drivers and and more reliable. (I want to be tech support as little as possible)
In most cases Nvidia is the safest bet for editing but there's a lot to ask. What kind of footage are working with, what's your editing suite. For example premier does a better job with Nvidia CUDA than open CL. Obviously the higher tier you can afford the better performance. At the same time, Radeon cards are not that far behind these days but the best site to look for all this Puget Systems... they cover it all ad nauseum.

Memory can only do so much if the card is already constrained and struggling with its current config. The issue here is the Navi 33 die in the 7600XT.
Pleased to see the 6700 XT still kicking. In bought it in july and I'm quite happy with it.
a used 6800 for a bit more would be better since the 6800 is stronger and runs 4k better (it gives 60+fps experience at high settings while the 6700xt on high settings would need fsr to get 50/60fps) and its 40/100$ more expensive depending if used or new

I got a 3060 ti for 340 aud (200ish US). These prices are common enough in Australia, it’s such a banger I can even use it at 1440p with my R5 7600. Aus also seems to have bad prices on used radeons

Hey, im looking forward to upgrade from my rtx 2070 to an rtx 4070 while still running my ryzen 5 3600. Do you think the bottleneck will be severe or still acceptable at 1080p?
Sadly i cannot upgrade my cpu since my mainboard dosn't support much better cpu's unless i flash my bios which i really don't want to risk.
Flashing BIOS is actually not as scary as you might think and would be 100% worth it as i Upgraded from the 3600 to the 5800x3D and still run a 2070 super and saw a nice gain in performance. The R5 3600 is kind of outdated now in my opinion and would not recommend upgrading the GPU before you upgrade the CPU. I noticed even running the R5 3600 with my 2070S that in FPS games where you try to push the most amount of frames possible using competitive or low settings i was most certainly CPU bottle-necked and it didn't feel good.

long as I don't play this years games I've found the RTX 6600 plays Unreal Engine 4 with no notable problems in gfx at 1440p. I think you only need a new generation if you want Unreal 5 at ultra settings

I play Cyberpunk with FSR Quality on my 4K TV at 4K60fps. With a Starfield mod on medium it looks great and easily holds 4K60fps. The card keep surprising, I think it's the new GTX1060 for longevity.🤔😁

I went for the 6750 XT because it was the same price as the 6700 XT and a better model (XFX QICK vs MSI Mech 2x) was wanted to spend around £250-£280 for 6650 XT or 4060 initially but I decided that it was worth the little extra for the 6750 XT (£329 at the time but Ebuyer have it for £300 now) Think it's great price to performance.

i dont understand that my xfx radeon rx 7600 is clocking at 2850 ish when just playing normal, but can ofc overclock to 3000, and then all the other 7600 has a boost clock at 2700. what does boost clock mean cuz i feel like i understand it but it just dosnt make sense to me
The data seems a bit odd, though.
Sure, the extra memory DOES help the 7600 XT on Forza compared to the non-XT, but the performance gap compared to the 6700 XT is a bit strange. Even the 4060 results in there are strangely low.
I believe the boost clock for the a770 is officially 2400mhz not 2460mhz.
So if I mostly play fortnite but also GTA and rocket league, and I need it for Unity game development, should I go for 4060

Looks like the 7600XT is still a good replacement for the 6700XT eventually with more VRAM. That Hellhound is probably better build than most 6700XT budget models you see available.
I dont think so, I do have a 6700xt, would never change for a something with less power raw (2560vs2048). I believe the 7600xt is a good replacement for the 6600xt, same that 7700xt would be a good replacement for 6700xt.
Definitely not a replacement. 6700xt would only be if you needed av1 encoder

4060 is best in every prospective. I love this GPU , RTX DLSS, AI , Editing, and overall gaming performance 4060 is the best one out of all these.
Except for vram, which could make it outdated soon.

The only game the 7600xt really makes a difference on is rtx medium cyberpunk. Its memory and gpu clock speed really prevents it from benefiting from the increased vram. Like many people said before- the RX 7600 doesn't need more ram.
I had a 6700 xt for over a year and replaced with a 3060 ti. Got tired of all the driver issues, even while not gaming, still had random black screens and virtual machine freezing issues. The 3060 ti has had zero issues with all game play performance in my experience much smoother
I went the other way, got a 6700XT couple weeks back to replace the 3060TI and then today upgraded to the 6800 lol

It might not actually. I know studio supports hardware decoding period for Intel, AMD, and Nvidia. This isn’t much of a problem for basic video editing however.
I got an RTX 4060 last week for my first custom build PC for $250 only, really worth it considering this is the cheapest GPU I can get from this video list in my country. And the total cost for my PC build around $600 using 12th Gen i5, RTX 4060, 16GB of RAM & 1TB nvme SSD, so far I'm really satisfied with my PC performance, this is a really huge upgrade for me coming from my 8 years old notebook that I bought for my study in late 2016.

@@iSa_Ach I'm won't call myself as a gamer so I don't really play games a lot on my PC, I usually play like 1 hours or less per day unless I have more free time or bored then I may play like 2-3 hours, I mostly use my PC for media consumption & browsing internet, the game that I play usually not really high demanding GPU like Genshin, Forza 5, COD WM2, Naruto Ninja Storm & some of switch games using Yuzu emulator like Zelda & Super Mario, but if you can afford those GPU then go for AMD with more VRAM, in my country the GPU from AMD not really cheap compared to Nvidia unless I buy the used GPU, since this is my first custom PC I don't want any risks by getting used part on my PC and I don't plan to upgraded any part of my PC for the next 5 years at least so that why I choose brand new GPU.

My initial build was supposed to be an r5 5600X paired with a 4060, as per your recommendation however unfortunately it's very hard to find any 3060Ti or a 3080.
Tech shops here is selling me to go r7 7700X paired with Rx 7700XT instead... I'm not sure about this combo, any insight?
That's a good combo. A better combo would be the 7800XT + 7700 or 7700X but that might be more expensive.
Should I buy arc770 for 1080p gaming for 3-4 years or 4060 8gb. Arc has some issues but it has 16gb vram, on the other hand is 8gb enough for 1080p gaming for at least 3 years? Help me out.

My Arc A77016 GB is performing much better at 1440p than the results he has showing here. On Ryzen 7600 CPU. Not sure what he had going on for his settings,but they seem low.
Why do you prefer the 4060 over anything else if it won't even last as long fort fortnite considering only 8gb of vram? Also, how long can 8gb of vram last in fortnite 1080p epic gaming? will it last at least 5 years?
I don’t recall really preferring the 4060 in this video. I just say that it’s only good for Fortnite, because it is. I point out its VRAM deficiencies quite clearly in the video.

Yes, but the 7900 is only marginally faster than the 7600 in almost all gaming scenarios. You would be better served getting the 7600 and a faster GPU.
What is the best streaming gpu to have out of this gpu’s?
*all of them* can stream no problem because of the *AV1* encoder except the 6700xt, but it still is a good card even for streaming

A lot of the techies are clowning over the 7600 xt.. but It's just the same as the 4060 Ti. I feel like it's a good card to upgrade to if your upgrading from a super outdated; old card, and have a small budget of around $300-$350. It's a super massive upgrade from lets say a GTX 1050 or something.

They cost more then the tuff I'm going to buy like the other part all combine minus the graphic card that is 580 and Memory card that is 1tb like my pc build budget is 455
